Strong but .....
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Theis EXPENSIVE system is definitely more powerful in terms of speed and range. Unfortunately due to my hobby room over my garage being 100 feet from the Satellite unit reception there is sketchy. U think the solution would be a second satellite inside the detached building but they do not offer the satellite by itself (I called). If I could buy a second satellite I would have rated it as a five even with the excessive price. Only buy this if you REALLY need the performance.

Mash system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was easy to set-up, works great and the range and speed that it gives you is fantastic. Will say if you want to improve your system a mesh system is the way to go.

Wow
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from the Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 6 orib and you can tell the difference, and with the easy setup it was a no-brainer. A bit pricey but well worth it if you can afford it.

Older devices create problems.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Orbi router with 2 satellites is Wi-Fi 6 capable and worked well in out 2-story vacation home. This Wi-Fi 6 capability, in my case, meant that my older laptop would no longer connect to my Wi-Fi system. I had assumed that it would step down to slower Wi-Fi speeds, but instead I had to purchase a Wi-Fi 6 dongle to get a connection. I like the fact that you can connect hardwired to the satellites, but I doubt that the satellites would be where you are wanting to connect. My older laptop wasn’t where one of the satellites was located so I now have another dongle. I have a 2-year old Dyson fan that was previously connected to my Wi-Fi system. Now I can’t get it to connect. Probably another Wi-Fi 6 casualty. I like the fact that the Orbi app lets you see exactly which devices are connected to the mesh network. I like the fact that I can be on a Wi-Fi call moving around and the signal just goes from one satellite to the other. I have very good coverage in my 3,150 Sq ft home. The instructions weren’t very clear how I could change the SSID from the original Orbi name and password to something I wanted. Sometimes being of the older generation has its difficulties. Overall, I think you would benefit from the Orbi router with two satellites as long as the devices you want to connect are Wi-Fi 6 capable.

Highly Recommended
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had used two different hubs that simply could not live up to their name. I had installed an Orbi mesh system for my daughter and her husband, and I decided that this was the answer to my slow speeds. I am now actually getting the speeds I pay for with greater flexibility for placement of the satellites. Highly recommend Orbi.

Time will tell
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We tried 3 different mesh systems before deciding to keep this one. We had a eero pro 6, an Asus Zen XT8 and this. Two factors made us ultimately choose this: It had the best overall stability and performance. Although there were many things to really like about the Zen, we also encountered several stability issues with it. To be fair, we were also using a two piece Zen ($ 449.00) vs two units which are substantially higher priced. The eero performed okay, but it didn't seem to offer too much versatility as far as being able to possibly connect accessories (security systems, gaming units, etc.) We live in a two story house just under 3000 sq ft, built in the early 60's. Therefore, it is not an open floor plan and contains a lot of walls. After serious evaluation, and a lot of research, we finally decided on this. The biggest con that I continually read, concerning this unit, was the price. As far as performance, there was very little to no criticism. Ultimately, we decided we didn't want to possibly be sorry because we opted to save $ 100-200. Not to mention, I'd rather have 2 pieces vs 3. I would consider myself to be a very through consumer. I like to extensively research a high dollar item before I buy it. I read customer reviews from various sites, paying particular attention to constructive comments, both pro and con. I read several, what I'd call, professional reviews, from respected sources. This might not meet the needs (or price range) of everyone, but we decided it was the best choice for us.

The best addition to my network yet.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me this was an upgrade of my existing Netgear Orbi router RBR50 system and it is incredible! I know very little about networking so I was afraid I might set it up wrong, but with an app on my phone from Netgear I had it set up in no more than 5 min... And the speed?? and the coverage?? Well aside from the steep price which seems to always be the case these days, it is just amazing all around. Get yours fast.. :-) Mark

I've now had the 4200 and this set.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing, with a serious issue. Great coverage, easy to configure, but a couple times per week I'd have to power them down, and power them up because they would lose upstream connection.

Finally consistent and reliable wi-fi!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We don't have a large home... it's your typical colonial ~2400 square feet. We previously used the Orbi RBK23W mesh system (1 router, 2 satellites) which worked okay. It was great in the beginning, but once we added Ring cameras around the exterior of the house and other smart home devices, the speeds were not consistent and the connectivity to the Ring cameras was awful. I kept thinking it was Xfinity that was causing issues... how could a mesh system operate so poorly? We repositioned the router and satellites several times... troubleshooting and resets. We upgraded our speed package twice, each time with no improvement. I finally got sick of the connectivity issues this past weekend when our home security alarm went off and I wasn't able to access the camera to see what was going on. Thankfully it was only a false alarm. I picked this up in store and had it up and running in about 10 minutes. I reused the old wi-fi network name and password and did not have to reconfigure my cameras or other smart home devices. Everything is operating much smoother. The speeds are consistent throughout my home - doesn't matter whether I'm in the basement, far corner, garage, etc... I'm getting at least 500mbps down and 15mbps up (I pay for 600/15). Most importantly, the Ring cameras are all working well. Their signal levels have increased and the recordings are smooth. I can live view any camera in a few seconds, where prior I would sometimes have to wait at least 15-20 seconds and keep trying over and over. Very pleased that this was achieved with one less satellite. You get what you pay for! Hopefully we will get a few years out of this wi-fi system, especially at this price point!

AMAZING
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, some of the Netgear wifi 6 products flopped for me, so we had to find an alternative and this was it. I was skeptical because of the drama with Netgear products BUT... This thing is amazing. I've own this device for over a month now. I'm getting up to 500-600+mb download / anywhere from 350-450+mb upload on average (ATT&T 1GIG using their CRAPPY gateway - bridge mode, you may get better results on your own modem router) wifi speed throughout my 2500sq+ house on good days (which I think it is decent for this covid-19 season). Obviously there will be areas that are weaker in signal, but it's decent enough to cover my entire house no problems. It does OCCASIONALLY drop out on random devices, but hard to say if it's the Orbi or ATT&T. My guess it could be the Orbi doing that. Worth $700? Mmmmmm My wife's company helped pay, so why not?! Personal budget? I would say that the lower Orbi's will for sure will do a similar job e.g. RBK50 - so it is a luxury, preparing for the future of wifi 6. The three pack AX4200 looked appealing (there's some deals out there), but I am happy with this purchase for the longer term investment. Bottom line: got the $$$, you won't regret. If you don't then the other lesser Orbi's will still be awesome. No parent control, the $60+? security firewall should be much cheaper - though it is decent. You can hardwire from the back of each (4 ports each), which is a good option. All of my buddies use Orbi and seemed to have a similar experience.

Blazing fast speed and solid reliability!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply put, this is the best WiFi experience money can buy. Paired with a simple cable modem, I now see full download and upload speeds in every corner of my 3000 sq ft house on every floor plus approx a 20 ft exterior perimeter. Compared to my prior WiFi 5 solution with single access point, there is no comparison to the blazing fast speed and solid stability with dozens of devices, simultaneous streaming devices, gaming and four people on video conferences working remotely all day long. Expensive? Yes! Worth it for no hassle speed and reliability? Absolutely.
