We replace our Netgear Hawk 6 for 5h8s newer Netgear Orbi for our 4,000 square feet home. We thought it was our internet service, but it was in fact our previous router. We now have full home coverage at lighting speeds again! Easy set up of the main router and the satellite unit. Wish we had done this a year ago!

I have tried different types of routers so that I can acquire WiFi throughout my 2200sqft 2 story home. Linksys came the closest but I would loose signal as soon as I went into my yard. All of that changed when o got this beast. I have full signal speed in my home and also in front and back yard. I have set up the router on one floor and the satellite on the other floor. I have zero streaming issues with hi WiFi speeds. My WiFi signal even reaches to the next door neighbors house when we are having barbecues. They were so impressed that they even picked this up for themselves. The beauty about this mesh system is that netgear gives you the option to add an additional satellite to increase the signal coverage but I can’t even imagine that you would need. Buy this, you won’t regret.

I bought the Orbi 2-pack for my 2 bedroom apartment and absolutely love how fast by WiFi has been since. The only complaint is that the 2.4G and 5G bands are not separated by default which is a problem for some of my devices that require a 2.4G network to connect. But, there are some easy fixes online for this issue.

The Orbi AC3000 (2 pack) was very easy to install and has been operating flawlessly in my home 2-3 weeks now. I downloaded the Orbi app on my iPad and followed the easy instructions. Worked exactly as described. I have DSL service from Frontier and a Frontier provided Netgear modem that is working very well as a system with the Orbi.

Purchased this after reading a number of reviews and watching some YouTube videos. So happy with it. I have the base station on the router and the satellite upstairs in the opposite corner of our house. Eliminated slow connectivity and we get consistent speeds throughout the house.

As being new to the mesh Wi-Fi set up notably the system takes time to connect your when leaving the area and returning home forcing you to wait or if you’re on the phone and you’re using Wi-Fi calling at your residence literally drops your call Because it takes time to connect your device to your Wi-Fi . The main features I purchased it for you get a certain amount of time for free and then it’s paid subscription as far as the other subscription for child controls or filtering cost additional money not to mention if you have any troubles and you need technical support the system does not include a number only a web address hard to use technical support and setting up your device. when you can’t even make a phone call to get a hold of anybody.Box labeled with promises that netgear can’t keep with out more fees product claims to be a simple easy set up that is an overstatement If you don’t have children or need the filtering and you’re willing to spend the time with the system or a experienced user works great

We bought the Orbi AC3000 for the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Sisters, OR. It has eliminated internet connection issues we had been having with our old router plus extension system. Additionally, it has given us the ability to have both a public and a private network. Best of all, it was very easy to set up.

We used this to get WiFi in my house from my grandfather's house, separated by about 150 ft maybe? Sorry, not really sure but it was a considerable distance. It worked amazingly! Definitely worth the money. And since it was tri-band, we never had reduced speeds or dropped internet

The Netgear Orbi Wireless Router is designed to give the best Wi-Fi coverage in large, internet dependent homes. At its cost, it is clear that this device is targeted for the upper tier in the networking market. However, I was able to use this in my apartment for Wi-Fi, as my existing router started to have many inconsistent drops and high ping latencies during speed tests or streaming video. I was surprised at how easy it was to setup considering networking products usually take a bit of troubleshooting to work right off the bat. They rarely work the first time. The Orbi, however, worked immediately! The physical product itself is felt quite unique and was a pleasant surprise. I love the style of the Orbi and its modern appearance. Inside the box, you will find the main router unit as well as one satellite to place away from the router to assist with spreading the Wi-Fi signal. The unit itself has somewhat of a rubbery feel, but it does not feel cheap. I like the oval shape as well as it sets it apart from the traditional router. On the back of both units, you will find 4 Ethernet ports for devices and one port for the internet port. There is also a USB port and a sync button. Also, the light activity on the top is pretty neat as well. The illumination is sweet! As for setup, I would like to first mention that my apartment is on the small side at around 500sq feet. The main unit itself was so powerful that the range has full bars on my phone and tablet no matter where I am. However, I went ahead and added the satellite and on the first setup, it took roughly a minute or two to discover the main router and illuminated blue. I was quite shocked since I usually do not have this type of luck with Wi-Fi setups. Moving on, I also downloaded the Netgear Genie app and was able to view all the statues with my network. I also liked the performance analysis and was able to scan the various channels for congestion. I made a simple change and it worked after 90 seconds and did not interrupt my streaming. I also fiddled with the setup on the web based setup and I like how simple the interface is. One thing I noticed, and perhaps I might have missed it, was I did not see an option to split up the SSID by frequency and have one for the 2.4 and one for 5 GHZ. Other than that this is just a minor issue. My ISP had listed the download rate at 22 MBPS and my upload was 2 MBPS. For more than a year, I did not have any issues. About 6 months ago, I started having abrupt speeds, anywhere from 5 MBPS to the full 22 MBPS. Latency on performance tests were also up and down and inconsistent. Afterwards, with only the main Orbi unit connected, I noticed the speed would hold anywhere from 20-22 MBPS hasn't dropped since. In addition, I contacted my ISP and upgraded the speed to 30 MBPS and the Orbi has been right with it. I received anywhere from 27-30 MBPS on my last few tests. This has been a life saver! In addition, once I added the satellite I did not notice any improvement as the range on the main unit has been ridiculously good. Since my apartment is so small, this was not surprising. On larger houses or apartments, I have no doubt you will see a nice improvement especially if there are dead zones in the vicinity. Also, if you have an extremely fast connection, I couldn't even fathom how great that experience would be. The Netgear Orbi Wireless router has been an essential product and I highly recommend it to households who require high performance networking. In addition, it allowed me to use it as an access point and disable the wireless on my original router and have the Orbi handle it. At its price, it might be a bit steep for some people, but I have no doubt you would be extremely satisfied by its performance. It might prove to be a networking favorite!

I knew my existing WiFi was getting quirky but oh my, I didn't know how bad until I the Orbi. My home is 2100 sqf, I put the router with the cable modem in the tv room and the satellite at the other end in the office. No dead spots and I used the WiFi out in the yard 200' away with strong signal still. Love it

This setup works sweet for my two story, approximate 3,000 square foot house. I had a high end setup from a couple years ago that stayed in one location and had good internet reception. I put one of the included Orbi towers upstairs and the wireless one downstairs. My internet reception is incredible now and works good from a much further distance.

Purchased this product after much online research and very happy I did. Easy to setup, tremendous difference in coverage / signal strength compared to my previous setup (wifi extenders). Flawlessly streams Ultra 4k video. Also, all my Hue lights (11) and Sonos speakers (8) easily recognized and joined the Orbi network with no problems at all.
