We had changed ISP providers and we were no longer able to use Air Play because we couldn’t run an Ethernet cable from the tower to our receiver. These solved the problem!

Althpugh, my connection still dropped so I took it back to Brst Buy and was told that its more effective in newer homes. I ended up returning it and going the old school way by purchasing the cat6 cable to connect via hardwire.

Magic transmission!

Could not get a solid Wi-Fi connection downstairs on the other end of the house so I connected these (one to the router and nearby outlet and one to a Wi-Fi extender and outlet downstairs and magic! Work great and no streaming issues!

So I do not know if it works with a outlet connection.
