Easy To Use - Very Effective
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an easy way to establish a hardwired internet connection using your power-lines/outlets in your home. I really like using existing electrical wiring and outlets, eliminating the need to run CAT5 cable. This purchase was an upgrade for my previous NETGEAR units that I purchased years ago. I did a Speed Test on the NETGEAR - Powerline 2000 units and it was exceptional. These are an exceptional buy.

Just what I needed.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son who is a gamer was hardwiring his PS4 from his bedroom to our family room where our router was located. I guess when you are a serious gamer a hard wire is best. This was the easiest solution and he has no complaints with it. He says it works just as good when he was running the cable across the family room. It was easy to set up only took a few minutes. Everyone’s happy now!!

Never worked for us
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is great as long as your plugin outlets are on the same breaker line. We went through 4 of these thinking the product was bad but learned later from other reviews on another site that the plugin outlets have to be on the same breaker switch. This is not mentioned in the instructions or specifications or from the manufacturer as of today on this website or inside the product box. So buyer beware when purchasing this product. My dad is mechanically inclined and understands electrical stuff ( not me ). When we connected (before knowing the information) it worked for about two weeks and then it would just stop. The 4th purchase did the same as the first purchase but the two in between didn’t work at all. No power, no green lights. My dad tested the outlet (again before we knew the problem) and it had power. But the adapter was not receiving any power. So we ended up buying the Actiontec - Bonded MoCA 2.0 Wired Network Adapter (2-Pack) from Best Buy. Works amazingly well. Our coaxials are on the same power line. We connected upstairs to downstairs and now have 3 people using ethernet downstairs. The coax adapter works very well for us not the plugin adapter.

Great product with one drawback
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Powerline 2000 is easy to set up and install. Works great, does exactly what it designed to do. The one drawback is the length of the included ethernet cables - they are only 3 feet long. When going from an outlet near the floor up to a device on a desk or a tv, 3 feet is not long enough. Fortunately I had other, longer cables that I could use.

Very Happy Customer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far our Netgear-Powerline2000=extra outlet has met and exceeded our expectations. It provides the speed we need and it is so great not having to run an ethernet cord from our router to our bedroom. Plus I am getting so much more speed than connecting via wi-fi.

Great and easy to set up
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great but definitely depends on your power in your house, if you don’t want to run Ethernet cables all over I would buy

1971 house. 1gb internet , got 150 out of it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would recommend it for hooking to a 4K TV if you don't have a good Wi-Fi signal, it will do the trick... but I would not recommend it for a computer if you're trying to get the absolute maximum speed out of it... Wi-Fi was actually faster on 5 GHz in my case from one room away. With fast Wi-Fi I was able to get 300megabit out of the thousand megabit internet that I pay for. With this device, I was able to get 150 megabit... so at close range, Wi-Fi will still be twice as fast or better... but for long distances... this would probably be better than Wi-Fi.

Easy fast effective!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Need a quick way to make a device work without direct line of sight on WiFi or without spending hundreds of dollars on whole house WiFi? This is a good medium priced entry point for any device that needs an extra kick of speed because it’s like an extension cord for your network cable to directly plug into the router! Using house electric wires it actually does just that!!

Slower than Wi-Fi
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this in am attempt to improve speeds in a room that can't access ethernet. Speeds were running in the 150-175 mbps range via wi-fi, but was hoping for faster speeds for online PC gaming. After installing, these dropped speeds down into the 50-60 mbps. Tried multiple ethernet cords (both cat5e and cat6), but nothing improved the speeds. Can't write the product off entirely, because maybe it improves speeds for those with weaker wi-fi (<50 mbps) at greater distances, it just didn't work for my application. Also worth noting, the plug is also large enough that it's mostly going to block any 2nd outlet, so this will force an outlet to become single access. Can't recommend because it doesn't come anywhere close to being gigabit, but can't say "it doesn't work" either.

Work as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had problems with first generation WiFi speakers connecting with the TV. Connection was fine but there was a lag and speakers would sometimes not been detected. I have an Orbi router with satellite and could tell that the router was not the problem. I would say was the antenas from the speakers. Since I installed this product I feed lan internet directly to two speakers and the lag has reduced almost totally. Totally recommended

Netgear Powerline boosts wifi signal the best way
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After trying to boost our Wi-Fi signal to reach the whole house with different routers unsuccessfully I was told to try this product which transfers the signal from the electric outlet where the ethernet cable is plugged in from the incoming source and the house electric perfectly carries the signal to the other outlet where devices can be connected with the other ethernet cable. No more marginal and fair signals! Perfect!

Awesome product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wife works from home and needed a hard line connection. We added one to our router and the other in her office and it had been great! Have not had any dropped connection or issues. Have been using for over 5 months no issue. Told my dad about it he bought one and loves it. Power lines kind of fly under the radar for alternative ways to get Ethernet connections but they are awesome. Would give 10 stars if I could. Great product!

Working Great with PC and XBoxOne
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We live in a 2,000 sq ft home. Our router is on the east side and my Son's room is on the opposite west side (as far away from the router as possible). So far its working great. In use for a month and had to reboot/unplug only twice. 2 tips: make sure the outlets you want to use are on the same circuit and press the "secure button" (step in install instructions) before your first use.

Internet Connectivity Throughout the House
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a smart TV that was too far from our WiFi router to connect reliably to the web over WiFi. This product solved the problem relatively simply. The setup instructions were clear. It took a couple of reboots to get things working; but, with a little persistence, everything worked fine. We also used the product to reduce the packet latency for a gaming computer, improving the quality of play.
