Surprised at how easy the setup was and that it actually works over the power lines. This was a great purchase to relieve my congested WiFi network. I plug in my Roku TVs and AIO printer. Note that sensitive TVs may have slight interference (digital "flicker") with the data throughput over the power lines. Would have liked for this to also be a WiFi extender.

Very easy to set up and use, love that there is now 2 extensions for lan cables and a plug so you can use the plug you lose with the adapter.

In all fairness, I can't knock the NETGEAR Powerline 2000 for something that was my responsibility to take a look at. I'll explain. Be sure to take a look at the breakers in your circuit breaker box. If they're anything like ours, they're all rated to 15 amps. Believe it or not, each of these devices -- not both in total -- requires 15 amps to work properly. That is a huge load that you're adding to whatever circuit you have in your house. In comparison, the typical "brick" power supply for a laptop is rated at something in the range of 1.5 amps. That said, after attempting to test the units for usage, I repeatedly tripped certain breakers in our house. Since this is a non-starter for us, we will be returning the devices that otherwise are likely quite workable. Again, not a knock against NETGEAR, but rather, a self-knock to not read the electrical specifications closely enough to make sure that our in-house wiring could handle the load.

Omg - i forgot to review this when I got them - its been awhile - works GREAT - for what I am doing - not heavy INTERNET download or anything - but works great for ‘normal’ use - may buy more outlets for additional uses - way easier than running cable

Purchased and had directTv installed in additional bedroom needed internet connection to genie. This item has two plugs. One plugged into living room and router. The other plug inserted in bedroom outlet and connection made through wiring. Plugged Ethernet cable from plug to directTv genie.. worked great for 4K access.

Set up was super fast, seems to work well. Plugs need to be dedicated to the devices plugged in. They cover one of the plugs rendering it unusable. I knew that before purchasing, so not a huge issue, the plug thru helps make the plug usable with a power strip.

I was hesitant at first and wondered if I should just run Ethernet cables thru my whole house just to get my son a solid internet connection. But these guys saved me time, effort and money. They offer a pretty solid connection. He hasn’t complained. And he is a light gamer though. Not sure how well these will do for heavy gamers since they need more bandwidth

It works, providing an ethernet connection through a household power outlet. My internet speed is dramatically faster than with the wifi connection I was using. The Adapter needs to be plugged into a wall outlet but it covers both sockets in the outlet so I plugged a power strip/surge protector into the pass thru outlet in the Adapter. However, if you turn the powerstrip off, the indicator light on the front of the Adapter will flash continuously...all night long... Very annoying in a bedroom. Trying to submit a support ticket to get answers was unsuccessful and when they told me to call in for "Level 2 Support", there were long periods of "perpetual hold" where no one from "Level 2" ever would pick up the call or call me back when I was "accidentally disconnected". In the end, I solved the problem with a piece of electrical tape over the flashing light. So... good product but don't count on tech support.

You follow the instructions, plug everything in and it just works. Apple products should work this well if you believe their marketing. The network speed is fast and there was no significant latency increase in online games. You have the ability to add 2 devices at the "remote" location.

I bought these with hoping to increase my download/ upload speeds on my PS4. The console is in my living room as well as my router. They are on opposite walls so a wired connection seemed impossible. I pay for 200mbps download speeds. I was getting 35 mbps at my console. I’m now getting 185-195 download. Great purchase

Purchased this to get some more consistent speeds in a distant room that has some interference from the Wi-Fi the speeds are consistent around 200-300mbps not as fast as I had hoped it could be that the circuit that I have it plugged into is on a different phase in the house and that is causing an issue with the speeds but I am happy with not having to run the Ethernet to this room and perhaps later I will run a dedicated line and use this in the shop

Only 10-25% of bandwidth, not 2Gbps!

A good idea, but misleading. The devices work as advertised but they never achieve 2,000 Mbps. The noise in the power lines and other considerations mean you only get 10-25% of maximum bandwidth. (Google it, it is a known limitation). So I have 300Mbps at my router. I get 150Mbps maximum out of the P2000 Powerline. Considering I wanted to use these in favor of wires hanging from the rafters, it's a losing proposition. I might as well use my WiFi. And at $60 each ($120 for the pair) it's not a good deal. BTW: I bought 4 units for $240 total. So sad.

I had a small spot in the house that had real trouble getting signal from our wireless router. Needed a good signal for gaming and not lagging. Tried a bridge with not much luck. Tried another signal booster with no luck. Bought this Netgear Powerline and now have no issues getting signal. Perfect ping times and max bandwidth like it is beside the router now.

I have a good wireless router but sometimes if you use something in between like a hair dryer the signal gets lost or weaker and if you like to game online that is a big problem. I installed these two included adapters ,one to the cable modem and the other on the closest power outlet to my pc. and I never have any lag or lost internet connection anymore

Best thing I’ve bought. My router/modem doesn’t reach far devices so my internet speed on my computers were slow. I bought this and connected my both pcs and it improved my speed by a lot. I was getting 10mbps and now it’s up to 110mbps. My internet plan is with xfinity at 600mbps and I have a lot of devices connected.
