Orbi works great so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having trouble getting reception 100 feet away from modem, with a decent range extender. My speeds were averaging 10 mbps at that distance. Now with the orbi I am getting an average of 60 mbps from the same location, granted I am only paying for 50. So it is working great for me.

Worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Wi-Fi system has exceeded my expectations, I was previously using a second router set up as DDWRT to extend my WiFi network. I had also tried signal repeaters which actually slow down the network. This device allows me to get above 100Mbps wireless speeds at all corners of my home.

Good coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the fact that this is wireless AC. I have 300mbps speeds from Time Warner and I have gotten the wifi speeds to peak at about 350 down. We have about 15 devices connected and it averages about 150-200 down. Upload speeds are always consistently 23-24 mbps. Overall good pickup. Will likely pick up another satellite unit.

ORBI is COOL
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have gone through several Linksys systems over last few years and spent hundreds of dollars to have them not work. The assistant manager at the Best Buy helped walk me through this and his suggestions to buy the ORBI. It is working perfectly!!!! Everyone now has Wi-Fi access at the house

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a large house and needed to reach across it and around many corners. We had to have an extender before but it wasn't great. With the "satellite" router, it is now possible to have full strength everywhere. Set-up was easy although we had a little trouble once we changed the password. After a reset and it worked beautifully.

Living Up to DL/UL Speed Expectations!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ORBI has really delivered with measurable results. Dead spots in my house are registering 230+ MBS download where once it was in the teens. Basic setup was a breeze and I plan to start leveraging other capabilities that comes with the ORBI.

Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As soon as it was all connected and turned on, internet speed picked up at home and can now do everything with 4 TVs, 3 gaming systems, two phones, 3 tablets, two desktop computers, two laptops, and the satellite all connected without speeds being affected. Great addition to my home network.

Works way better than what I had
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were getting horrible signal in our 2600 sq ft home. Bought this and a netgear router and the combination is really good. Gave only 4 stars because I personally feel that something still not connected quite right and some of our wireless devices could be getting better signals. But good product.

Plz plz pl read if you're considering this product
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beware of all other positive reviews for this product. They were all likely written before an extensive amount of time it at home as I was going to write a 5 star review after the first week. However, after just 2 months I ran into several issues like dropped connection, slow download speeds, signal strength fluctuating, to downright not being able to connect. These weren't issues caused by my ISP either (I did have plenty no thanks to AT&T but that's another issue entirely) I isolated and troubleshoot-ed to no end for the last 5 months and apparently several people on reddit, tech forums, and even netgear's dedicated support forum have had the same problems and very rarely did Netgear ever respond to the issues at hand. The community was left to its own devices in almost every single thread. Their terrible service is part of the reason im giving a 1 star review. Couldn't even get a response from the netgear orbi support Twitter page. I will say that it is great when it works and has great range which is what I needed, but it's so unreliable at times and is just a dumb box that doesn't auto adjust anything. You have to manually adjust EVERYTHING if something goes wrong which may be difficult for most people as the settings are quite complicated for the layman. So for the price, I paid upwards of $300, it is not worth it for an unreliable, dumb box and the worst support I've seen from any company. Some people have reported no issues over months and even years, which leads me to think there are faulty units and I've one, but I'm sure netgear knows this which is why their warranty period is very short and why they refuse to respond to most issues. Again, buy at your own risk. Never buying another netgear product again unless they change their ways

Simply. Beautiful. Wifi.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply put Orbi from Netgear is the best router I have ever used. Not only its VERY easy to set up but this is the first router I felt that really put the consumer first. Everything is simple and easy right down to the packaging to the layout. I also feel that this is a very "family-friendly" router that everyone would enjoy without the headache. The set up is down right easy and that's what it takes to have a good router without all the tech getting in the way. When they say less is more this could apply to routers. Orbi was made around simplicity and the understanding that not everyone knows how to set it up. Visually when you take the Orbi out the box it looks like something that's right out of the space age. Its design is sleek, modern, and (In my option) beautiful. This is actually a device that doesn't look out of place in your room or living room. A lot of forward innovation on design was done inside the labs of Netgear. The blue LED light at the top of the Orbi isn't too bright so its no distractions. To me the only downside of the design is the color choose they went with, white. This color is going to get really dirty over time at the top of the router. The performance on the Orbi is phenomenal. Everything you looking for in a modern consumer router is here. Tri-band WiFi, MU-MIMO support, Range...Its all packed into the Orbi router. Every device I used maintained the level of speed it was designed to handle. Streamed 4K Netflix content without a problem on my TV, Maintained the level of speed with my Nvidia Shield Tablet streaming PC games, iPhone and iPad stayed strong with Apple Music, Galaxy S6 edge Plus and PS4 was being used simultaneously with other devices all at once. Nothing can slow this router down when you want need it and that's always a plus. The range is fantastic I can literary go two houses down the block and still have my wifi connected. I don't have a 40,000 square feet house to test but from what I could test it covered my whole house easily and the backyard. Guess networking is coming later this year which be nice to have at launch and the Netgear app is outdated in terms of modern app design with even Linksys outdoing them in that department. Outside of that I really down have any issues with the router itself. If you are looking for a great router the Orbi will meet all your expectations and more. It's just simple to use and easy to use. This is a router I would recommend to friends. Netgear hit a home run with this product.

No connectivity issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Costly but worth the price. I had set up issues, but reached out to Orbi and they were very helpful in fixing it. No connectivity issues so far in 1st and 2nd floor. One happy customer :)

Best WI-FI so far.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had numerous fancy routers and extenders in the past. Those days are done. This just simply works wonderfully. My WI-FI speeds have increase 5 fold in almost all areas of the home. Can't say enough good things about this product. Been a while since something impressed me this much.

Best mesh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this system for about a year. I had major issues getting coverage throughout my home. This gives me 100% strength within every inch of my home and very good conversion my yard. I would improve customer service with netgear, but it’s manageable.

Improvement, but not the coverage they claim
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced an older Nighthawk router with a couple of extenders with this Orbi system. Main reasons were to get to a single Network ID (avoid having to switch) and get better coverage throughout the house. The network ID works really well, other than for older devices that can't handle a dual band Network ID (had to engage Netgear support to turn down the 5GHz radio to get it to work). On the coverage side, it isn't what it claims (up to 5,000 sq ft). I have a 2 story <4k sq foot house and leaves spots not covered. I'm debating getting another extender for the coverage, but frustrated that I even need to. They would do well to offer this in different packages like they do some of the lesser models - 1 extender, 2 extenders, etc.

Mesh Wifi Upgraded
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to Orbi after my nighthawk (best router ever!!!) quit working. I thought this would give me greater coverage area since it was 2 units, but I was wrong. I am problems with my Nest outdoor cameras connecting way too often. I might need a 3rd unit (more money!!!!). I have a 2500 sq ft home.

Met expectation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Have split level home, works well. Base unit in basement office, satellite is on ground floor. Both units were basically "plug and play", have no dead zones, at least have had no issues with signal loss going room to room while streaming video. Very happy so far. Cons: a bit pricey

Excellent range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a split level apt with the internet connected in the living in the front of the apt. This unit gives excellent reception to the bedrooms in the back of the apt even without the 2nd unit being plugged in! I have always had problems with reception with other routers.

Works well, set up not intuitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once we got it working, it’s been great. We had to call tech support for set up - set up with the AT&T gateway is tricky. Turns out that logging in on a computer (and not with the smartphone app) resets the IP address for the ORBI, and then it works fine.
