Man I love this system and have internet throughout the whole house now! Easy to set up and looks great too. App is good and easy to use and you can see how is on. Wish you can pick which band each item can use and prioritize which items to push too. But haven had a problem with connectivity anymore.

Netgear's solution to the wireless mesh network is outstanding. It has definitely improved my wireless signal strength and quality over the entire house. There are still some areas that have less than full coverage (I have about 4000 sqft house), but overall it has worked great. The signal strength just outside of our house (e.g. backyard patio, front yard) has increased tremendously.

We recently cut cable TV and started using Roku. I did not want to have to run ethernet cables throughout my home. This Orbi Mesh system was a life saver! I have internet throughout my home now. It was very easy to hook up. My only complaint is that they are bigger than expected. I don't really care as long as they perform.

We finished our attic into a third floor and the old router didn’t do the job. I compared the specs of the various mesh routers and decided on this one. It was easy to install and there are no more dead spots in the Wi-Fi. It’s also easy to restrict Wi-Fi usage or turn off access to specific devices, much to the dismay of the 12 year old!

I have my modem and router set up in the basement with the satellite set up in the main level. As someone with a flexible work schedule, I am able to use the internet upstairs in my office with no issue. I have been able to stream video with no buffering from all three floors of my townhouse. Very pleased with the purchase and extension of my signal. The Orbi app is great and easy to use as well

The Orbis were installed with 1 upstairs and 1 down stairs and now I receive the amount of mb/sec that I am paying for. I can stream anywhere in my home now where before sometimes I couldn't even get my phone to work downstairs. I have a 4 K 75 inch Sony downstairs and streaming is no problem. I would recommend these for anyone not having enough speed throughout your home to do everything you want.

Speed and power is amazing with this system. The only complaint I have is the access within the Orbi app. The user login for the admin is very complicated and it is often a challenge to login and check the system to see if it is online.

We've used Netgear routers for a while now. After purchasing the Netgear R6300 to replace my WNDR4500 / N900, I wired the older router to the R6300 to create a extended/mesh network. While that worked well enough in my home, we still ran into issues. Once the Orbi offered the ability to create a wired backhaul, I took the plunge and bought the units. So far, I'm extremely happy with performance. Signal strength/coverage is far stronger with no dead zones (3,000 home with coverage reaching outside where I need it. I would have given 5 stars...but I have one issue that I've spent way too much time to resolve. My WD MyCloud2 NAS continues to map as \\WDMYCLOUD\XXX on Windows 10 PC's...so all referenced links work. However, on Windows 7 PC's, those links/mappings didn't carry through...amd appear as \192.168.#.### \XXX. I've NEVER had this problem before. And, I performed all steps to delete/clear/reset the network paths and it still will not pickup the name for the drive mapping. To me, this should be something that should have been addressed in their notes or user forums. I have yet to find that. Except for that, it was well worth the purchase!

I use this system in a bigger home (3,500+ sf) and I find it to be generally pretty good. The system doesn't allow any true dead spots, but it does struggle to cover the entire house.

We had a higher end Linksys router before, actually that AND a wireless access point as well, and the coverage in our 2 story home was patchy at best. Read several reviews about system similar to the Orbi and decided to try it first. Very happy with the results. Have much better coverage now in our home and no more video conferences/training freezing up like they used to.

Using the dual units to provide wifi to a 5000 sq. ft. home, no problems at all. Worth the higher price to stream and have wifi signal anywhere in my home.

Purchased one when first released. Setup was very easy and throughput very good for a mesh system. Settings don't allow different SSIDs for the two frequencies (2.4 and 5 GHz). Purchased another a few months later (the unit for this review) and satellite stopped connecting to the base in <30 days after setup and could not be reset. I have many other Netgear products that run flawlessly so this is likely a fluke. Returned this and will try again.

ORBI 3000 - Review from heavy User

Overall an awesome upgrade from my Netgear NightHawk Router. The MESH technology is definitely much better for me, as I have around 50 Smart Devices, and Multiple Hubs supporting different companies. When you are setting up 2.4 Devices (VS 5.0), frequently you have to search for the items multiple times, because of the way in which the Router passes the Frequencies through the MESH. It is not as advanced for tweaking as the Nighthawk, however. The Orbi is designed more for the Home Consumer, than the Power User. Also I wanted to put IP VANISH on my Router instead of individual devices, which it does not permit. Also be careful, as I had a USB Hard Drive connected to my Nighthawk which worked great, but with two Similar Orbi 3000 Models, when I picked up (COVID Curbside) my Orbi at Best Buy, I didn't realize until I got home that the model they gave me, didn't have a USB Port on either the Satellite or the Router, although there is an Orbi 3000 that does have it - Confusing. So now I do NOT have an external Storage Option. Also I have seen many conflicting accounts as to how many Smart Devices you can connect to the Orbi.

Great product. We had been having Wi-Fi issues at our house, so I purchased this product to improve coverage and speeds. Has been great. No dead spots in about 3500 sq. feet, over two stories. Was also a little worried about setting up with an AT&T router, but it was pretty easy with the internet’s help.

    Best Router on market

The Netgear - Orbi Tri-band Wi-fi System is the best router on the market. I had purchased wireless security cameras for outside of my home and could not get a strong enough signal to reach them until I purchased this system. It seemed a little expensive at first, but it is worth the money. It also greatly improved the wifi signal to my tv's and computers all around my home. Highly recommended.
