It works but don't count on tech support

It works, providing an ethernet connection through a household power outlet. My internet speed is dramatically faster than with the wifi connection I was using. The Adapter needs to be plugged into a wall outlet but it covers both sockets in the outlet so I plugged a power strip/surge protector into the pass thru outlet in the Adapter. However, if you turn the powerstrip off, the indicator light on the front of the Adapter will flash continuously...all night long... Very annoying in a bedroom. Trying to submit a support ticket to get answers was unsuccessful and when they told me to call in for "Level 2 Support", there were long periods of "perpetual hold" where no one from "Level 2" ever would pick up the call or call me back when I was "accidentally disconnected". In the end, I solved the problem with a piece of electrical tape over the flashing light. So... good product but don't count on tech support.

Surprised at how easy the setup was and that it actually works over the power lines. This was a great purchase to relieve my congested WiFi network. I plug in my Roku TVs and AIO printer. Note that sensitive TVs may have slight interference (digital "flicker") with the data throughput over the power lines. Would have liked for this to also be a WiFi extender.

Purchased and had directTv installed in additional bedroom needed internet connection to genie. This item has two plugs. One plugged into living room and router. The other plug inserted in bedroom outlet and connection made through wiring. Plugged Ethernet cable from plug to directTv genie.. worked great for 4K access.

I was hesitant at first and wondered if I should just run Ethernet cables thru my whole house just to get my son a solid internet connection. But these guys saved me time, effort and money. They offer a pretty solid connection. He hasn’t complained. And he is a light gamer though. Not sure how well these will do for heavy gamers since they need more bandwidth

I was having a slower wifi connection for my Twitch stream and my wife didn’t want me running an Ethernet cable across our front room to where my desk is, so I picked this up and it has been working great! Much better constant bitrate and speeds along with connection are much more stable. My only complaint is that the specs clearly list that this has 2 POE ports on the unit but they are definitely not POE. Big bummer when I was attempting to work from home in a pinch thinking that I had all the things I needed and my phone wouldn’t turn on! Other than that, this is a lifesaver.

    Great solution vs just WiFi

Personally, I don't trust an all WiFi setup, especially working from home and hard wires are actually required for the work computers for my wife and I. The AT&T router access point is so stupidly placed that running wires directly from the router itself is an impossibility. That's where powerline adapters come in. The Ethernet connection is much more consistent than WiFi signals and don't suffer signal loss/dropoffs like WiFi is known to do from time to time. The only issue I have with this set is that I bought two of these pairs. For some reason, I cannot get the fourth one to even function regardless of which unit I try; only three total work. I cannot find any solution online for this issue.

I bought these with hoping to increase my download/ upload speeds on my PS4. The console is in my living room as well as my router. They are on opposite walls so a wired connection seemed impossible. I pay for 200mbps download speeds. I was getting 35 mbps at my console. I’m now getting 185-195 download. Great purchase

Works most of the time but not sure if it has to do with my house or the system. No real good way to check. Also i still have some problems with gaming even with higher speeds making me wonder about if my packets are sending at the shown speed.

You follow the instructions, plug everything in and it just works. Apple products should work this well if you believe their marketing. The network speed is fast and there was no significant latency increase in online games. You have the ability to add 2 devices at the "remote" location.

I bought this to replace an older unit {by another mfr.) that was failing. Decent feature set at a good price. I like that it has the pass through power outlet. My only complaint is that it's so tall, it blocks the outlet above it so even with the pass through outlet, you're still down an outlet. Overall it performs well and is able to handle our current 100Mbps service with little / no drop in speed.

I had a small spot in the house that had real trouble getting signal from our wireless router. Needed a good signal for gaming and not lagging. Tried a bridge with not much luck. Tried another signal booster with no luck. Bought this Netgear Powerline and now have no issues getting signal. Perfect ping times and max bandwidth like it is beside the router now.

I have a good wireless router but sometimes if you use something in between like a hair dryer the signal gets lost or weaker and if you like to game online that is a big problem. I installed these two included adapters ,one to the cable modem and the other on the closest power outlet to my pc. and I never have any lag or lost internet connection anymore

I needed a way to hard wire my office equipment to the internet. This was recommended since my router was not in the same room as my equipment & I didn't want to run a long cable to my office. I have 500 Mbs service and this was supposed to be able to do 1gig. I ran a speed test with this device and it was 200Mbs less than when I am hooked directly to the router. I would expect some loss, but with it supposed to be able to handle 1gig, I did not expect that much loss. Other than that, it works great p

I love this thing. It’s allowed me to put hardwired internet in my office far from my modem. The speed is always consistent and for this price, we’ll worth it instead of drilling or stapling a cable all throughout my house to get to my office.

Best thing I’ve bought. My router/modem doesn’t reach far devices so my internet speed on my computers were slow. I bought this and connected my both pcs and it improved my speed by a lot. I was getting 10mbps and now it’s up to 110mbps. My internet plan is with xfinity at 600mbps and I have a lot of devices connected.

I've been using the original version of these for many years and wanted an upgrade and more speed. I am extremely pleased at the ease with which these immediately connected and the speed of the signal. They are expensive but definitely worth it. I am extremely pleased with this product.

Wireless is great and i understand the need to promote newer routers but sometimes you just need to hard wire 1 thing. This works perfectly and doesn't need additional passwords and getting into range. 10/10

Absolutely amazing! Comes with everything you need and very simple to install. Not sure which kind of witchcraft Netgear used but it was the right kind. My son uses it for online gaming for his PC and hasn’t complained yet, he’s 13 btw. Well worth the money.

Haven't actually installed or removed cords, however, this product is designed to make it easy to do just like a landline phone, so I like it. Although this product is behind the things plugged into it and therefore is not seen, I'm surprised it is white instead of black.
