Say goodbye to dead spots 3900 sqft home signal stays strong speed stays constant

We have Optimum internet service, and all our devices would constantly disconnect. Surprise! It was the router supplied by Optimum! And, we had to use range extenders, meaning we were constantly changing wifi IDs. When we replaced that router with our two Orbis (one set), it was life changing! We now have only one wifi name throughout our house, and strong signal throughout the property. We love our Orbi!!!

This router was pretty easy to set up and has made a big difference in our internet speed.

Replaced my old router & an extender with this system and noticed an improvement immediately. I no longer have to manually switch between the router and extender as I move through the house, it switches automatically. Signal strength is now great throughout my house and in the yard. Setup instructions were clear and easy to follow. Worth the price.

Haven’t had any problems with my Wi-Fi since getting these. Streaming is good everywhere now!

Bought the Orbi RBR50 to replace our aging Apple Time Capsule / AirPort WiFi router. Over the past couple of years the number of clients in our home has increased significantly as I’ve added smart devices everywhere, and even though I had added a range extender I was suffering from frequent drop-outs and disconnections from switches and devices around the home. I decided that a mesh network was going to be the best solution and after some deep research I landed on the Orbi RBR50 as being the right router for our 3,500 sq ft 3 level house. Installation was a breeze - all guided through the App (iPhone in my case). The router(s) found all my devices and automatically connected to them - and the ability to identify each one through the app and give them all my own descriptions makes it easy to see which devices are connected to which part of the network (main router or satellite). I particularly like that the Orbi is smart enough to identify if a device is capable of operating on the 5g band and if so it will automatically connect to this. I also re-used my Apple Time Capsule as a backup-only unit by connecting it directly to the Satellite Orbi unit which gives me both some additional security by having a physical backup unit in a different room as the computers as well as a fall-back router if anything should happen to my main Orbi system.

The Orbi set up was easy and painless. My devices connected without any problems. It worked great for a week and then I was getting dropped connections. I did a reset of the system and everything has been working good since. It’s nice only having one router name. I use to have three different ones. The router and satellite blend with the homes decor much better than the old router and extenders. I would have given 5 stars if I didn’t have to do the reset.

Good system. They prevent the issue I had, which was dead spots in some rooms. One thing to be aware of; you cannot connect an external drive directly to the usb port to access files over your network.

Being some what technically challenged, we were still able to get it set up easily. Our internet is Comcast and we have good coverage throughout the house with good speed.

I have to say this is by far the best router I've ever owned. I have a 2500 sq ft house and after placing the routers at opposite ends of the home (52 feet apart) I now have coverage in my entire home and about 50-60 feet around the outside of the entire house. I had a download speed of about 45-55 Mbps before the Orbi. My latest speed test with about 15 devices streaming at the same time resulted in a bit over 105 Mbps.

Great if youre hardwired but if youre far from the home base router, sometimes the connection drops. I have the app and it says the router upstairs has good connection but it really doesnt. Ive tried moving it and nothing. Also all the devices connect to main router and theres no way to move devices around

I live in a large home and my internet was at best spotty in different sections of the house. A real hassle. I tried every router out and had no luck until the Orbi. I have three of them. One next to modem and one next to my desktop which is a floor below and not hardwired to the modem. One on the other side of my home near large tv and my internet flies. One of the best investments I have ever made.

The Orbi setup was very easy. Great coverage inside the house and the pool/patio area.

We set this up throughout our 3000sf house and we consistently got top notch speeds wherever we were. No more spotty wireless when we are “far” from our modem and router.

Love my mesh network and was a significant improvement in speed and reliability from my prior legacy Apple Time Capsule. Consistent WiFi throughout my house despite the base unit nestled in one corner of the lower level underground and the satellite unit located in the center of my 2100 SF upper level. Am very pleased with our unit and the service it supplies. Would not hesitate to buy again.
