WoW!!! What A Difference!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First let me start by telling you my old hookup. I had an Airport Extreme AC Router (upstairs) along with an Airport Express (living room TV Connection). All of them running a Sony 75” 4k TV, Ooma Telo Voip phone, Xbox 1s hard wired to the router. Sony 55” 4k TV hardwired to the Express in the living room, 2 Bluray players, chrome cast, Roku, 3 smart 1080p tv’s, one laptop and two PC’s, and 3 cell phones all running on WIFI. Soon to have another Xbox when Project Scorpio finally arrives and will either be purchasing the PS4 Pro or the PS5 in the near future as well. I’ve done a lot of research on Mesh WIFI systems and this one (ORBI) came up on top. So I pulled the trigger and got the AC3000 Double Pack and One additional Orbi Satellite from Best Buy. Apple is discontinuing their routers so I purchased and setup the Orbi WIFI. Very easy instructions, very self explanatory. I got everything setup in less than a half an hour. You can do practically everything that any other router can do with this system. I even opened the ports for my Xbox One so it can have an Open NAT as to not give me any problems playing any multiplayer games. This Orbi setup is utterly incredible! My Hardwired and WIFI internet speeds practically Tripled. I was amazed and so was my wife. One of the best priciest purchases I’ve ever made LoL. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This thing covered my whole house, outside of my home and one of the satellites is working full force in my basement/garage (Concrete slab). Do what I did and pull the trigger and get this if you’re having WIFI/Internet problems in your home. I have a 2500sqft home and I know that I probably didn’t need the triple pack, the double would've sufficed but if you’re gonna go all out on a pricey WIFI system, You might as well go big. Better being safe than sorry and not have to worry about anything robbing you of the internet you originally are paying for. I hope this helps anyone interested but not quite sure on which WIFI system to buy. Again I say, there are several out there to choose from but if you have a large home 2500sqft or more and with dead zones, look no further. THIS IS IT!!! P.S. Oh BTW, I even forgot to disconnect my airport express that was connected to my 55” Sony 4k TV when I switched from Airport Extreme to the Orbi WIFI System and it is still working with the Orbi!!! What a plus LoL!

Great range but no USB 3.0
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When you first open the box, you are greeted by a well packed high end products. From the time I opened it and disconnected my old router and modem and hooked the main unit up, total elapsed time was under 40 minutes. Placing the satellite unit took less than 20 minutes. Range improvement over my old setup was decent but I had a rocking setup prior so I think for many this will be a significant speed improvement. What I do know us my overall range and stability has gone up significantly and no real dead zones anymore. What I find very disappointing that considering the cost, I really do not understand why one if not both USB ports should have been 3.0 and not USB 2.0

Best system when you have multiple home offices...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review for the Netgear Orbi Wireless Wifi System. This is a very well designed product and has some neats features. I really like how it has two base components so that you can place the second one somewhere across your home and it will allow for a hard wired connection for a system in that area. The speed and throughput is on par with all of the latest devices. The user interface is a little confusing to use when trying to configure the base unit versus the satelite unit. I was also surprised that the USB port was only 2.0 but if it is not heavily used or only for printers then maybe that won't be a concern. The overall feel and look of these devices is really sharp and has almost a soft touch to it. I would highly recommend this router system for anyone with a larger home or with two home offices.

Great true wireless system
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like that they can connect to provide an enterprise grade true wireless coverage in all the current speeds. Extra satellites are expensive but 2 covers my 3k sq ft home no problem. Better speeds than my enterprise zyxell wireless system. Only issue is lack of multiple ssid's meaning no guest network.

Took some time,but works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started off with Luma 3pack to see if it will work in my home, and although it worked I was not getting the speed I was getting from my isp. Then after reading positive reviews for the Eero I also went with the 3pack and even though I was not getting the maximum speed I pay for from my isp I was getting slightly faster speeds over the Luma, but not as fast. I returned both products and returned to using my range extender also from Netgear ex6200 which I was semi happy with but hated always switching from my isp's network to the extender network. I decided to give Netgear's Orbi a try to see how it works compared to Luma and Eero. My isp router is a 3 in one, 1. Modem, 2. Router, and 3. Phone line. Before release I emailed Netgear to see if the Orbi unit will work for me, and they told me that I can put the unit in access point. It took me awhile to get everything set up because the Orbi was being set up as a router, and I was not have no any luck setting my isp's router into bridge mood, so I ended up not bridging my modem and used one of the ports. After doing so I was able to finally set up the Orbi. After running several speed tests throughout my entire home I was getting the speed I was paying for from my isp even in the backyard. I have a dead zone in my sunken family room because the room is all wood so my wifi signal was having problems reaching so I tried all the possible routes from ranger extenders to other mesh networks and even on the other solutions I did I still could not reach my backyard and the maximum speed I was able to receive in my family room was 120Mbps and I am paying for 150+Mbps dl and 10Mbps up. With the Netgear Orbi I am getting speeds of he full 180Mbps dl and 12.29Mbps up. I am satisfied with Netgear's Orbi as it has been the only solution that has blanketed my entire property. My home is 1500 square feet and the property is 5100 square feet and Orbi has me covered everywhere even though it say it'll cover 4000 square feet I think it'll cover more than that. The materials in my family room as I mentioned is my problem area, but not anymore. I am enjoying not switching from main router to router extender and back to router, for my purposes Orbi has performed the way it's supposed to be and I'm very happy about that.
