The range is great, it covers the entire house, backyard & driveway. Easy to set up & very nice looking router.

I purchased the NETGEAR - Orbi AC3000 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (2-pack) for my 1,200+ square-foot split-level home. My IP provides 60 mbps download speeds to my DSL phone port. The Orbi "ROUTER" was installed near a port in the lower level of my house, near one end of it. The "SATTELITE" was installed in the upper level near the opposite end of the house. The Orbi has not only eliminated "dead" and "slow" spots in my house, but also provides adequate coverage in my garage, driveway and front and backyards. I consistently measure 55-57 mbps throughout my WIFI use area. Unless you are knowledgeable about installation of mesh WIFI systems, I recommend using Best Buy's Geek Squad service for installation. After reading many reviews of this product before purchasing it, It appears to me that many of the complaints by other reviewers about the Orbi AC3000 may have been caused by faulty or incomplete installations that were done by the reviewers themselves. Although NETGEAR's instructions are clear, they do not take into account all factors affection WIFI networks. Geek Squad agent (Kent) that I dealt with checked everything out, so I am getting the WIFI service that I have been expecting.

Unfortunately the base firmware has some known issues that make communication between the router and satellite hard to re-establish if broken. I spent hours performing factory resets, attempting firmware upgrades, and reviewing status lights along with their meanings so I could troubleshoot connectivity issues. Eventually I had to RMA the device and recently received another defective router that lasted less than a day before it stopped working. I've contacted my assigned support rep (Dbahuleyan) but have not heard back since 6/23/19 (today is 7/11/19). I've had the device less than 1 year and purchased at Best Buy in person. As it stands I would not recommend anyone purchase this device because if you need help you will have to air out Netgear on the internet before someone will contact you back. Very disappointed that Netgear support is so bad and the firmware is so problematic. My netgear case is 41371579.

My Ring doorbell was slow in responding. My router is on the opposite end of my large home, but I had several extenders, so I was blaming the problem on the doorbell. After much research, I chose the Netgear Orbi Mesh System and my doorbells function the way they should. An added benefit is the app that shows Internet Speeds, send notifications when there are security threats and the Parental Controls.

I was in need of an extender for my current router...kind of like a repeater. I found out that the new thing is mesh system. It was more than I was wanting to spend but it was so easy to set up and does an excellent job of giving us a wider range for our upstairs loft that used to be spotty at best. Very happy and would buy again.

As a gamer this router definitely performs. I see low ping and no interruptions whatsoever. Just bought this for my 2000 square foot apartment and I have high speed internet in every nook and bedroom of the apartment. I even have the main router (not the satellite) in a closet behind closed doors and is still able to connect seamlessly to the satellite which drives most of my video game devices.

This is the router to own if you are looking for reliability in speed and coverage for a multi-device household.

These give really good coverage in ~3000 sq ft house. Setup is extremely easy, nice mobile app to manage it as well.

Product seemed to work as advertised. Have a satellite in my basement living room. In my basement bedroom my phone lost a bar which was a little disappointing. Overall seems to work good.

Researched a lot of mesh or similar type systems and went with this one due to dedicated backhaul band. Very good coverage in my two story house, solved streaming issues I was having with upstairs smart tv's being located so far away from the frontier fios mi424wr rev I routers located where the coax line comes in downstairs. Did have to set up the fiios router as a moca bridge to work with the orbi but there are write ups on how to do that available.

A very helpful Best Buy employee, Emma, steered my husband and I toward Orbi when we were looking to replace our old router. I didn't realize how slow our old router was until we hooked up Orbi. It's more expensive than some of the other routers we considered, but it's worth it. Setup was simple, it works great streaming movies and for online gaming (even at the same time), and the signal reaches much farther than our old router. I'd definitely buy Orbi again.

I had just about given up on having good wifi coverage through my house when I visited my local best buy to look for another router. The sales rep showed me the orbi and I was pretty shocked at the price but I'll tell you I get every bit of speed I pay for and any where in my house with this router. The price may be too steep for most but it's just as crazy to pay for an Internet speed you aren't getting. If you have a larger house this router is a good buy
