My old router quit working and, after researching mesh and other routers, and reading a bunch of reviews, I decided on the Netgear Orbi. It was very easy to set up and the speed has been great. And it has the big benefit of only having to deal with one network name instead of multiple like when you have an extender.

This is an excellent router. Sends a strong signal, and you never notice when it switches from the main device to the satellite.

I’m extremely happy with the Orbi Mesh wifi , since I installed the router in the second floor and the Satellite in the first floor, everything is running smoothly and fast, the wifi speed is the same in the whole house even in the backyard. Highly recommended!

I researched and compared the top three choices. I choose the Orbi because of the positive reviews and number of reviews. It's plug and play as advertised. Maybe took 10 minutes to set up. Works like a charm. Replaced my apple router with two air expresses that just stopped working. I would give 5 stars if additional units cost less. $300 is a little steep. $200 or less would be better.

I barely notice any loss in speed, the routers give me speed faster than what the internet provider said, which makes it great. I can go from basement to second floor without an issue, and anything on the first floor doesn't seem to have any lag in connection. Easy to set up, as well.

Honestly so a life saver! Everyone uses WiFi now so making sure you have connection is a must! Had no WiFi signal at all on the other side of my house. With this mesh WiFi system I now get 400+ MBPS. Totally worth it! Don’t bother with WiFi 6 it’s many years away from now.

The 5 year old Apple router just couldn’t cover our new home. So, after researching new routers, I settled on this one. Easy setup through the app. Full signal through out the home. Even to the detached garage. Router and satellite are a bit large. Color scheme is unobtrusive. I’m happy with the purchase.

I setup the RBK50-100NAS (includes BR50 base unit + 1 BS50 satellite unit) and the results have been fantastic. Prior to setup, I had been using the WiFi that comes with Xfinity's cable modem/router and my outdoor Nest cam was regularly losing network signal. (In the span of almost 3 days I received 51 messages that my Nest cam was offline ... and the camera is situated about 20ft from the modem/router.) After installing the Orbi, I went for 3 weeks without a single message from my Nest cam. Three months later - still working great. With the base unit on the 1st floor and satellite unit on the 2nd floor, we get excellent coverage throughout our 1800 sqft townhouse, including the 3rd floor and front and back yards. Note; I was considering the CBK40 which has a built-in cable modem. But I wanted the AC3000 which includes improved back-haul performance between satellite and base-unit compared to the AC2200. Helpfully, the Best Buy rep recommended this Orbi package with the Netgear CM500V to replace my Xfinity cable modem/router rental. Works perfectly!

    Easy Set Up

I've had this system for about 30 days and I was a little concerned about the comments that it worked for a short period of time than stopped or had to be constantly reset. I've not had that problem. The set up was very easy and I even moved the satellite twice and it was simple to connect to the new location. Signal strength has improved to the hard to reach areas of the house. I'm on the Comcast system and also purchased the Netgear voice modem to replace the rented device for $13.00/month. The rented device was a combo modem/router so I had to get the modem and mesh WiFi to replace it. I'm on the Comcast 400MB (speed) plan and the modem/Orbi is doing slightly above that at this time, consistent with the rented device. I purchased the voice modem and Orbi because of the reviews and because they were both manufactured by NetGear, so I figured there would not be any modem to router interface problems. Its going to take a little longer than I want for the payback at $13.00/month...close to 3.5 years.

I tried Eero and it was much more difficult to set up. Orbi was a breeze and super robust in features and performance. I also liked that you didn't necessarily need the App to set up. The latest version of the iOS App is actually really easy to use as well, but for port forwarding and other tweaks, stick with the web version of setup.

I bought the Orbi to create a stronger WiFi signal. It not only did that (1900 sq ft, single floor home), it helped set up an office area completely across the house. I have full bars on my WiFi now, even outside. Easy to setup, easy to start, easy to use. Love this product.

This system is really outstanding. Setup was simple--no problems whatsoever. Coverage is excellent. My house is not very large, but coverage in the basement is great (main router is on the main floor)! The only thing I did not like was having only 3 wired connections. I had to add a switch to the system. Overall this is an excellent router.

Easy set up. Amazing performance. No dead spots in either level of the house. I have 150 Mbps maximum download speed from Cox and I am achieving an average of 142 Mbps throughout house. What a difference this product has made. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Fixed my Wi-Fi issues I had with my Nighthawk router. In my 2500 sq ft home this provides coverage from front to back. With gigabit internet this is vital to get what you are paying for. Easy to setup and has remained on with no reboots or other issues.

I was having issues with my internet company provider's modem/router. I was not getting the speed that I was paying for plus the signal was not getting far enough from the router's location. I installed this and inmediately noticed the speed boost and an increase on signal range.

We love this thing. We live in a 3 level home and with 4 tech users in the house speed has been an issue. We'll often stream games, video or music on 3 or 4 devises concurrently. Orbi has made a world of difference. The set up was simple and the change is speed was nothing short of astounding (10 to 50x). Great range all over the house.

I am a technology expert and I bought this based off all the reviews here and other retailers’ sites. Setup was easy, although I did mine manually instead of the wizard. My firmware was updated right away and I keep it up to date. All was fine until last night, when certain websites gave me access denied errors. One was Costco.com. I reached out to Costco, they said they were fine, which I confirmed via my phone on cellular data. I reached out to my ISP, Comcast - heard nothing. Research showed to do a factory reset. I did this, manually setup my network again, and still could not get to the website. I also plugged the PC directly into the modem and it worked. More and more digging I found the solution. You have to assign a MAC address to broadcast to your ISP. Once I did this and bounced the modem, all was good through the router. My house is 3500 square feet. I have the base unit on my lower level on one side of the house and the satellite on the upper level on the other side of the house. When I browse the connected devices, nothing attaches to the satellite, it all attaches to the base, making me wonder if I really needed this mesh system. I replaced a Netgear R7900 that was failing daily with the Orbi.
