Very good coverage fast with multiple divices no slow down

Gave me 5x the speed of my cable provider router. Set up in minutes. The satellite for upstairs works wonderfully too.

Before I had gaps in wifi coverage in my home and especially on the 2nd floor. With the Netgear ORBI AC3000, I not only don't have any gaps in coverage but I have the same speed upstairs as downstairs. I now have over 100MB/S everywhere in my home.

I am currently using my Orbi in a 4050 square foot house. Previously I used a traditional router that, when purchased 5 years ago, was one of the best routers available. Within the past year I noticed that wifi coverage, particularly on the other side of the home, was spotty or not existent. An upgrade to newer technology became a must. I purchased this system after reading several good professional reviews online and at the recommendation of the Best Buy technician. After installation a month ago, I can say that my wifi coverage issues are resolved and the speeds are much improved. The only downside is the price as it is much more than most routers.

I purchased This Wi-Fi system to increase my coverage within my house. Not only am I able to get full range coverage throughout my home, but it also extends to the furthest reaches of my backyard. This was a great purchase and I am very happy.

The Wifi capabilities on this system are excellent and the speeds are, in my experience, very fast. Setup is pretty straight forward and pairing the satellite with the main router is about as simple as it gets. The only issue that I ran into is that the satellite would not do the firmware automatically. You have to do a workaround by downloading the satellite firmware to your computer and then manually uploading it to the satellite. Hence the setup isn't quite as simple as it could be, but if you are even modestly computer savvy it shouldn't be a problem. Still its the kind of thing that shouldn't be necessary hence the 4 star review rather than 5.

This is one of the easier to set up routers I've had and it took me less than 15 minutes to be completely up and running. I have a split-level home and was having major problems getting my internet in the opposite corner of my house so this design was perfect for me. I have not had an issue since setting it up. We don't have cable so we all stream everything and things are running smoothly. I have 2 children so between the tablets, phones, and TVs we needed something powerful. This is getting the job done. And its aesthetically pleasing as well for a router.

Very easy to set up. Covers 4000 sq 2 story home with ease. Performance is excellent up time is excellent. Lots of nice features for advanced users.

I love this system! My internet downstairs had been too slow to reliably power my AppleTV, smart TV, Playstation 4 and other devices. Problem solved! I had tried other devices like repeaters and even apple airport products downstairs to try and solve the problem and those did not work. Now the downstairs part of my 2600 sq foot home gets internet speeds nearly as strong as upstairs where my main router is - 100MBPS most places. I set it up using the SSID of my old Apple Time Capsule router so I did not have to change any devices (we have over 30). I like the wired ports on the satellite that let me plug in devices that have to use wired ethernet - I have one for work and it works great. I can even now look at the system and administer from any web browser and I am impressed with the powerful features offered if I want to make adjustments later on. Only small hiccup for me was the setup. Should be super easy for most, but for me the required firmware update went awry for some reason, and I had to get help from tech support. The tech who helped me was very patient and logical in the approach. The automated firmware update failed and he walked me through the manual update and documented his learnings. Despite this initial speed bump, I could not be more pleased. I looked at the two competing solutions (eero and luna) but they cost more, did not offer the wired ports on the satellite, had less advanced administration features, and most importantly did not match speed because this product uses a separate radio frequency to link the base to satellite vs others using the wifi frequencies and thus decreasing bandwidth. I could not be more pleased. Over the years I spent way more trying solutions that did not work, and I finally have one that does!

I've been using since 2017. I did buy a second sat for basement. I would loose connection due to brick wall. Router on ground floor with TV hardwired for streaming. Speed at router 235 Mbps wired. Speed in basement 235. Satellite upstairs also 235. Coverage is good. I get a weak single on front porch but signal is going through about 3 walls, 2400 sq foot home with 900 sq ft basement. Out back, one wall penetration, great signal. Just did firmware update and helping a friend pick out a mesh system.

We pay for high speed internet but were not getting fast WiFi through our previous router. With this system, my WiFi is as fast as Ethernet connection. Best money I’ve spent in a while. Very easy set up as well. I was able to follow the directions myself and was up and running in under 15 minutes. With 2 adults and 2 college students all working from home online, this made it possible for all of us to work simultaneously without dropped connections or slow down.

First, it works VERY well and was easy to set up. It has a really nice look for the house. The NIghthawk looked other worldly but this is deisgner level and unlike the Nighthawk, will not be a dust catcher. The satellite unit also has ethernet and USB so it increases the usefulness of the set-up.. Speed is great. I have a multi-level home and this has eliminated dead spots and made the upstairs internet on par with the rest of the house. If they can add satellites as promised, then everyone can have whole house internet, regardless. Pricey but for me, absolutely worth it.

Bought these when I upgraded to AT&T gigabit fiber internet to try to take full advantage of the high bandwidth. Setup with the orbi app was easy and took about 10 minutes. I placed the satellite unit in different areas of the house and did speed tests to see which spot gave me the best overall speed upstairs and down. I found the speed upstairs was greater when the satellite was placed downstairs directly below the rooms I was testing in which still gave me great coverage at the far end of the house downstairs. I have lots of smart devices, and the router definitely improved the quality of the service those devices performed (e.g. ring doorbell live view was faster, etc.). I've been getting around 360-425 mb/s on WIFI pretty much throughout the house on most devices. The only issue I had may have been due to my configuration and general lack of deep knowledge, but when I set up my gigabit AT&T router to do an ip pass-thru to the orbi, I kept seeing FALSE Denial of Service (DOS) attacks in the orbi router logs and my zoom sessions would lock up momentarily while directly connected to the router. When I contacted support, their solution was to call AT&T and get them to issue a new IP number, or turn off the DOS logging. I'd read of others having this issue and they say it's a bug in the orbi firmware, but I don't know enough to be sure. Their support asked for all kinds of configuration information and it appeared they didn't even look at any of it based on the responses I received. The resolution was to reset the AT&T and Orbi routers and remove the pass-thru configuration and put the orbi behind the AT&T router. Once I did that, everything worked fine.

This is the best router I've ever owned, hands down. We upgraded to gigabit internet speeds and this system handles it flawlessly. I didn't realize how slow my internet really was before until I installed this. Rarely do we get a dropout and our three floor house is covered in max speed with the main unit in the living room and the satellite in our upstairs office. I'll never rent one of the cable company's routers again.

This device was easy to install using the ap. I purposely bought this unit that exceeded the square footage of coverage needed so that I would have a third unit to attach a cat-5 cable to. This helps if you have any remote devices that are’t Wireless and require a cable attached to be effective. The cost of the third unit versus the box of two was minimal to get this feature and even more coverage. My download is now 260mps to handle the 22 devices that are wireless or directly connected.

Best router I have ever owned. Easy set up, and easy connection to devices. Also the range is exceptional. I no longer have dead spots in my house.

The two piece system was a cinch to setup. Connected the primary router to our cable modem, scanned the QR code with their app, and was up an running in a matter of minutes. Having the satellite means we can have great WiFi coverage on our main floor and second floor of our house as well as covering a good portion of our yard. No issues streaming movies, downloading large files, or having multiple devices connected. Over the holidays we had dozens of people over and our system never skipped a beat.

I just bought this and set it up tonight, so I’m far from having enough information for a detailed review, but so far the results are nothing short of amazing. Consistent speeds throughout the house (2 story, 3,000 sq ft), and FAST–finally getting the 100Mbps I’m paying for. My old router (a Netgear Nighthawk) would sometimes bog down to 1Mbps, and would usually hover around 15-20Mbps. Since setting up the Orbi, I’ve gotten 127-130 on multiple devices throughout the house. Set up was easy too, if a little slow. Highly recommend.

I was struggling with a very weak and inconsistent signal from my wireless router until I got the NETGEAR - Orbi AC3000 I went from 4 to 7 Mbs to 150 Mbs same service. This is a great product if you have any challenges with the signal.
