Initially I was very happy to get this mesh as I have basement house. For some reason the speed in the net Orbi app always shows around 200mbps, but my still videos keep buffering. If am spending around 300$ for a router I expect much more.

The jury is still out as to how these will work. Had to take the first set back because Geek Squad said they were defective. Not sure if that was true or if they just didn't set them up correctly. Seem to be working right now.

Great Promise but Extremely poor delivery. Fairly easy setup but shockingly unstable. Spent hours and hours trying to fine tune the configs and re-arranged satellites within my house but to no avail. Continue to suffer with slow performance, connectivity loss (client to Satellite and Satellite to Router) and eventual system freeze. Will take it back to Best Buy tonight.. I have had great experiences using NetGear before but now I completely lost faith on this product.. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH ORBI !!!

This product would be great however, it doesn't cover all the dead spots in my house. And my house is under 2k sq ft. And I think this is supposed to work up to 6k sq ft. It's not the best, however its not the worst either .

I had a very tough time setting this device up. They have you use a phone app which is great for a quick setup, but I found that I needed some more deeper detailed settings and you need to connect to the web page interface. I could not connect. I was on the phone with Netgear support and we reset the router in several different ways. Finally the Netgear rep told me to return the router to the store and get a new one. I returned it and there was no Best Buy rep to help me in the Network department, so I just got my money back instead. Looking now at other brands.

Overall, this product works well; however, I noticed a significant increase in my data usage. So much so that I've received warnings from my ISP (Comcast). At first, I thought it was our new roommate, but it just didn't add up. Finally, I looked around online and other people are stating that their data usage skyrocketed after using these Netgear Orbi routers. Unfortunately, I am outside of the return policy and I am stuck with this router. If my ISP begins to charge me for monthly overages, I will have to have Netgear compensate me or something.

I am not sure if I can return it but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Not sure what is up but we followed the directions and it works sometimes and then all of sudden stop.

I got this for my 2 story and basement condo--total 2,000 squ feet. Could not get them to stay connected. This is a system rated up to 6,000 squ feet. The main router was on 2nd floor...1st sat right below it on first floor--and basement had the other--I moved them all around--worked 2 days with Netgear support. They finally said it would be best to return as this system should be overkill for my house. It does have easy set up---both via app and GUI logon. Maybe I just got a bad one......and I do IT for a living.

Bought based off of Best Buy employees recommendation. Have found myself in the last 2 months having to reset at least 5 times to get the base and two Satellites to work properly

Signal could not connect by cable due to setup. 3rd tech person after 2 weeks finally resolved issue. Signal does not seem better except on TV which is hard wired

In a brand new 2 story home and it wasnt powerful enough. Setup wasn't so easy. Not complicated but not easy. For the price of 349 I was very disappointed.

The mesh is OK for the general household. There are some features as a computer person I would like to see but over all it isn't bad for the price.

System works great for cellphones. Wireless doesn't stay connected to DVR and Security system. Upgraded firmware doesn't support Windows 7.

I love a lot of the features, the satellites and looks. The problem is that the Orbi decides when it wants to turn off and require rebooting.. I don’t mind this occasionally but multiple times daily isn’t cool. Purchased in January 2019 and now that the 90 days is gone Netgear/Orbi wash their hands of the problem.. it feels as like it’s getting worse as the days progress.. Will not buy from Netgear ever again..

Try this device on my 4,000 Sqf, 2 story, when connected to satellites the speed drops down on 60%, and there a big problem switching from 2.4 to 5G, you could be in front of the main router and did not switch to 5G, need to turn off and on the Wifi to switch. Satellites hanging up and crashing the router very often. Replace this one with a Nighthawk X6S router and added a mesh extender, got a lot of better results.

I traded my google WiFi for the netgear Orbi because it was expendablez. It doficnnerts a lot. I am not very pleased with it

It kept updating and needing to be power cycled. Was annoying so took back and went with another brand.

I cannot get help to set up Orbi Netgear . I've been told that I have to pay for Geek Squad membership before they can help me.

I have three of these systems and they work well but I find the set up complicated and the settings not the best.

Not as strong of a signal as I needed. It may work better if you’re in a city environment!
