We were having a lot of issues with our wireless signal in our apartment due to the location of our router. Our internet provider recommended purchasing this so we could hard wire our in home electronics. I’ve since purchased 2 sets of these to run our home office internet and our entertainment center. Working from home and streaming our TV shows has never been better.

My printer kept losing its wireless connection and my grandson had to keep reestablishing the connection. He suggested these as a way to hard-wire it without having to run an actual line through the attic and put holes in the walls. They work perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with them! It’s nice to know I can now print things without worrying about whether or not the printer will work!

Works for the most part. Sometimes it will try to deliver 50mb when I have 1 gigabit service when running 3 adapters.

Unfortunately, this worked but was still to slow for my xbox. If I only needed 40 mb it would have been fine but I was hoping it would give me over a 100. Its supposed to be up to a gig but 40 was the fastest speed I got. Your homes electrical plays a larg part on if this works or not and i guess my house wasnt a good fit for it.

This works fine provided you don’t have to use it in an out-building, where additional sub-panel electrical boxes are in use. I tried using this in our out buildings, ensuring I stayed on the same electrical leg, but it would not work at all. As long as you don’t have to go through any additional sub-panels, it works great.

Works very well, but there is NO PoE functionality

Product works surprisingly well. I have the two devices on separate circuits, about 75ft physical distance away, and am getting super reliable, stable data transmission. I intended to use this in conjunction with a Wireless AP that was pretty unreliably meshing, so wanted to do something more "hard wired." It works very well for that situation. HOWEVER, the Best Buy description claims this product has 2 PoE ports. It does NOT. None of the literature included with the product or on Netgear's website state PoE functionality. Just for fun, I connected a few PoE devices and confirmed these are not PoE ports. I'm not deducting any points for this since it's Best Buy's inaccuracy and not the product's. The product works very well and the pass-through outlet was great for the PoE injector I needed to use for the Wireless AP.

Omg - i forgot to review this when I got them - its been awhile - works GREAT - for what I am doing - not heavy INTERNET download or anything - but works great for ‘normal’ use - may buy more outlets for additional uses - way easier than running cable

I got this product because I had extremely fast internet service in my house due to my online gaming but my video security system would slow down the WiFi . I had to figure out how to go Ethernet since my modem was in another room and this was the fix for me . I plan on. Buying another one for another room in my house shortly . Great product , I suggest you invest in these .

In all fairness, I can't knock the NETGEAR Powerline 2000 for something that was my responsibility to take a look at. I'll explain. Be sure to take a look at the breakers in your circuit breaker box. If they're anything like ours, they're all rated to 15 amps. Believe it or not, each of these devices -- not both in total -- requires 15 amps to work properly. That is a huge load that you're adding to whatever circuit you have in your house. In comparison, the typical "brick" power supply for a laptop is rated at something in the range of 1.5 amps. That said, after attempting to test the units for usage, I repeatedly tripped certain breakers in our house. Since this is a non-starter for us, we will be returning the devices that otherwise are likely quite workable. Again, not a knock against NETGEAR, but rather, a self-knock to not read the electrical specifications closely enough to make sure that our in-house wiring could handle the load.

Set up was super fast, seems to work well. Plugs need to be dedicated to the devices plugged in. They cover one of the plugs rendering it unusable. I knew that before purchasing, so not a huge issue, the plug thru helps make the plug usable with a power strip.

I am very surprised at these units. I had the older single port and needed an additional network connection to a different part of the house. I was surprised that these could see the old and simply extended the network. Plus there are 2 ports. Additional speed and an extra port, makes this a better unit then the older set I had. Although the all work well together.

It works, providing an ethernet connection through a household power outlet. My internet speed is dramatically faster than with the wifi connection I was using. The Adapter needs to be plugged into a wall outlet but it covers both sockets in the outlet so I plugged a power strip/surge protector into the pass thru outlet in the Adapter. However, if you turn the powerstrip off, the indicator light on the front of the Adapter will flash continuously...all night long... Very annoying in a bedroom. Trying to submit a support ticket to get answers was unsuccessful and when they told me to call in for "Level 2 Support", there were long periods of "perpetual hold" where no one from "Level 2" ever would pick up the call or call me back when I was "accidentally disconnected". In the end, I solved the problem with a piece of electrical tape over the flashing light. So... good product but don't count on tech support.

I needed a way to hard wire my office equipment to the internet. This was recommended since my router was not in the same room as my equipment & I didn't want to run a long cable to my office. I have 500 Mbs service and this was supposed to be able to do 1gig. I ran a speed test with this device and it was 200Mbs less than when I am hooked directly to the router. I would expect some loss, but with it supposed to be able to handle 1gig, I did not expect that much loss. Other than that, it works great p

Purchased and had directTv installed in additional bedroom needed internet connection to genie. This item has two plugs. One plugged into living room and router. The other plug inserted in bedroom outlet and connection made through wiring. Plugged Ethernet cable from plug to directTv genie.. worked great for 4K access.

Surprised at how easy the setup was and that it actually works over the power lines. This was a great purchase to relieve my congested WiFi network. I plug in my Roku TVs and AIO printer. Note that sensitive TVs may have slight interference (digital "flicker") with the data throughput over the power lines. Would have liked for this to also be a WiFi extender.
