FIOS modem is in the basement and need to get better WiFi up to my 2nd floor. I have an older house with a new extension, Plugged both ends into the newer wiring and signal was good but as soon as an appliance came on (washing machine) the signal became terrible. After the washing machine was done the signal would not improve until the device was unplugged/replugged in. Not reliable enough, i returned and went with an outdoor rated 150' CAT 6 cable instead wiring it from my basement to my attic.

They were easy to setup and received the signal, but I had to take them back because they kept dropping the wifi signal. Didn’t work well through a lot of walls.

I recently got 1Gb Ethernet and my wireless was a bit spotty on performance in certain rooms of the house, so I picked up the Powerline 2000 to see if I could get better performance over the wires in the walls of my house. Short answer is not really. My direct ethernet performance from the modem to my desktop measured ~900Mb/s. The best performance on the Powerline that I ever saw was ~100Mb/s. But it was very stable at ~100Mb/s. Wasn't really worth $100 for that performance. Looking at a better way to improve my wireless (mesh networks).

Got it to maximize my PlayStation connection without connecting it directly to the router. Helps a little bit, definitely better than without it but sometimes the internet will still lag.

I'm not sure if it was the powerlines in my complex or if they just sucked. I returned them regardless. I live in really old apartments. I'm thinking that was my issues.

This works fine most of the time but every now and then, it slows to a crawl for some reason and you have to power cycle it for it to get back to working normal.

what do these things even do? i followed the directions, but the directions aren't very clear nor explain their use well-- absolutely no difference in my Wifi speed. Maybe i bought the wrong thing but this is what was recommended by the service provider-- AT&T, now their service is the real joke. these were very, very expensive. Now they're just paper weights.

Bought to increase internet speeds in my bedroom. There was very little difference in the speed once I got everything hooked up. Either the product doesn't work or my wifi is just that good? Lol. I also bought this version because I assumed it would only block 1 outlet that would be replaced by the one on the front. I was wrong. While it did give me one outlet on the front, it still blocks both outlets on the wall. Also, the included ethernet cables are not long enough.

This is only great if 100mbps is enough for you. I have a gigabit connection would have been satisfied if it was closer to 400 megabits per second or higher.

This is ok it’s usually more stable in a large house than the WiFi but still not as fast or as reliable as plugging directly in to the router.

This product says it will handle up to 2gbps, but I dont believe it's possible to transfer that much volume over electrical infrastructure. I have 1gig fiber service and the maximum speed I could get was 30-65mbps. I tested it on every plug in my house without any improvement. The device showed this as a "good" connection speed. How can the green light be activated at that speed?....because the product can't transfer more data than ~35mbps. Although I had wanted to have a reliable hardwired connection, my wifi connection speed is ~600mbps at the farthest room in my house. Connection stability isn't worth accepting an abysmal connection speed.
