Whole home picks up WiFi now. Strong signal and easy setup

Easy to setup. 2500 sq ft home gets our cable speed everywhere. WiFi is as fast as on ethernet cable.ethernet

The Orbi system was a breeze to setup. Overall performance is top of class. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I’m still having issues with a wireless speaker and I haven’t ruled out the Orbi. More than likely it’s close proximity neighbors who turn their router/access point off when they turn their computer off cause channels to constantly shift and interfere.

I have Verizon's triple play so I'm forced to use their hardware to keep all of my TV's channel guide features. As a result, for the first 6 months I settled for their wireless router/modem. Needless to say, the signal strength was terrible and my internet service was seemingly lacking. After doing my homework on mesh router systems, I oped for the Orbi system. It took a while to set it up in AP mode where it essentially sits "on top" of my Verizon router (you need a computer with an RJ45 port for a hardwire internet connection), but once I was done the difference was AMAZING. My upload and download speeds improved 20x over. And the signal strength in my 4000 sq. ft. house is phenominal. Highly recommended.

I have 2 entertainment rooms, and this product is perfect! the main router and the satellite have great range. Both pieces have ports that can hard-wire in for gear that may need a direct connection. I have done random condition checks of connectivity and it has a consistent top-notch performance. The interface is easy and user friendly. The app can connect remotely and is also convenient to see track devices and connectivity when you are away. The standard guest mode is easy to turn on and off. It also has parental controls that are easy to access and adjust. Internet is the gravity of my two entertainment rooms. This product is exactly what I needed for my household.

I've been struggling with WiFi in my house for 4 years. I've bought every 399.99 router out there to try and fix it. I've traditionally been a Linksys/Cisco guy and was about to pull the trigger on the Linksys Mesh system until I found a few comparison sites. They said the Orbi was a better solution and boy were they right! This system uses a dedicated channel to communicate between the two different devices (the Hub and the Sattelite) and the rest are for connected devices. I can now go anywhere in my home and have full wireless strength. My Roku doesn't skip anymore, none of the kids are complaining, and most importantly my wife isn't upset about bad service anymore! I can't recommend this anymore, super easy to setup and ultimately use.

Easy set up and great signal throughout my whole home.

We have a 4,000 sq ft ranch and my cable modem and router are on the far side of the house. I was using a LinkSys router and a TP-Link extender and was getting fair service at best in the family room and kitchen. On the advise of my IT person at work, he explained to me about mesh WiFi and how the 2 LinkSys and TP-Link extender were fighting and I needed a mesh system. I looked at the 4 major ones available (Google, Netgear, LinkSys and Eero). Even though the Orbi was not first, and some didn't like the size of the units, and it wasn't a "true" mesh setup, it was the most powerful signal and coverage unit. I am not a gamer and I didn't need all of the available tweakability that the LinkSys system offered, and the Orbi AC3000 was less expensive than the LinkSys Velop. So I purchased the Orbi. Took it home, and it installed like a charm! I downloaded the instructions from the app onto my phone, and the entire process, from opening the box until a functioning WiFi system was less than 30 minutes! I have significant WiFi signal in every corner of my house, and I am extremely pleased with the Orbi. I would highly recommend this unit.

Great performance for two story home. Strong signal.

I got this from my parents house which is large enough that a typical router was not covering most of the house. For them I didn’t want to deal with extenders and I thought a mesh system would work best. Set up was a breeze and they no longer have any coverage issues in the house and their speed has increased from the old router. I also like how there’s just one network name and the system changes frequency automatically in the fly. I also really liked how the satellite has connections for wired devices for those items you want a more stable connection and it would only use the back channel for data. I would recommend to anybody needing a lot of coverage.

The NETGEAR Orbi AC3000 significantly improved the WiFi coverage and speed! I didn't know what I was missing. Three separate TVs can stream separately on my network. Truly amazing. Easy to set up.

We didn’t have that great of Wi-Fi in the home and the signal seem to be weak using the typical cable router. Did some research in mesh Systems and took the advice of an in-store Best Buy representative. Signal strength is now very good and I’m able to stream TV upstairs and in the basement with the pair I Purchased. We have about a 2400 square-foot home and we get an excellent single in both the front and back yards as well. Definitely 1000% improvement. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that I did have two incidents where I needed to reset the Orbi and the modem. Other than that I would definitely recommend this product especially if you’re going to replace the cable router. It’s a no brainer.

The NETGEAR - Orbi AC3000 Tri-Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System was a great purchase for me. I switched from an older wifi router that had poor coverage, connectivity issues and throughput issues. Best Buy matched the best price available when purchased. Two weeks later BB had an even better price and matched it. This whole home router has provided great coverage throughout the house, great connectivity and reliability, and my throughput is great now. Install was straight forward and easy. An extra on this whole home network is the private back channel that allows for no drop in throughput when you have two routers where as competitors drop throughput by half when you add a second device....nice.

I've been using these to make my home a smart home and over a year I have not seen any problems with my internet! I have so many devices plugged into my wifi and nothing seems to be slowing down! These Orbi's do one heck of a job. It's also cool that we're allowed to see which devices are using the wifi. You have the option to give access to certain devices or not. you can give them a certain time limit. There's so many things you can do with this that I had no idea we could do. I highly recommend this product especially if you're a parent. I'm not a parent yet, but I know this will help me with my kiddos.

Slightly older but still robust mesh system where my wifi demands are pretty typical (occasional online gaming, content streaming, home security, etc). Great value to extend existing system until upgrade to a Netgear Wifi 6 system. Ongoing firmware updates have improved performance/stability over time. Rarely needs resets (dragginess seems related to adding new devices), sometimes firmware updates have to be done manually.

I had a router and a WiFi extender to cover most of my house. WiFi was spotty, at best. Went with the Orbi AC3000 after a recommendation from my IT guy. A snap to setup! A great App to control. GREAT coverage ina 4,000 sq ft ranch, with great coverage throughout the house, including the basement! Highly recommend!

I was very hesitant about shelling out the $ for the Orbi but I needed a solution to getting a strong signal throughout my home. Frankly I was so tired of trying to figure out the best solution, researching different products, not really understanding what I needed. I went to purchase a different product and the sales clerk came to my rescue. She was not pushy but explained several of the extenders - pros and cons. The Orbi seemed to cover everything I needed. This is probably the best technological product I have purchased. The set-up was SUPER simple - even for a tech-challenged person! The coverage has far exceeded my expectations and the big plus is my husband can now use his system in his garage office.

it has good coverage and excellent speed. It can easily accommodate the 400 mbps+ by my ISP. Setup is easy, and it does not have any lights when everything is working, so no blinking at night...
