I bought this because I have an older laptop that runs Windows XP and legacy software. I wanted a modern WiFi card that I could use. Netgear still supports Windows XP, and it is very easy to set up in less than five minutes.

the network card in my wife's laptop kept dropping the connection with the new ATT Uverse router. All other PC's and phones worked fine. Disabled the internal card and now use this USB device and it always connects and stays connected!

I was happy to get this device, as my old (4.5 year old) laptop lost its ability to connect wirelessly. It does connect but it does take the better part of 2 minutes (120+ secs) to be up and usable. It ties everything up during the initial connection. The worst part is that it drops all connectivity after about 20 to 30 minutes of idle time (it varies on how long ... sometimes more sometimes a bit less). When it runs, it runs perfect and up to my FIOS 50mbps. But at times, especially during the first 10 minutes, it runs very slow (<2 mbs). I do believe it may that my laptop is "old" but who knows. This product is for someone in dire need to connect but be sure to have a newer computer.

Overall works well but for the resetting issue. Very simple the setup. Plug it in and it works. Used it to access internet on Panasonic TV. Only issue is the need to recheck internet connection each time tv is turned off to ensure it works.

Lost the internal WiFi adapter on my HP. This was a suitable alternative.

I just plugged it in and it installed really easy. Great reception and speed

Just plug this device into any USB port on your computer and your ready to surf the web. No having to open up your computer to install a board like I was expecting when I walked into the store. Simple installation that anyone can do.

My Wi-Fi card in lap top quit working and this allows me to connect.

Had some trouble with the install. After that, it works good.

Using this on an older Win Vista machine 2 floors away from router. It was very easy to set up and works great for kids homework and limited streaming. Have not tried streaming Netflix or movies, but YouTube works fine.

This is a great product for the price. I use it on a desktop which is about 40ft from the router and for the most part it works great. Occasionally the connection will drop for a bit but it's an easy fix. It's also a breeze to install.

I am happy with my purchase. The Adaptor works great and is a good value.

Does exactly what I bought it for. Can't complain in the slightest.

It was not to hard set up if you follow the instruction and it works pretty well. My internet is 25/25 up and down but when I do a speed test it only got 15/11. It tested the speed on my phone right after and got 25/23. Now here is the problem, once in a while my PC just won't pick up the stick and that could be within my PC entirely but just throwing that out there. I have to unplug and plug it back in or restart my PC for it to work. My advise is to make sure you have a USB port that is tight otherwise it won't pick up by the computer. In the end I think if you need a WiFi adapter for your desktop, get a WiFi card instead of a stick

This was a great purchase my laptop would no longer connect to wifi. The cost to repair was $200. I purchased this for under $50.00 and my problem was solved. It actually works better than the original factory component.

I am very happy with this adaptor because it allows me to be on my computer up in my bedroom while the route is down in the basement. I haven't had any problems with this since it has been installed onto my computer and it was very simple to install.

I have had this product for over a month and love it. It has always a green bar and when I run speed tests it consistently runs at speeds I was getting before I went wireless on my home PC. I would buy this product again if I had to do it over again.
