I had Airport Extremes setup with wired backhaul in my home. I was constantly having issues with my apple TVs (mirroring would just stop, numbers behind the Apple TV names). Coverage in certain parts of the house was weak, and I would often have streaming issues in my bedroom. I replaced them all with on Orbi and wow what a difference! I have FULL coverage across my 2500 sq. ft home and my Apple TV issues have disappeared. The Orbi creates a nice seamless network with incredible coverage. Highly recommended!

Outstanding coverage for a dual band mesh system. You can easily cover 3K square feet without signal interruptions/dropouts. Guest Wi-Fi is a big plus, parental controls are useful and the monitoring of devices on your system is peace of mind. Couple this with Armor/ Bit Defender optional subscription after 30 day free trail offer not too much you can ask for.

This router is awesome. It blankets your home with high speed wi-fi. Easy to setup and performs as advertised.

Performance is a vast improvement over my older Asus router. I'm getting my full external Internet speeds everywhere in the house. Interface lacks some features.... For instance WPA3 is two years old and I bought this less than a week ago 2/7/2020 and it is still shipping with WPA2, which is less secure. I've already updated firmware. Come on Netgear... That's just laziness / lack of investment.

This is a great product!! Now I must say that it did not make my wifi any faster but what it did do is it made my WiFi connections more stable and consistent which in a sense DID make my WiFi faster. Every device connected to our home network gets a strong connection no matter where they are in the house. If you have weak spots in your home network ORBI WILL FIX IT. I have the modem downstairs and a satellite upstairs and that is all I needed!! Great product! Worth every penny!!

Easy to install and connect to. Greatly improved the wifi coverage in my home. I should have purchased much sooner than I did.

I love it. Easy setup. I had to reset it once but other than that no problems. Pretty good coverage.

My modem is in my basement. Although I had decent WiFi coverage through most of my house, I had no coverage on my deck or out by my pool area where we spend a lot of time in the warmer weather. I installed the Orbi in about 15 minutes. I put the satellite unit on my second floor and immediately got a very strong connection with the base unit in the basement. I now have strong WiFi coverage not only in all areas of my house, but also my entire back yard area. So far, I am very happy with this product.

Great coverage for my home with a finished basement and two floors above. Located base centrally in the basement and the satellite by my home entertainment system. Great coverage throughout. Ethernet ports on both the base and satellite make for excellent connections and saves for wifi coverage for connected Arlo, WeMo, and many Google Home and Chromecast devices. As advertised and worth the extra cost for the coverage and flexibility.

Overall Orbi gives great coverage at strong speeds... There are a few areas that I don't expect the speed to go down, but overall is a great solution.

I wanted to give the router 4.5 stars but its performance brought my score to 5 stars. Setup - I used my iPad Pro to do the initial setup, it walked me through the steps but was unable to connect to the Internet, to frustrate matters, the box only contains a quick start guide. I was able to change the network name and password as well as update the firmware but no Internet connection. I finally gave up and called Netgear, after holding for about 20 minutes a very knowledgeable Netgear person answered. She had me go to my Asus laptop and from there I was able to login to the admin and change a setting to correct the problem. One annoying thing she said is that I could find all the info at www.netgear, which I had to inform her that my Internet was down. Once Setup - The router does all that was promised, I was a little worried reading some of the reviews here but I needed the 3 ethernet ports. The main router is in the basement of a ranch style home and the satellite is on the main floor about 50-55 feet away. I expected a 30-50% drop in speed from the satellite when I started my speed test using both my iPad and laptop. I was caught off guard as there is little or no speed degradation between the main router and satellite. I pay for 400mps from Xfinity and had been using the 6th gen Airport Extreme with an extender to be able to run everything. I was getting between 50 and 100mps. With the Orbi I am getting between 300 and 400mps even from the satellite. Overall - I've only had the router a few days, but we no longer have devices drop off the network and everything has been seamless running our devices, Ring doorbell, and security devices without any blips. It also got rid of the annoying 5gz network and we only have one network once again.

Using the app to set this up was the wrong choice Doing it from a computer first would have saved hours of frustration. The app from our devices just wasn't giving accurate information. Using web site worked perfect. Read instructions about software updates or deal with factory reset and phone calls to get it sorted. After those issues the system has worked exactly as hoped and the units blend into the background so far glad we got them.

Awesome in an old two-story house. Best coverage I’ve ever had and super easy to set up. Up and running in 20 minutes.
