I set-up the Netgear Orbi system today. I downloaded the mobile app and it led me through the process. The app worked well and so did the set up. All of our phones, printers, Rokus, PC's, laptops, etc. connected to the system on the first try - a very happy result! I relocated the satellite device a couple of times to test the signal strength at various places in the house and each time I restarted the satellite it reconnected with the base router with no trouble. The app does a great job of monitoring the connected devices and even includes a handy WIFI analyzer tool to test the signal strength at various places in your home - very helpful.

This Orbi system creates such a faster speed for your Internet. This is the 2nd time I have purchased this product and it does not disappoint.

We tried so many different systems when our older Orbi router died. We have Metronet and it doesn’t seem to work well with WiFi 6 yet. We tried two different WiFi 6 systems that were a lot more money than this Orbi, but they constantly would drop WiFi and the user interface was clunky. The Orbi interface is user friendly and I can pause individual devices without having to subscribe to a Circle membership. With this Orbi system we are consistently getting about 850 down and 800 up, with about 60 devices connected. I only wish it had 1 more satellite so we could hardwire all of the PS4 consoles.

My husband and I both work from home and our offices are on exact opposite sides of the house. My husband works downstairs on one side of the house (where our modem/router are), and I had my office setup on the 2nd floor -- completely on the other side in part of the bonus room. We've tried multiple items in the past to sling signal and nothing has worked. The Orbi was incredibly easy to setup -- seriously like 5-7 minutes from start to finish. I personally set it up (and was not sure how that was going to go given our modem/router is in the same box through TimeWarner/Spectrum) -- but it was very easy as it just all hooked to the 1 box. The internet speed through Orbi is WONDERFUL - and its awesome we no longer have to worry about the dead zone. worry about that at all

After years of having tons of issues with the last router I finally broke down and purchased the Nighthawk router and Orbi. IT's been 3 weeks and have not had a single issue. No more dead zones in the house and no more having to constantly reset the router. It handles the mega load of streaming and downloading that my family does on a daily basis.

ORBI RBR50 v2 is installed in a 2500 square foot home with brick walls shielding my Sun Porch which used to get weak signals. The system was very easy to install and set up. All of the devices are getting 150 to 800+ MBPS connections to the main router/ satellite units throughout the house. For example, the iPhones connect at 800+ MBPS. I suspect some of the lower (but still fast) speeds are restricted or dependent on the various individual device capabilities. My ISP connection is currently capped at around 200 MBPS so this system gives me plenty of room for future growth and faster speed by upping the ISP connection. So far so good!

Works as advertised. Was easy to set up and delivers fast enough wifi to the ends of the house where the kids have the xbox and computer running. I no longer have to hear the complaints of fortnite and YouTube lagging. Exceeds my expectations.

I kept reading reviews and researching this mesh before buying and I was very torn. What it came down to for me was the sqft coverage, the triband for wireless backhaul that allows for equally strong signals throughout the home, and the speed capabilities. It also has multiple possible wired connections per device. So far I can't complain about the speeds. No problems at all and I don't regret the purchase. However, the combined SSID with no choice to pick 2.4 or 5hz really makes for an annoying time trying to connect smart devices. There are a few workarounds that are not too difficult though. Overall I'd recommend this as a great option until wifi 6 is adopted a lot more.

I like the system seems fast. I wish QOS functions were there and parental controls were better but it definately expanded my range and setup was easy. The recent drivers made the satellite disappear had to roll it back to fix it. Overall it's a good system tho

I could not be happier with this purchase. We went from a Nighthawk 1900 with 1 range extender to the Orbi tri band, and the difference is night and day. I have CL internet service with 100mbps and with our old router any device that was not hard wired would get speeds of 10-16 mbps, and we had little to no reception on the patio. With the Orbi Mesh wifi I see wifi speeds of 50+ mbps all over my house and I even get those speeds all over my back yard. Not only that, but the wifi is a lot more stable with less drops than before. Mesh is definitely the way to go, and I think the benefits of the tri-band Orbi are well worth the extra $$$.

With both my wife and I working at home and her at the back of the house, the old ac router wasn't cutting it. Now able to get 200mbs speeds at the far end of the house with the satellite. Setup was straightforward assuming a typical setup. I'm running a powerline adapter off it as well with no issues. Only catch was the ps4 but with little searching got it figured out. Was worried about the wifi printer that only works on 2.4 but since the orbi runs both channels it sets things on the right channel without having two ssid like before. Researched the cheaper two channel systems but went with the three channel for the back haul and glad we did.

Unbelievable range, Fairly easy to set up. Before we would do a speed test from the far end of our home and only get 1-2 mb/s. Now we are getting over 45-50 mb/s (our plan only offers up to 50mb/s) in the same area of the house.

Great Product! Easy to set-up and use! High speed and great coverage of a large multi-level house. Very good phone app as well. The only negative is the price tag.

I am very impressed with this product. The price was a bit of a concern at first but I'm glad I took the leap. We "cut the cord" about six months ago and I've been on a mission ever since to make the Internet experience and connectivity within my home as good as it could be. This new mesh network system did the trick. I probably went a bit overkill with this particular model needing to only cover about 2500 sqft of home. However, when I started to see full range bars outside as I went around my yard I realized my move was smarter than anticipated. I can stream music on my iPhone while washing the car on the driveway without any hiccups. Needless to say, the Apple TV and Amazon Fire TVs/sticks throughout the home see full range bars and run accordingly (well).

I dont have a huge house but it is a 1960's split so 3 levels means dead spots. This system although expensive has solved all of my problems. Both kids in corner rooms have full wifi signal and the same speeds as the unit right next to the modem. If you are tired of trying cheaper options that didnt work spend this money. You won't regret it.

I bought this router because the router that was supplied by my cable co. was just not cutting it. I had also recently purchased a couple of Ring floodlight cams which was not getting good signal strength with my old router. But the difference was night and day with the Orbi. You just have to move the satellite around to find that sweet spot.

These are awesome, I have one near my Modem and the other one in my bedroom. They never loose signal and I've had no issues with them

I had just upgraded to some fast internet service and started using the system with the modem with an internal router. Had many dead spots and conflicts when 3 or more devices when connected at one time. Installed the Orbi and ALL problems went away. Had 3 computers, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones all using the Orbi and no reduction in connection speed.

The positives: installs somewhat easily, works very well (it solved all the problems with Wi-Fi coverage in my house) The negatives: the default configuration interferes with Bluetooth (you would think they would design Orbi not to conflict by default since so many people use Bluetooth - I had to contact Netgear Support to get a configuration that eliminates this conflict), the iOS app could be better (Netgear disabled the Speed Test feature in the app without telling anyone - I had to contact Netgear Support to find that out. And to access Support, the app directs you to the Netgear web site - which is a bit confusing. The app should have better integration with Support or the Community Forum) Bottom line: I’m giving this a product rating of 4 (which would have been a 5 if the setup had been a bit smoother and the app a bit better).

Struggled getting wifi to different areas in the house for a while but no longer a issue with the Orbi. No lag or disconnection issues anymore
