Being forced to work from home required me to look for solutions to take my laptop off of wifi. I was experiencing extreme lag on Zoom calls, while browsing, and uploading/downloading files. My house hold has ten plus devices connected to Wi-Fi including, solar, external cameras and security system to name a few...a single extender no longer did the trick. I now have my work laptop and ps4 connected with excellent results and no problems for 3 months now!

I thought That I would have to have to move my home office area because my router was in another room and my employer mandated that I be hard wired and not use wifi. Super easy installation from a novice. Okay, so I had to unplug and replug once or twice but all in all, this is awesome! Who knew you could hard wire from an outlet? Not me :) Excellent purchase, would and probably will buy again.

If you need to hook a computer to your internet via an ethernet cable, these are perfect! We have a home office and were running a 20 ft ethernet cable out from one room, into the hallway, and back into the office so as not to drill a hole through walls or floors. After being told, "nope, you aren't putting holes in the walls," I found these little nuggets on Best Buy's site. It comes with two pieces (I'll call them plugs), and two cables. You simply plug one of them into a power outlet near your router, and using the included (short) cable, you connect it to your router. Then you go to the place where you need your computer connected, and plug the other piece into a power outlet near your computer. You can use the second (included) cable to connect your computer to this plug, but if you need a longer cable to go between your computer and plug, you can use any ethernet cable. There is a button on the bottom of each plug that you may have to hold for about two seconds for it to recognize the connection. Long story short, it worked like a charm. Oh, the outlet you see on each piece - I haven't tested both, but one of mine doesn't work. It wasn't worth going through the hassle of returning it since I didn't need that extra outlet anyway.

Not going to lie, didn't know what to expect when I purchased especially with the reason the purchase. I bought it because the House I recently bought and moved into did not have an ethernet plug in the area that became the office space. It was extremely easy to set up, and gives the exact amount of internet signal to the office allowing for the computer to then be plugged in via an ethernet plug. Would 100 percent recommend this to a friend. Have had zero issues .

I live in apartment so I can't run ethernet cables through the walls I thought I would give these a shot since I have heard of this technology for sometime. I thought it would be very unreliable, but they shocked me. The kept a consistent upload and download pace with no drops. I was doubtful because my grid is an apartment building shared. It did not disappoint.

Found a great alternative solution to running wire

I needed to bring the internet into my detached garage so I stumbled upon this great solution. I chose this because it uses the power lines to transmit and carry the signal to the receiver. It has two Ethernet ports available. I took one and added a wireless access point in the garage and now I'm rocking a continuous 50+mb in the garage which is good enough to stream. If you're looking for a cheap easy alternative solution instead of running 200' of cable then give this product a try.

Bought these powerline adapters to hook up in my sons third floor bedroom. He’s far from the router. He went from WiFi download speeds of around 15-20mbps to 75mbps hardwired with these plug in adapters. We pay for 100mbps download speeds. They worked so good I ended up buying a 2nd two pack to hook one up to my Xbox that was a ways from the router and in a different part of the house, again worked flawless and has for the last two weeks. Have zero complaints about these units. They work awesome.

Looks like our wifi range is fairly small. So our new office won't get a strong, consistent signal. Rather than running cable through the attic, this was the easiest no-brainer solution. Simple plug and play, it works immediately. CAT ethernet cable keeps upgrading, meaning anything permanent could be outdated easily. So using powerline gives us flexibility and convenience. This latest product even adds an outlet to supplement the one it uses. I love this thing!

This product is great as long as your plugin outlets are on the same breaker line. We went through 4 of these thinking the product was bad but learned later from other reviews on another site that the plugin outlets have to be on the same breaker switch. This is not mentioned in the instructions or specifications or from the manufacturer as of today on this website or inside the product box. So buyer beware when purchasing this product. My dad is mechanically inclined and understands electrical stuff ( not me ). When we connected (before knowing the information) it worked for about two weeks and then it would just stop. The 4th purchase did the same as the first purchase but the two in between didn’t work at all. No power, no green lights. My dad tested the outlet (again before we knew the problem) and it had power. But the adapter was not receiving any power. So we ended up buying the Actiontec - Bonded MoCA 2.0 Wired Network Adapter (2-Pack) from Best Buy. Works amazingly well. Our coaxials are on the same power line. We connected upstairs to downstairs and now have 3 people using ethernet downstairs. The coax adapter works very well for us not the plugin adapter.

The Powerline 2000 is easy to set up and install. Works great, does exactly what it designed to do. The one drawback is the length of the included ethernet cables - they are only 3 feet long. When going from an outlet near the floor up to a device on a desk or a tv, 3 feet is not long enough. Fortunately I had other, longer cables that I could use.

This is an easy way to establish a hardwired internet connection using your power-lines/outlets in your home. I really like using existing electrical wiring and outlets, eliminating the need to run CAT5 cable. This purchase was an upgrade for my previous NETGEAR units that I purchased years ago. I did a Speed Test on the NETGEAR - Powerline 2000 units and it was exceptional. These are an exceptional buy.

Solid product! Work very well in environments with a lot of frequencies. Literally, plug and play. The only reason I am giving it four stars is that it's lacking control. I would buy this again.
