This is one finicky mesh router. At first it felt like all my electronics were connected until I started actually using the devices. At that point devices kept displaying not connected, check your internet or my Amazon Fire stick had serious video lag issues. I restarted the router by unplugging it and nothing. I reset the router back to its factory defaults and still nothing. I also had an older generation ipad which did not connect at all. My Ring cameras were also rendered useless too. After the 5th day of playing around with this router, I decided to return it. Setting up a router should not be this difficult.

    Stops working within 2 months

We bought this in October 2019. It worked great for about 2 months and then completely stopped. We pay for 200 gigs and are only getting about 30 gigs on our devices. We also don’t even get coverage throughout our entire 3000 square foot house even though it says it covers 5000 square feet. At this point my husband has spent 10+ hours troubleshooting with Netgear tech. Nobody ever calls back when they say they will. And when he does finally reach someone they go through the same steps over and over that he has already done. They have sent us a brand new router and even that doesn’t work. At this point I would just like my money back rather than waste another 10 hours on this piece of junk. We got better service with our free router from our Internet provider.

This is a cool looking wi-fi system designed to extend your current wi-fi set-up while looking really good doing it. I loved the fact that I could just set these on a shelf in separate rooms and have them blend in like decor. Set up out of the box is easy--with one odd caveat that there is not a public network right away. I've had many Netgear routers and I believe this is the first that doesn't already have it set up. You can use netgear's convenient dashboard to set it up pretty quickly if you do want that (though I see the reason for not including them right away, as you'll want to password protect it immediately since this router has such long range). Overall it's been perfect for our current two-story house, with a unit on each floor. I've had this for a few weeks now and it definitely does the trick. It's especially nice that it runs my smart TV, notebook and roku receiver upstairs with no apparent loss of signal. The range is spectacular (it's nice to sit on my back deck with my laptop and get speeds as fast as I do next to my router)--I had to walk a few hundred feet from my house before the signal was lost. If you want a solid wi-fi extender that is also stylish (and doesn't resemble a giant spider) then this product is perfect for you.

I purchased this to replace an On Hub and Google WiFi system. To make a long story short, I spent 3 hours trying to set up this Orbi system. On occasion I was able to get the primary Orbi to connect, but the secondary router could never be added to the system. The app was worthless in helping to troubleshoot. The one positive of this system is that it showed me that I have more self-restraint than I thought. It took everything I had not to smash this system with a bat á la Office Space. I gladly returned this and purchased two Nest Routers to serve as the base of my new system. Very happy with those.

i already had an RBK44 and bought this to upgrade the router and add another satelite. It didn't help. So now I'm suck with the original RBK44 that basrely meets my needs. Doesn't allow for use of the extra router as a satelite, which is also a major flaw in this system.
