Slowed down

For example we have an extender in my room and my phone would be connected to the main one in the basement. It was annoying.

Once setup it's ok, but before that...........

This is the second setup where I've had to upgrade the firmware. Not normally an issue, but from 1.2 it's a disaster. I've been in the IT industry for 37 years. It took 4 hours to get the latest firmware loaded, both times. What should be straight forward (and it is once it's been upgraded) is not. If you can get one with 1.4 or above on it, it should be fine, otherwise unless you know computers inside out, avoid it.
