Mesh networking is the only way to go for larger spaces. Great product to deliver this with easy setup.

It is still early but after havig wifi strength issues and varying internet speeds I decided to get this router. The tri-band allows the satillite to run your wifi network without drawing bandwidth from your network. I have a single network with awesome signal strength all over my house. I did need to get a ethernet switch to hook up many of my wired devices as this router has only 3 wired ports. A cheap addition that was not expected but not a real pain. So far ease of set up, reduction of multiple wifi networks has made this a good purchase to date.

Bought the Orib 2-pack to improve signal reach in my house. The installation was a snap - probably took 30 minutes, and it has been working great ever since. One minor improvement - give more functional information to the mobile app.

I bought this router because I had trouble getting good WiFi signal to my downstairs because my router was located upstairs. I now have perfect signal everywhere in my 2500sq ft house. It also connects easily to my outdoor cameras.

I am a professional network engineer. I bought this to cover a 3000 Sq.ft. house. Performance is very spotty and fluctuates wildly. I have included a picture of a speediest on an iPhone X (802.11ac) and the wired speediest which I ran immediately following the speediest. The wifi was delivering 12 Mbps with a 120 Mbps connection. I have an Eero net as well and it is performing much better than this ORBI system I called and spoke to Level 2 tech support at Netgear who acknowledged the problem and started working with me. Now they simply dropped the case. If I do not hear back soon, I will end up returning the product.

Easy set up and getting multiple devices to work on network. Much faster than old router with much greater range inside and outside the house.

Replaced an apple air port and could not be happier. I have a two story home and struggled to get coverage in the master bedroom. After a simple set up I no have no dead zones in the house. I even have full access in the basement that I have been accustomed to not even trying. The app that runs the system is simple and very affective. Have not set up the parental security as I trust no aspect of tech companies especially alphabet if they have any access to the system!

We have had problems getting a strong WiFi signal in our 3 story home, but this thing works like a charm, blasting a strong signal on every floor. Easy set-up and easy to move to get extra coverage outside (where we spend a lot of time). It's expensive, but worth it, if you need continuous coverage throughout your entire house (I need it for my phone, which has a weak cell signal where we live, so I use voice over internet phone all the time at the house). Only had it for a month so far, but if it lasts, this will be totally worth it.

I’ve used 3 of these sets and all of the people I’ve installed them for are happy with them. The throughput on the 2nd mesh access point is still good (the same as the main access point / router. Signal strength for the set is good.

I like the ease of set-up and having the expanding relay. Base has 3 ethernet outlets for hardwire needs. I get strong signal coverage both up and downstairs- plus outdoors. Satellite relay is easy to hide or looks good exposed.

No dead spots. Speeds exceed anything I was able to attain with Lynksys or Google WiFi. Orbi blows their speed out of the water (several videos/tests online that can validate.) lastly, I have zero dropped signal and have not had to restart the system even once in the 6 months I’ve owned it. Absolutely fantastic! In case you’re wondering, I have a 2300sq ft single story. Two Orbis did the trick for me, although I’m considering getting a 3rd to boost my garage and signal in my yard so I can stream music when doing yard work.

This is amazing. All through my house i get 103 down and 109 up with a 100/100 fios account. Setup was easy. All dead spots are now full speed

I didn’t realize that my older Linksys E3000 was preventing access to my full 300Mbps from Cox. I was only locking 24/32 downstream channels. Once I connected my new Netgear Orbi AC3000 it unlocked all 32 channels and I’m getting better than 300 Mbps download speeds. I’m also getting full speeds throughout the house compared to only about 5Mbps at the opposite end of the house. The best part is Bestbuy matched prices and I was able to get it (RBK50 which includes the router and 1 satellite) for $299.99.

Had a lot of trouble with my last nighthawk router but finally decided on the Orbi since the reviews were so positive. I am blown away at the performance, it covers my entire house and then some and all devices are working very very fast, I have over 100 connected devices by Wi-Fi and this is by far the best I’ve ever used! Got the AC3000 router with 1 satellite, couldn’t be happier!

I don’t have a giant house, but t’s around 3,600 SQFT. I have been rocking a 2014 Apple AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express in my home for some time as I always loved the ease of using the AirPort app on my iPad and the speed sounds super fast When you think of AC technology. During Christmas 2017, I had many family members staying at my house and my sister kept complaining that the internet was way slow and kept crashing while trying to remote in to her works VPN. Funny as I have 300 MB service and an AC Router from Apple. One night that week I looked at all the devices connected through the AirPort app and was floored by the speeds I was getting. The fastest connection I was getting was 175 MB while my smart TV was getting 30 MB. WOW! This is just horrible. I always thought I had the fastest internet. I wanted a solution for faster coverage, but didn’t want something that needed multiple wi-if name/networks or a 2.4GHZ and 5 GHZ different network. Did a ton of research and discovered this NETGEAR “Mesh” style system and had great reviews, but most important to me, had a “Sattilite” router (this is the extender router in the kit) with LAN RJ-45 hardwired connections. Install was super simple and was all done through an iPhone app. After about 30-45 minutes I was done. Went around to all the family members devices and changed their Wi-Fi network connections to the new one... and no more crashing/slow service. Devices such as iPad, iMac, Kindel Fires are all now getting 500-700 MB per second. So for the past 3 years I have been paying for super fast internet speeds and only using half. This is a must buy router with easy setup. It does lack the crazy complex setting as found in traditional routers such as Linksys, but for 90% of internet users, it’s perfect. I love walking around the house and even outside with no signal loss. The garage is the only place I stil have signal issues. I could improve by adding another Orbi AC3000 extender. Must buy! I did find a much better deal from a competing online store, but Bust Buy being amazing, had the price matched.

I bought this WIFI system after a Cable person cometo my house to realize the problem was the old Netgear WiFi system. After the recommendation, I bought the Orbi Sytem. The Main Piece is good the entire house and I use te satellite near the bbq place. Now, my internet is really fast, with maximum speed, and I can get the signal at the further place of my 11.000 sf property. I'm very happy and connect!! Excellent equipment!

We struggled after moving into our new house with getting Wifi to our bedroom which was on the opposite room as the router. A geek squad member suggested to not use an extender but go with the router plus satellite and he was 100% spot.on. when we set this up in our home it was a game changer. The connection on our upper floor is now like we are sitting next to the router. Great purchase...

This was key to my ability to cut the cord and set up my smart home system. It blanketed the entire house in WiFi (covering previous dead spots) and increased speeds all over. Much better than an extender or repeater since it brings together 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks into one network ID and automatically optimizes the "faster" connection (so I can get faster 5ghz where it makes sense without having to choose). Placement of the devices is key - you may need to try a few spots just like an extender or repeater.
