Trying to WiFi in my house was horrible. After the installation of the Orbi my wifi increased to the max.

I was looking to upgrade my Netgear router, and decided on the Orbi. I read the reviews, and felt this would be a great choice for me. The set-up was relatively easy using the Orbi app on my iPhone. I updated the firmware, but it wasn’t the latest version. I had to manually update the router to its latest version. Soon afterwards, I started having problems with dropped signals, and constant rebooting. My speeds were also much slower than they should have been. I tried the usual uninstall and reinstall of the router, but the problems continued. I looked on the Community Help boards on the Netgear website, and saw that a lot of people were having the same problems as I was. After 2 days of signal loss and rebooting, I had enough and decided to return the item for a Nighthawk which has been working great since I installed it. It’s too bad, because I really wanted the Orbi to work as advertised, but it was just a big failure for me.

Signal drops constantly. Constantly have to reboot router. You have to pay for a membership in order to get customer support. Keeps blocking access to safe sites. Is not worth it.

We were comparing a whole house wired system versus the Orbi. We are very happy with our decision.

Set up took a little bit longer than I thought it would be its definitely made a big improvement in the reach of our wifi. recommended

Vastly improved the WIFI coverage in our home. Previous coverage was using a HTC router.

Would give it a 5 star if i still did not have to buy an additional extender for my 3400 sq ft home.
