Did not work for what I wanted. It does work but is significantly slower than wired connection.

I have gigabit fiber to my newly-constructed house, but there's a problem with the ethernet wiring in the house. These connect reliably from the ISP demarcation point to the router in my house. Don't expect the advertised 2Gbps speed; I expect that is under ideal laboratory bench conditions. Speeds from my garage to my office run about 120Mbps. If the units are connected in the same room, I get about 300Mbps.

Power lines are very hot or miss. It depends on the wiring in your house. Luckily when connected to the powerline I get the same amount download and upload speed I would get if using a normal Ethernet. Ping in games is also ver good with barley any difference compared to being wired to a router.

this is the best for houses! my modem is 2 rooms over my computer and I always had either extremely poor signal or the mess of the long lan cable, with this all was solve I got a good connection and no mess, and best of all I can move it around the same circuit of plugs. I recommend this to anyone who have problems with signals or really don't want a extra cable around the room.

I have used NETGEAR Powerlines for around 15+ years. Recently, upgraded to a new ISP with faster speeds and upgraded to the Powerline 2000--I couldn't be happier. The computer in my office now has very fast internet and network access...the only thing slowing down the signal is the age of the electrical wiring in the house. Find Netgear easy to use and the only wish they had made the top of the units a bit shorter, so they wouldn't cover both plugs.

This provides an easy way to create a wired network by just using to outlets. It saved us from having to go through the expense and hassle of running cabling over 150 feet. It was simple to install. Once in a while it hangs up so you have to unplug it and plug it back in.

Followed the instructions and linked the home office computer across the house with the router in the living room. After making sure all the cables were fully inserted I had a link and network access. No noticeable drop in bandwidth. Interestingly, the nighthawk app doesn't detect adapters but treats it just like a hardline connection. Now that I see how easy it is to use I might buy another set for the Xbox in my bedroom instead of relying on n the wifi.

I was a little worried about how well this would work out, from reading a lot of reviews, but I think this is just one of those things you have to simply try out in your house since everyone's circumstances are different. For me, this worked perfectly for getting my son's XBox setup with a 100% reliable internet connection. Way better than wireless for us. Yes it's expensive but worth it to no longer have complaints about lag when he's playing multiplayer.

My home office was not receiving a strong enough wifi signal for me to be productive while working from home. I do a little research, and I find out that BestBuy had just what I needed. So I purchase the Powerline 2000, which were very easy to install, setup and now I'm hardwired with amazing speeds.

This product was easy to set up. It performed exactly as intended. We always had sketchy WiFi transmission from the modem to the farthest part of the house. With the move to working from home this became an issue. Within minutes of bringing this into the house, it was set up and delivering high quality, high speed data to the new home office. Been using it a month and still operating as well. No problems at all. I have already recommended it to friends and family.

Very fast for sure. I get 100 mbs sometimes a little more. Had to dock a star because the design actually blocks the upper outlet. A two prong plug is all you will get above it. Without the pass through port you cannot connect anything with the standard three prong plug. Absolutely a poor design.

So far our Netgear-Powerline2000=extra outlet has met and exceeded our expectations. It provides the speed we need and it is so great not having to run an ethernet cord from our router to our bedroom. Plus I am getting so much more speed than connecting via wi-fi.

A little pricey, but does its job more than well. Your mileage will vary depending on the quality of your house's power wiring, but for me its a great compromise between the convenience of WIFI and the stability of ethernet. Would totally recommend if you need a more stable internet connection but aren't willing to route wires through all of your walls.

I love this product. Thank you to the Best Buy employee who lead me to these. Eliminated the need for me to run cables all across the wall or move my tv where I didn’t want it. Just plug these into one outlet where your router is and then one where the modem is and works seemlessly! They also make them so you don’t loose a power outlet, you can plug anything into the product that is plugged into the wall. Genious idea!

I would recommend it for hooking to a 4K TV if you don't have a good Wi-Fi signal, it will do the trick... but I would not recommend it for a computer if you're trying to get the absolute maximum speed out of it... Wi-Fi was actually faster on 5 GHz in my case from one room away. With fast Wi-Fi I was able to get 300megabit out of the thousand megabit internet that I pay for. With this device, I was able to get 150 megabit... so at close range, Wi-Fi will still be twice as fast or better... but for long distances... this would probably be better than Wi-Fi.
