I was using an Xfinity X1 gateway with a wifi extender and everyone in the house complained about the internet. Went to my local Bestbuy and bought this, went home and set it up in minutes. WOW! I now have the full speed internet that I was paying for all along in every corner of my house. No more complaining from anyone.

I had the nighthawk prior to this. I now own a 3,000 sqft house with two stories and a huge backyard. I have one in the office, one upstairs, and one by the front of the house. I have coverage from the moment I pull into my driveway and my entire backyard with no deadspots within the house. This thing is amazing.

I tried multiple mesh networks with continuous issues of losing the satellites, slowing and erratic speeds and just having trouble setting it up. I decided to upgrade to the Orbi and 15 min later we were up and running at the fastest speed to date. No issues and no dropped internet...definitely worth every penny!

It does the job fairly well. Don't expect to receive 1 Gbps across all part of the home on Wifi. Certainly it will put your internet on a steroid as compared to just one router sitting in the basement. I generally receive the speed of 400mbps on a 1 Gbps wired link in the remotest place of my home. It used to be 90 mbps

    Mesh router is the future

I've tried several different routers throughout the years. There's always some dead spots in the house, but NOT with this mesh router. We no longer have issues staying connected or finding the internet. It is always there and available. Mesh is the way to go, especially for larger houses.

Great little Wi-Fi system that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Had a little bit of a hard time setting these up, but once I got past the router password and log in it was a breeze to do. This system has a really fast connection and you can also hard wire a couple RJ45's to your game console or computer from each of the satellites. Over all good value for the money.

I have a single floor spread out residence. Due to it's age and history, there have been several additions. All of these are brick/masonry walled additions. I was hoping for Orbi to spread the WIFI as advertised. Apparently, it will not penetrate through or over brick walls. The only way I was able to get one satellite unit to work, was to offset it with a line-of-site through a doorway. It then ricochets the signal to the other rooms. This was after spending a LOT of time/calls getting to a actual Orbi support woman located somewhere in India. She did help me get on line with the main unit and check signal strengths, etc. (language barrier here). The 2nd unit has never been functional to be used as a mesh system. After some remodeling of my residence, I may be able to triangulate it to again ricochet the WIFi to the desired area. Still using cable for now. If you have all wooden walls, it may perform better. Try many locations to achieve a good signal. In a perfect wood constructed house, I may recommend this.

I was very unsure of this technology, but needed to try something like it. I’m middle of the road with technology. I found it very easy to install and get it going. We now have really strong internet WiFi throughout our home, and even coverage outside our home. To us, it was very much worth the investment.

The mesh system covers our 4,000 sq. ft. home. The app allows us to label each devise and have a guest network with a separate name. We love the pause button which we use to turn off the WiFi when our kids need to get off. You can also use free services and link with Circle for more controls.

We recently got rid of our cable tv and switched over to YouTube tv. Our signal was lacking in some areas of our house and the Orbi system completely solved the problem. We have great WiFi internet signal everywhere in the house and on our lanai too. Highly recommend this product.

We had a big WI-FI problem because our router was in one end of the house and we had multiple users in the other end of the house - a number of rooms and walls away. This product solved all the problems, and the Geek Squad guy did a quick and easy job, even coming back when we has a slight hick-up.

we did not pick this... it was part of our in-home consultation set-up. it seemed to work fine with our ring doorbell for a while but soon our signal strength got weaker albeit still acceptable according to ring but one satellite was just on the other side of the wall :(. our issue was when there would be a power surge or outage, we had to disconnect all the units and resync the satellites which could be about 5 mins (i never timed it) but seemed liked forever. very frustrating. at another best buy store we were told that while the main modem is tri-band, the satellites were dual-band—no other agent would verify that. anyway, i can neither recommend nor not recommend as i am not a technical geek but we switched to the eero tri-band mesh.

My WiFi coverage was horrible through directv. Instead of looking to them for a solution I did my own research on mesh networks and Orbi kept popping up. I’m thoroughly satisfied with set up, function of the device and consistency of signal no matter how far I roam in my house and around it.

This was a huge game changer in my house. With all the smart devices our internet was very spotty. Our router is in our basement and when we wanted to watch a movie upstairs or children wanted to game it was a hassle not pulling the signal. Now with orbi we don’t have any issues pulling a signal.

I plugged this in and got much better speed. Paired with the Best Buy App "My Network" feature, I was able to measure my before and after wifi performance, and position the two satellites for optimum signal throughout the house. These were recommended and purchased in the store. Also, very sleek design!

I need to use these to extend my coverage for the use of nest cameras so I had better thru put to capture areas out side the house. I installed the main unit in an extra bedroom near the area I need to cover and then installed a satellite unit in the garage and one out in my shop. It seems to have helped tremendously.

I've set up routers before and this one ranks tops with me. I bought the one with one base and two satellites for a wing of a building. It was easy to set up and works flawlessly. It did take me several tries to place them strategically. After downloading speed test, it was a breeze to figure it out.
