The NETGEAR - Orbi AC3000 Tri-Band Whole Home WiFi System was convenient and easy to setup. I was able to get the router and the satellite to connect to the cable modem and onto the internet very quickly. The benefit to this system is the three additional ports you have on the router and the satellite, in the even you want to hardware devices onto the network. You can disable devices from utilizing the router easily from the downloadable Netgear Orbi application.

The product has great range. You can go outside your home and still have a good WiFi signal.

We had problems with WiFi signal in front part of our house. After setting this product up no more problems. Our son can do his homework and get online with no issues.

I purchased this to replace my Google WiFi set up considering my speeds were getting gimped by the set up. I decided this would probably be a better choice and boy was I not disappointed. Even though they are quite big, they don’t really stand out for my set up. It covers my whole apartment and the Google WiFi required me to have all three. Just food for thought! Great purchase

If you can get this on sale it's time to buy. I managed to snag this for $200 instead of the $280 retail cost. It's great when you need that extra satellite in a remote location to extend to the other side of the house. You won't get full speed but it's better than nothing.

In an effort to eliminate dead spots in my modest 1500 square foot home I decided to invest in Netgear's Orbi. I was looking to replace D-Link's AC3200 DIR-890L which worked great for about 10 months before I started to get intermittent wifi and wireless deadzones throughout my home. So far the Orbi has met my expectations and offers very fast wifi in my basement (the main Orbi Router is installed in the top floor of my home and the satellite is on the main floor). I am an Xfinity Blast customer and can get over 200mbs with devices attached to my router. I used to get speeds of about 30-40mbs in the basement - now I am consistently achieving over 140mbs and have peaked as high as 190mbs in some cases. Video game systems max out at around 30-40mbs, which is double the speed I had in the past. Set-up wasn't as easy as indicated online and in the literature. I needed to update the firmware of both the main router and the satellite to pair the two - took about an hour after multiple tries. Read online that many have had the same issue - so loss of one star for that. Also, the components are not as sturdy as I think a $400 piece of hardware should be. The components are made of cheaper plastic and do not have much weight to them - so they feel a little flimsy. The firmware updates are adding additional features - like guest networks (available) and, supposedly soon, USB storage (not available yet). I didn't mind the software - Netgear's Genie app is easy to use for the typical technophile and looks to have some advanced features that I would never take advantage of. I am running about 2 dozen wifi devices with no issues to date - it's been about 4 weeks. So I have been happy with Orbi so far and would recommend to anyone looking for fast wifi outside of that 300-500 Square foot range of many wifi routers our there.

This system is just what I needed, since our main router needs to be in a back room. The Satellite in the front room allows for a LOT more coverage and of all the things we have on WIFI, we have not had any trouble. Everything stays online and no messages saying move router closer (since we couldn't). Recommended.

The Orbi has exceeded my expectations. It has great performance and coverage. Totally love it.

Had my original AC3000 Orbi router unit since 2017 and it took a death nap last month. Had to buy same model again as I dont have enough play money to buy the upgraded Wifi6 set w/satellites, which is the end goal. The unit has been surprisingly stable for 5 years but like all Netgear product, be careful when doing firmware upgrades. Otherwise it does well for all the streaming, WFH, and Smart Home use its been tasked with. Setup, however, isnt as flawless as they promote. It's still good using the app and such, but it took 2 attempts to get it working right. I didnt have a backup with the latest firmware (my fault) so having to re-add everything back in was a pain. With the extender, definitely have no coverage issues. With router being in basement, I have it wired to the extender on 1st floor and have another one, wireless, on 2nd floor. Separate backhaul channel makes a difference. Signal even carries outside for smart plugs/outlets that are used for holiday lights.

I was having trouble with my wi fi reaching throughout my home but after installing the ORBI AC 3000 with just the one satellite, everything went to fantastic. It was so simple to install even the system itself outsmarted me. It auto connected to my home security system, cameras and all. Would recommend this system.

For years I've been getting lack luster speeds from the many routers I've owned. Now finally, Orbi has changed everything for my home network! I pay Cox for up to 150 Mbps, the best I've ever seen has been 60mbps, less than half of what I pay for. With Orbi, I've seen speeds of up to 200mbps! I don't know how the Orbi does it, but it's incredibly awesome! Rip the band aid off and buy this system you won't be sorry!
