My printer kept losing its wireless connection and my grandson had to keep reestablishing the connection. He suggested these as a way to hard-wire it without having to run an actual line through the attic and put holes in the walls. They work perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with them! It’s nice to know I can now print things without worrying about whether or not the printer will work!

Bought these to run a fast connection upstairs. Our cable modem wi-fi is at the extreme opposite end of the house. Working great. It's supporting my upstairs Netgear access point, and a helium hotspot connected straight through. They're almost stupidly easy to use. Just plug them in and attach cables.

We were having a lot of issues with our wireless signal in our apartment due to the location of our router. Our internet provider recommended purchasing this so we could hard wire our in home electronics. I’ve since purchased 2 sets of these to run our home office internet and our entertainment center. Working from home and streaming our TV shows has never been better.

A lot easier than fishing Ethernet through the walls/floor. Got up to 400mb download speeds.

This is an awesome product that allows you to create hardline extensions throughout your house/building using existing electrical wiring. Much cheaper and more efficient and having to create an entire wireless network/hub extension that has less hardlines available. Very easy to set up and secure.

Fixed latency issues while online gaming. My router is upstairs and my gaming setup is downstairs on wifi i would get fast speeds but it was inconsistent not with this device.

This works fine provided you don’t have to use it in an out-building, where additional sub-panel electrical boxes are in use. I tried using this in our out buildings, ensuring I stayed on the same electrical leg, but it would not work at all. As long as you don’t have to go through any additional sub-panels, it works great.

Only 10-25% of bandwidth, not 2Gbps!

A good idea, but misleading. The devices work as advertised but they never achieve 2,000 Mbps. The noise in the power lines and other considerations mean you only get 10-25% of maximum bandwidth. (Google it, it is a known limitation). So I have 300Mbps at my router. I get 150Mbps maximum out of the P2000 Powerline. Considering I wanted to use these in favor of wires hanging from the rafters, it's a losing proposition. I might as well use my WiFi. And at $60 each ($120 for the pair) it's not a good deal. BTW: I bought 4 units for $240 total. So sad.

I got this product because I had extremely fast internet service in my house due to my online gaming but my video security system would slow down the WiFi . I had to figure out how to go Ethernet since my modem was in another room and this was the fix for me . I plan on. Buying another one for another room in my house shortly . Great product , I suggest you invest in these .

Works very well, but there is NO PoE functionality

Product works surprisingly well. I have the two devices on separate circuits, about 75ft physical distance away, and am getting super reliable, stable data transmission. I intended to use this in conjunction with a Wireless AP that was pretty unreliably meshing, so wanted to do something more "hard wired." It works very well for that situation. HOWEVER, the Best Buy description claims this product has 2 PoE ports. It does NOT. None of the literature included with the product or on Netgear's website state PoE functionality. Just for fun, I connected a few PoE devices and confirmed these are not PoE ports. I'm not deducting any points for this since it's Best Buy's inaccuracy and not the product's. The product works very well and the pass-through outlet was great for the PoE injector I needed to use for the Wireless AP.

I am very surprised at these units. I had the older single port and needed an additional network connection to a different part of the house. I was surprised that these could see the old and simply extended the network. Plus there are 2 ports. Additional speed and an extra port, makes this a better unit then the older set I had. Although the all work well together.

In all fairness, I can't knock the NETGEAR Powerline 2000 for something that was my responsibility to take a look at. I'll explain. Be sure to take a look at the breakers in your circuit breaker box. If they're anything like ours, they're all rated to 15 amps. Believe it or not, each of these devices -- not both in total -- requires 15 amps to work properly. That is a huge load that you're adding to whatever circuit you have in your house. In comparison, the typical "brick" power supply for a laptop is rated at something in the range of 1.5 amps. That said, after attempting to test the units for usage, I repeatedly tripped certain breakers in our house. Since this is a non-starter for us, we will be returning the devices that otherwise are likely quite workable. Again, not a knock against NETGEAR, but rather, a self-knock to not read the electrical specifications closely enough to make sure that our in-house wiring could handle the load.

Very easy to set up and use, love that there is now 2 extensions for lan cables and a plug so you can use the plug you lose with the adapter.
