Easily the best decision I’ve ever made on regards to my internet and WiFi situation. Before ORBI my WiFi signal never even reached my room in my 4 bedroom two level house...after ORBI I get perfect connection, and flawless WiFi with INSANE connection speeds! I game all the time every day as well as my brother downstairs does too and we never have lag or bad latency or any disconnects anymore!! My family all has smart phones and laptops/ smart plugs and the internet always exceeds the expectations. It has an Easy setup with the ORBI app, amazing internet, security, ability to block connections on unwanted devices, internet traffic meters EVERYTHING! The absolute only thing I would say was it was *rather* expensive especially after I bought the 2 year replacement warranty 4 pack (1 router 3 satellites) and it came out to $470. BUTTTT do not let that sway you from buying, you’re paying for absolute quality!! 10/10 product and service! Thank you Orbi!!!

I purchased the Orbi because of poor coverage at my home. I have a 5500 sqft three level home and wanted to get seamless full coverage. The Orbi was easy to install using the app and went with out any problems. I have done some movement of the satellites to maximize the signal strength. I have had the power go out at the house and when it was restored the Orbi came back on line with no problems, my past router would always have issues. So for me the Orbi has worked as advertised with easy install and great coverage that is seamless.

Great WiFi - but tricky with Fios

Once set up, this setup provides excellent coverage throughout my home (2000 sqft) plus about 100 feet from house outside. However, for Fios users it might be tricky. I followed the setup as described in the app, but could not stream anything on the TV’s and the WiFi would cut in and out. Ultimately the solution was to set the Orbi up in Access Point mode, connected to the Fios router with all WiFi on the Fios router turned OFF. That made the orbi my sole WiFi throughout my network. Now everything is working great and averaging 500m and above on all devices (24 devices connected). Excellent solution. No dead spots anywhere.

I replaced a Nighthawk X10 router with the Orbi (3 satellites) a few weeks ago (mainly due to Ethernet port issues with the X10). I have Netgear's cm600 modem. To date, I have not experienced any "drops" or router resets with the Orbi. The network speed is blazing fast (I have Spectrum's 300mbps plan) and am consistently reaching in the high 200's with over 30 connected devices (via wifi). I am very happy with the performance I'm getting from this router.

It gets coverage but constantly drops connection

Bought this at BestBuy to cover the entire house and the coverage is outstanding as it can cover my entire my 5 bedroom house and to about another 150-200 feet beyond outside house. However all my devices keep dropping connections which makes my smart home completely useless as I can't control any devices with with Alexa or printers reliably. Not to mention lost connections while watching video or doing other things on the internet. I end up resorting to connecting to my old Wifi router instead despite its limited house coverage. Very disappointed in a very expensive Mesh system!!! FYI I've updated to the latest firmware with no improvement. I feel like I just bought 4 large paper weights.

Run Away from any system called Orbi by NetGear

Look carefully at all the forums regarding the firmware issues with this unit. The firmware is constantly being doled out because they cannot fix all the bugs THEY introduced. Problems: iOS units drop offl;ine or have slow speeds. Orbi satellites drop off. The router randomly reboots. YOU CAN'T USE A GOOGLE HOME DEVICE WITH THIS SYSTEM! Their tech support told me that a Google "device" and especially the Home unit causes "interference" with the router. There are a host more. THey've had to roll back the firmware multiple times because of all the issues they have. I've now been on hold with "Tier 2" support for an hour. Not actually talking to someone, but ON HOLD!!! Honestly, for the money they want, this is poor service and even poorer merchandise. RUN AWAY!!!

Easy set up. But really wonky to keep it up and running. App constantly asking for my password. Then saying it was the wrong password (over and over again). Wouldn't connect with my TV. At all. App kept saying everything was connected but not to the internet. I'd keep it if it actually was functional.
