So I bought this item to enable to transfer internet out to my garage about 150 feet from the house. I use Google Home Wifi Mesh Routers and set up was incredibly simple. I plugged them in with a wifi point on each side of the powerline and was able top get 80mpbs in the garage and approximately 100pbps in the house. After just under 2 months I went out to my garage and the Powerline out there had just stopped working. No lights come on at all, tried all the trouble shooting tips and nothing. Was over the 15 days so couldn't take it back to bestbuy. Contacted NetGear warranty support. Parts of their website wont load after trying multiple browsers and different computers. Had to call in and was given a link to access to initiate the return. Link in email does not load in browser. Required to pay for shipping and either pay more for a simultaneous transfer $13-$30 with a 3-5 or 2-3 business day wait. Or ship at own expense and have new item returned after they receive and process. Have never experienced an item just die like this for no reason and to have a networking device quit and be unable to access internet from that location for several days is not what I would expect from a reputable company. There were other powerline network options and I would have used a different one had I known that NetGear are not reliable and do not stand behind their products. Exchanges due to products just stopping to work should be 90 days and not 15. Should not have to deal with warranty support for something that breaks like this did.

Very niche case product that seems to work very well. Perfect for college students in apartments without any accessible ethernet ports in their rooms.

We have a garage/mancave behind our house and an access point on the back of the house wasn’t cutting it. Thanks to the great suggestion from the young man at BB this worked like a charm. Plug one in at the home router and the other in the back garage. Install another router and we have great WiFi service back there!

Works great, plug and play. Internet didn’t work in a metal garage plugged in Netgear now it works great.

It’s working! Needed to boost our WiFi so it could reach our Generac generator outside. This was the ticket. Installation by the Geek Squad was great.

Speed is slow, but very stable ping, just what i need

This item probably works well in a large house; however, I have an outbuilding on an electrical sub panel. The signal was too weak to provide service. Best Buy reps at the store gave me a better option that seems to work much better.

Although I haven't maximize use yet, it appears to be a good product.

Get the Google Wifi instead of this. This isn't worth it

Avoid this device if you are looking for fast connection speeds. Here are my general observations before I return my Powerline 2000 to BestBuy. Using Speedtest.net for all speeds... Connecting my computer directly to my modem --- 930 Mbps Connecting to the modem via WiFi (eero 6 dual-band mesh Wi-Fi 6 router) --- 285 Mbps Connecting via the Powerline 2000 --- 130 Mbps Connection via Powerline 2000 after doing factory reset --- 119 Mbps I know you can't really trust marketing information, but this thing doesn't even come close to anything advertised on the box or website. Since it is only 2 days old, I will be returning it. Hopefully, BestBuy will give us a full refund. The point of this post.... Buyer beware......

Horrible product, the one thing they don’t tell you is that they need to be plugged in on the same circuit. If not then they won’t work and in matter a fact slow your internet even more for gaming.

Absolutely the worst $100 dollars I spent!!! This think only gave me 80bps service. My WIFI was better at 885kps! I tried to return it after 3 weeks and they said I will have to contact support and return it by mail because I didn't buy it in the store. It is because of this service I will probably never shop Best Buy again and I am still in the market for a new receiver and to replace a Bose Acoustimass15 set.

Not any better then wifi. Wifi actually had a stronger signal then this crap .

I connected this device to my Netgear Nighthawk. The power line 2000 caused the Nighthawk to have intermittent wireless. Further, the speed was 80% less than wireless! The Powerline 2000 is a waste of money.
