We have foam insulated concrete outer walls and floors. I bought the mesh because I did not expect the signal to carry through the house. To my surprise I am getting full signal in the basement and have not even hooked up the satellite yet!

Orbi did improve my speed and range somewhat, but 2 still did not adequately cover the lower level of my house. (5000 sq. feet)

I was having problems in my home getting Wi-Fi through out my house even with a extender. So I went to best buy to try and figure something else to do and I was recommended this product. Since I have bought the router I have had no problems at all. It is a little pricey but will worth it. I have recommended it to a few friends and they have went out and bought one and love it.

Best router system I have ever owned!

These devices are absolutely amazing! I replaced a reasonably new Linksys EA7300 that performed poorly throughout our home. I was only getting 75mbps in most areas of the house with those (even though we pay for the 400/20 mbps with Spectrum). I installed the Orbi system and immediately saw speeds of 400-450mbps when connected to the main unit! However, I was initially unable to get the same speeds through the satellite unit until I discovered there was a firmware update. The automated update system didn't tell me one was available. I had to go to the Netgear site to find this out. I downloaded the firmware and did the manual update instead. After, I was getting the same speeds via the satellite unit. I should mention that I purchased the Deco M9 system immediately before this one, but returned them one day after use. That design did not allow for airflow to the unit and they would easily overheat until performance stalled. I'm glad I went with the Orbi AC3000 system instead!

We had rooms in our house with very poor wi-fi connections and could not use tv apps for streaming. The cable company claimed our wiring was too old. Over the years we upgrades the router and tried boosters with no success. We bought this because a member of the Geek squad spent a lot of time explaining the mesh system and finding one that was the best value and easy to use. We did not have an appointment - just saw him before we checked out and asked his opinion about the booster we had originally planned to buy. Can't say enough about how helpful he was!! This netgear system was out of stock and we ordered it and it arrived at our house quickly. It was easy to set up and we have great wifi all over our house. This is a great solution and we've had no problems since buying it (one month ago).

I had been using an Asus router for a few years and thought my coverage and speed were pretty good. Decided to see how much better it could be and picked up the Orbi RBK50. The router side is on the top floor of the house and I put the satellite downstairs at the other end. My signal is solid throughout the house and the speed is great!!! Very good purchase.

After using various versions of Apple’s Airport WiFi since they were introduced, I finally had to move on to something else. The internet access point is in the basement, and the computers are on the second floor. I had tried bridge modes without getting reasonable speeds. The Orbi came highly recommended. Setup was slightly bumpy, but I eventually got it to work. Basement and first floor are connected to the base station by ethernet. The satellite is in the office, and 4 computers are hooked up to it by Ethernet. The WiFi Signal throughout the house is great, and I am getting speeds of 300 down and 500 up from our FiOS link. Apple’s Airport suddenly didn’t look so great anymore. .... and then I started to loose connections. Trying to get support from Netgear was horrible. Everything is online - but you are trying to get support for your networking gear. You can get phone support for 90 days, my router failed after 45 days, but the website claimed that it was already past the 90 days. It was extremely frustrating. Thank God Bestbuy replaced it without any fuss.

What a difference and so easy to setup! Check with your Internet company regarding a change to your bridge setup and this is easily used in place of the router side of a combo router/modem. Use with Xfinity. Great security, notifications, Has tripled our WiFi reach Love this Hughly recommend

The mesh setup has done a great job expanding our network and the setup was SUPER simple. On my iPhone 6s, the Wi-Fi speed and signal strength has been great in our 2400 square ft home (plus it's split level). One issue is my wife's Samsung Galaxy 8 is not performing as well as I had hoped, she keeps getting losing her internet connection even when she is sitting close to one of the units.

Overall The system was easy to set up. It very occasionally toggles connection on some of my devices, like iPad and smartphone, but this is mostly a very solid expansion system. The dedicated backhaul channel handles all my media devices...tv, receiver, blue ray, and satellite box seamlessly while providing excellent wifi repeater expansion for my second floor of the house.

I tried the Google Wifi set (of 3) first and then these to compare and these Orbi units provide much better coverage throughout our 2-story 4000+ sf house. I tried changing SSID/WiFi password but did not take for some reason, not allowing my devices to connect so I ended up leaving it as default. Would get a 5-Star if configuration was more user friendly. Also pricing could be more wallet friendly.

Acceptable but disappointed. Its was complicated to be connected but transferred easily to previous WiFi network, as it took over existing network name. It reduced the amount of work to re-validate existing Wifi components such as solar, home security, smart TVs, cell phones, tablets, game consoles, Blu-ray players. Frustrated that unit was not what I asked for, which was originally a cable modem/WiFi replacement to turn in Internet service provider's rented unit. Was sold Wifi network but still required internet service provider's rentable module. When told salesman later that it wasn't what was desired, was told that manufacturer did not make a cable modem/Wifi module, which was untrue as I had researched on web site that the unit does exist. When salesman informed of fact, as I had pulled it up on phone internet, was told, location did not have unit in stock. A vastly different matter and loses credibility of person and business. Products can be best quality and price but unless if the credibility of salesman and business is suspect for honesty and delivery.

A significant improvement over my old netgear nighthawk. Easy to set up and good coverage. The only real problem is the intrusive and difficult to manage trial security software that is included. It expires after 30 days. Otherwise very happy and Best Buy matched the low price.

I really wanted a solid whole house system. I needed 3500sqft coverage and high speed for kids gaming. Seems to be working g well. Would have went up on the rating if the software was more robust. I hoped and was actually told by the Best Buy person that it had software that would allow me to limit times and usage by device. It doesn't!!!

Easy to set up and install on ones cell phone. The software is easy to use and installs quickly. It totally resolved my WIFI issue and provides 4 bars of coverage anywhere within our home of 1532 sq ft and pool deck of 1728 sq ft. Would not be without this. Expensive, but worth the investment.
