This adapter gave me nothing but trouble. It installs fine, but inevitably after a period ranging from a few minutes to a few hours, it drops the network connection. It still detects the network, but has no internet. Unplugging and replugging it fixes the problem. Until it drops again. What starts as mild annoyance quickly changes to rage after going through the cycle a few dozen times in a single day. Some quick online research showed that this is a common problem. Contacted Netgear support to find out that while the adapter itself is technically 64-bit compatible, the drivers are not, and there are no plans to release 64-bit drivers for this product. Since 64-bit systems are now mainstream, I see this as an unforgivable defect. Apparently this is one of the better adapters out there if you are running a 32-bit operating system, but if you're running 64 like most of us these days, go with something else.

This was so easy to install and the internet was up and running on my second computer in a matter of 5 minutes.

It works perfectly fine. It did take me quite a long time to get it and the router working because I have limited knowledge about wifi systems and had not installed one previously. I had to really study the instructions and stay with it to get it working. I did not feel the instructions were that clear for someone like me with limited knowledge.

It was a pleasure to get rid of the grip of Comcast Broadband.

Used this item on vacation in a condo in Florida. It worked very well and was well worth the cost.

I bought this net gear wifi adapter to hook an old computer up to a new home router. My previous wifi adapter stopped working after I upgraded to Windows 10. The Netgear specs don't mention Windows 10 compatibility (as this type of external adapter is becoming a thing of the past)... But it ended up working great, connects every time with reasonable speeds.

Easy way to get a PC connected to a network without wires.

Other than the fact that the first one I purchased was dead on arrival and would not even power up. It is a good product. It does what is says it does and it does that well. Other than its large size and flimsy craftsmanship, it is good for the money.

I have been using for 2 years on a windows 7 machine. No problems. My sons new computer with windows 8.1 has limited connectivity problems, so I installed the netgear disk, the netgear Wi-Fi adapter and done. Now his windows 8 computer can get on the internet. I will be buying another ASAP. Also I turned on ipv6 (at router) and it also works. Now I have duel internet channels.

This item works great and we love it because it was quick and an easy set up.

Bought this to speed up my connection to my router. My old one was years old. Nothing but trouble with this one. It connects to the router fine and strong signal, but wont load web pages most of the time. Put my old one back in and no problems. But something else.
