I like that it uses one name to connect to wifi anywhere in my large home, and that it is fairly easy to install and use. I feel it's too expensive though, and I ended up using a decent wifi extender that has just as good coverage as the Orbi but a lot cheaper.

This router system is by far the best I've ever owned. Seamless and smart management of the 2.5 /5 gHz spectrums among devices. The coverage is amazing and covers every inch of my property inside and out! I love that later on I can just purchase a 3rd satellite to further enhance my network coverage. Setup: Quick and to the point, you can use the netgear app or do it from a computer, took about 10 minutes once everything was plugged in. Looks: I also love the fact that this router doesn't really look like any router to come before it. It's somewhat of a conversation piece as I've had a few guests inquire as to what it is when they see it in my family room. It just adds to the decor rather than looking like a piece of tech sitting in the midst of our living space.

I heard about these and I really liked the design but I wasn't too keen on the price. Coincidentally my router died and since I've 10 times the with wifi enabled devices in my home, I definitely needed an upgrade. My old wifi router worked great for the most part but since I live in a house built in the thirties, the plaster walls were a problem especially the farther away you got from the router. I decided to splurge and get the Orbi system. They look great with my decor. I don't really have to hide them and they work great. It was a little tough setting them up due to firmware updates but once that hurdle was crossed, I haven't had any trouble or any weak wifi signals through out my house. My home is about 1,600 sq ft so, it might of been overkill but hey I get signal throughout my 6,000 sq ft lot.

We are getting better connection with the Orbi-3000 tri-band.

Have tried many routers over the years. This is the first for a Mesh Wifi system. We currently have a two story house and with all new builds at least the ones we have seen before buying, they seem to put the connections in the master bedroom closet? Consistently all of the routers I purchased would have very limited coverage on the patio at the back of the house, the garage and the front door area. I also had issues with wifi coverage for the security cameras. This is one month of using the Orbi and i must say coverage is sufficient through out the house and in the garage. The next big test will be when i purchase again the cameras and the video door bell so will have to resubmit another review. Presently all areas tested for wifi strength using my phone and tablet ( after using Wifi analyzer app.). In closing, am pleased with the Orbi at this time.

Using the orbi app to set up the internet was okay. Installing updates and trying to sync other devices Wi-Fi to the router was dropping them for the first several attempts but after its setup Works amazing. just have to get over the first hurdle

My house is 4900sq ft and my previous router didn't have the power to provide adequate coverage to the entire house. This system not only covers the entire house but the basement where the signal use to cut in and out.

This Orbi wireless gateway/router is a great addition to home network and truly enables to reach and speed of WiFi across your home. It is little pricy but in long run it pays off. A must have to support your WFH and your kid’s streaming media needs. My previous router just died after 2-years of use (firmware wouldn’t reset or update). I purchased the same one and have paired the extra satellite from previous one. Not satisfied about the glitch with reset/ upgrade on former unit but am hoping that this new unit with current firmware version will not lock itself like previous one. Overall, happy with speed and performance.

I always had dead spots or poor quality WiFi with several prior routers in a large house (4400 sq ft). The Orbi with satellite unit not only covers the entire house with very high speed internet, but for about 100 feet outside.

Some technologies/devices may require the 2.4gHz band (weather stations for example, that want broader--re: farther--coverage vs the higher speed of 5 gHz). While the ORBI is indeed a tri-band, the 2.4 SSID is not separately broadcast; so you can not force (or choose) that band if you needed it. NETGEAR says too bad-that is the way it is.

I was not sure how much of an increase in WiFi coverage I would get with just one satellite but not only did this system cover my home and most of my yard, it increased my speed by ten times. It is great!

Pricey but Huge Improvement to speed and stability and coverage for three floors, over old router. Easy setup. Was able to use With existing modem router. No more bandwidth fights.

I looked at this product in the past, but couldn't justify the price. After having continuous issues with our wireless network I began to look at products once again. Boom, the product was on sale. I did a little more research and decided to make the purchase. We are glad we did. Much better coverage across the three stories of our home.

Was skeptical about jumping on the mesh wagon. Needed to insure solid signal through the house. Setup was pretty straightforward. Didn't care for having to use your phone for the setup and then Netgear Armor being installed with no option to not install it. Only gotcha that I have run into is if you have an older wifi device that only runs on 2.4 you need to disable 5ghz in order to be on the same network for setup. Works fine after the initial setup. Not all setup options are available through the mobile app but the web interface is the familiar Netgear interface.... Hope the price will continue to come down.

Purchased this mesh system in May '19 (purchase date at the bottom says August '20... But my purchase history is definitely May '19), besides having to power cycle the modem/router every few weeks, it performed fairly well. Suddenly this morning, I had wifi, no internet (again, this happens). So I power cycled as I normally do. Then all of a sudden, it didn't want to broadcast. I went through all of the trouble shooting tips over a 2 hour period. Decided to factory reset and start over. THAT DIDN'T WORK. It literally wouldn't factory reset. I even watched the video from netgear on how to do it (it's the normal reset procedure of course). Still no good. Then I found on a forum one person who had turn the Orbi on and then off while holding down the reset button with a paper clip. That actually worked. But even with it being factory reset IT WILL NOT broadcast it's signal. The Orbi App cannot detect it at all... Mobile data off, etc... Just a blinking white light (for over an hour at this point). For reference, I did reinstall my older nighthawk router and that worked fine... No issues...I really think that the router bit the dust. When I first set it up, it took maybe 10 minutes. Since the factory reset, it's been over an hour and I'm spinning in circles.

For those with multifloor WIFI coverage issues, this setup is for you. Easy to set up and WIFI coverage is complete throughout my home with strong signals. This was needed for many of my "smartphone" devices. Cost is worth it!

Great product. Before installing, I recommend running diagnostics on old WiFi to test Internet speed. Upon installation, I immediately noticed Internet/Connection/Buffering on all devices connected to new system. Additionally, I performed a test of Internet speed and it dramatically increased. Great product to buy and it was easy to install. I recommend utilizing old WiFi name/password to avoid the hassle of connecting all your devices to a newly created WiFi.

I have been using the Orbi for a few months now and it has been awesome. The signal is steady and strong with no problems whatsoever. The only drawback is that you pay a premium for it, if it was $50-100 cheaper then it would be the absolute perfect system.

This Orbi mesh wifi is very good it extends my wifi coverage tremendously I have wifi all around the house and even the back yard super fast and very reliable A+ highly recommended
