Problem with my WiFi originated with my comcast modem/router. I was loosing my WiFi connection on all devices in the evening/night time. Discovered this problem when I installed a nest hello (doorbell camera). I returned my modem to Comcast and bought a netgear modem and the orbi. WOW what a difference. Haven’t lost WiFi connection since the UPGRADE was installed. I have a 2 story home 3200 square ft and always had dead spots in the home. The main modem is downstairs and the satellite is upstairs. Now I have great signal/connection all over the house. Strongly recommend this product.

Loved this product, took a few minutes to setup but after ironing out the vlan and custom subnets I was good to go.

This device is incredible (after three days of use). No longer is our household bogged down with the buffer monster. Buy with confidence.

I got this router to replace my old Apple Time Machine. The Orbi does a great job of creating a strong signal throughout my house, but I've struggled to find a way to back up my Apple Products over wifi.

I have over 30 devices in the house and didn't get good bandwidth and coverage. The mech network was easy to setup and I have excellent coverage in the house.

I upgraded to the mesh system. It is the best investment I made. My old router was around 17 to 30 mbs and now I am getting around 100mbs.

I chose the Orbi because it had more Ethernet ports than other brands. It handles a household of five with multiple devices going at once with ease.

Easy to set up and use. Expensive, but tried other extenders that didn't do the job and ended up costing more total than this unit.

Good coverage but horrible file transfer speed

I got these to improve the coverage in my 1500 sq foot ranch house. I had a google onhub router in the great room, and had great results with it, but when I was in my bedroom at the opposite corner of the house, I'd often have to turn wireless off and back on again for my iPad to connect. I have a 60 TB NAS array and copy large files to it often. And on my Google Onhub I could copy files between 60 and 80 MB/s speeds to that NAS box. With this, while I had good wireless coverage, and the wireless showed me connecting at my normal 866 Mbps, file copies couldn't even hit 40 MB/s and so my file copies took twice as long. I spent three or four days with support and various user forums trying all sorts of different things, but nothing I did made the file copy speeds get anywhere near acceptable. Setup was easy though, worked exactly as they outlined in the documentation. No issues duplicating my existing wireless. I used the same SSID and the same key, and all my home wireless clients connected just fine without me having to reset anything. If you are doing nothing but wireless, they work. I was able to get speed tests maxing out my 200Mb line from my ISP without issue, and I had no problems with disconnects. My devices all switched seamlessly between mesh devices. But with such horrible speeds copying over the network, I couldn't keep it, and ended up returning it. Fortunately I found the newer google devices can mesh with the older ones, so I was able to get one of those and solve all my issues but keep my file copy speed.

Does the best job of anything I've ever seen. Doesn't penetrate exterior walls as well as would be ideal, but definitely great.

Bought these to replace my old Apple routers. These are much better and easier to use. The app is pretty good overall, but not the best. You can tell it’s a Netgear app lol.

This is my first whole home router, however its performance has been great. Where my old router and range extender did not reach the orbi excels in covering my entire home.

This seems like great router system. We were having a lot of issues with our provider and they suggested using this mesh router system because of our number of connections. The set up was fairly straightforward with a few cross words before everything got reconnected. It does seem better and the provider also seems to have made improvements to their network as well. The real test will be when our kids come home again and we have additional phones and tablets/laptops connected.

Instantly went from download speeds in the 10-20 Mbps on an outdated cheap router to 200-235 Mbps consistently in all areas of our 2200 sq. ft. home. Got so tired of hearing from the family “our wifi sucks” and super slow speeds so we broke down and got this Netgear Orbi and have been very happy. Got coverage everywhere now even on the patio (where is was greatly needed) The only complaint so far is that I wish the cool blue lights on top of the main router and satellite would be on all the time and not just on start up.

Overall East to Setup for basic functionality to get a signal and have Wi-Fi Signal is strong reach about 2 house up the street. Wish I could setup a guest network, haven't figured that out yet.

This works way better than the range extenders I was using. In general, my home wifi coverage is great now with all the corners of the house getting maximum wifi bandwidth.
