Awesome router for big homes and big families
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to say this is by far the best router I've ever owned. I have a 2500 sq ft house and after placing the routers at opposite ends of the home (52 feet apart) I now have coverage in my entire home and about 50-60 feet around the outside of the entire house. I had a download speed of about 45-55 Mbps before the Orbi. My latest speed test with about 15 devices streaming at the same time resulted in a bit over 105 Mbps.

Great mesh system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my mesh network and was a significant improvement in speed and reliability from my prior legacy Apple Time Capsule. Consistent WiFi throughout my house despite the base unit nestled in one corner of the lower level underground and the satellite unit located in the center of my 2100 SF upper level. Am very pleased with our unit and the service it supplies. Would not hesitate to buy again.

the very best internet mesh system ever!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a large home and my internet was at best spotty in different sections of the house. A real hassle. I tried every router out and had no luck until the Orbi. I have three of them. One next to modem and one next to my desktop which is a floor below and not hardwired to the modem. One on the other side of my home near large tv and my internet flies. One of the best investments I have ever made.

Amazing speed and reliability.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this on my gaming PC. I can't hardwire into the modem where I have it so that's where this came into play. I love it! No issues, lag, or hang-ups while gaming. I get great speeds and low latency even though I'm on the other side of the house. I would recommend getting the router/modem combo if you can find it.

Consistent Coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We set this up throughout our 3000sf house and we consistently got top notch speeds wherever we were. No more spotty wireless when we are “far” from our modem and router.

Netgear Orbi, still solid choice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had my original AC3000 Orbi router unit since 2017 and it took a death nap last month. Had to buy same model again as I dont have enough play money to buy the upgraded Wifi6 set w/satellites, which is the end goal. The unit has been surprisingly stable for 5 years but like all Netgear product, be careful when doing firmware upgrades. Otherwise it does well for all the streaming, WFH, and Smart Home use its been tasked with. Setup, however, isnt as flawless as they promote. It's still good using the app and such, but it took 2 attempts to get it working right. I didnt have a backup with the latest firmware (my fault) so having to re-add everything back in was a pain. With the extender, definitely have no coverage issues. With router being in basement, I have it wired to the extender on 1st floor and have another one, wireless, on 2nd floor. Separate backhaul channel makes a difference. Signal even carries outside for smart plugs/outlets that are used for holiday lights.

Good Router/WiFi Mesh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having trouble deciding to upgrade my router or get a mesh system I had a corner of the house that was getting poor Wi-Fi and a new router probably wouldn't have corrected it, an access point is not possible, so I would have needed to get an extender so I decided to get the Orbi. I put the main unit where the router was and the satellite in the corner of the house where the Wi-Fi was poor and the two unit synced and got excellent signal. The Wi-Fi dead spot was resolved. Set up was a 3 out of 5 (5 being the easiest/less complicated) mostly because of the firmware updates that needed to be completed. However there is no indication when the update is complete. No need to call tech support or need special networking skills, just patience and common sense. Once the satellite syncs with the main unit and get the blue light indicating a good reception, the light goes out and there is no way to know if they are connected to each other. The router software is typical Netgear and easy to navigate. You are able to rename devices after they connect. However two issues...1. It gives you a list of what is connect and what is not connected (device may be off) but each time the Dish Network Hopper reboots from an update it changes the name so I had 15 Hopper's showing not connected and one showing connected. 2. It doesn't show which devices are connected to which unit, the main unit or satellite. May be petty but would like to know if the satellite is indeed picking up devices that are closer and not staying connected to the main unit. Overall the Orbi is a good system. It was a better option the getting a new router and extender and losing 1/2 the Wi-Fi since it didn't have a dedicated third channel. This is the future and the best way to go!

Best WIFI Router EVER!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My house is almost 4000 square feet with two stories. We have one unit downstairs in one corner of the house and the satellite unit upstairs in a corner on the other side of the house. We have zero wifi dead spots. Additionally with all of our connected devices we might have 35 or more devices connected to these at any given time. These routers have never ever bogged down!

On sale! Time to buy!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you can get this on sale it's time to buy. I managed to snag this for $200 instead of the $280 retail cost. It's great when you need that extra satellite in a remote location to extend to the other side of the house. You won't get full speed but it's better than nothing.

Great Expanded Coverage!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this mesh router cause I was having issues connecting wireless cameras outside my home. The setup was easy and it expanded the wifi coverage to where I needed it. My backyard and garage were my weakest signal areas. After this purchase, I am getting full coverage to the back fence of my backyard all the way to the end of driveway! No more video delays or buffering from my outdoor cameras. I highly recommend this item.

Best for a 5000 plus sq. Ft home.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as a holiday gift for friends with a large two story home in Cave Creek. They were skeptical at first that ANY system could work . A couple of days later, I received a text that not only did it provide whole home coverage in areas where their previous system did not reach; but coverage also extended outdoors to pool, tennis court, and casitas. Highly recommended.
