I was not getting a reliable wireless signal from the router upstairs so I talked to the Best Buy Geek Squad and they recommended the "Netgear Powerline 2000". Well worth the lettuce ! ( $90.00 ).I have no problem getting or staying on line now. No more aggravation. I am extremely happy with this product. Thank You !

More than doubled the Link Rate to our second floor wireless computers. obviously now it acts as a “wired connection”. My son games on line and does a lot of large file uploads and downloads for video editing and production. This was a HUGH improvement in quality and performance.

Plugs into any grounded outlet and allows transfer of data through your powerlines. While not as fast as a standard wired connection, the data transfer rates are stable and reliable for folks who need a connection in another room but don't want to run 50 feet of cabling. I would highly recommend this product.

I've been using NETGEAR AC adapters since they first became available years ago. I connected devices that did not have wireless capabilities to my router. A DVD player provides all of the abilities that a smart TV does with any screen.

This item really sends Wifi signal through the electrical lines in the home. It even worked for me through a surge protector. I didn't even have to plug it into the wall socket on one end directly. Although I imagine if you do it would even be better.

Did not work with existing Powerline 1200S set up

I was unable to get these to work. I already have Powerline 1200S installed and wanted to add these to my network. All indications from website leads one to believe there should be no issues. Instructions insinuate this should work as well. I did not call NETGEAR support for assistance, which might have resolved my issue. I couldn't get it to work with my existing Powerline 1200S set up. Also, as noted by others, this device will block the other outlet.

My son kept complaining his internet connection was trash when playing Fortnite. I was going to puck up an extender but the BB rep recommended this and it works like a charm. It uses the electric outlet to create a wired connection to your router.

I'm still getting the hang of these. Has anyone else had issues with interference with a mesh routing system while using these?

If you work remote and your router and work station are on separate ends of the house. This will help eliminate having a need for a long ethernet cord.

I needed this as i had no access to a Ethernet in my basement. I have no problems so far. Just Plug N play. Be wary though if your plugs are not on the same circuit your performance with significantly degrade. If I needed additional Ethernet ports i would buy more of this.

This item makes it possible to send fios Internet signal through house electrical wiring. Plug in one device to an outlet near your router and the other near your Smart tv, connect the Ethernet cables and you have a fast connection to the net. Great for houses with thick walls that interfere with WiFi.

I need to have wired. Ethernet in my home office to start working from home. I’m a VoIP engineer and the VoIP phones don’t use WiFi. Two minutes after unboxing the powerline units, my VoIP phones were operating! I wish I had purchased the Netgear powerline units earlier!

One unit stopped working after 30 days

I bought this just over a month ago (not returnable), and the primary unit stopped working on me. Luckily I purchased a Netgear Wireless powerline 1000 and had an extra unit from it to plug in as my primary ethernet source. It just seems I got a faulty unit...so much for six sigma manufacturing these days. The products work great otherwise in our concrete house, which is why I am giving it 3 stars rather than 1. Wifi extenders were spotty, but powerline is a wonderful solution to those with thick/concrete floors/walls. What will it take for a company to step up and offer reasonable return policies like 6 months or a year?

I purchased this to be used while house sitting. The router and modem was located upstairs in the master bedroom and we set up our gaming computer downstairs. We were able to not only play games while using this, but also stream at the same time! Exceptionally pleased with the product.

While it worked very well in some areas of the house, it did not fix our problem so we had to return it. However the previous one we bought (same everything) worked quite well.
