Very easy to set up and the range is great for an apartment.

I used this router as a replacement for my cable modem two and one and overall it's been okay. Connecting to it and having a strong, stable connection throughout the house is hard to find with it. That's probably due to it only being a N300. You're definitely getting with you paid for with this router no more or no less. It'd honestly be worth it to just save your money until you can afford a router like an AC1700.

Old Net Gear router needed replacing. This was a reasonable replacement based on cost and service.

Cable guy installed so I cannot attest as for the ease of installation. But it works great, I get wifi everywhere...so, mission accomplished!

This Netgear router is perfect for my small apartment. It was basically plug'n'play. All my devices, phone, tablets, FireStick, Chromecast and laptops running Windows 7 and one with Windows 10. I have no problems streaming movies; I tried 2 devices simultaneously and once started, there was no buffering. It is a cost effective router.

I bought this to replace my hot spot that I was using through my cell phone provider. I basically need internet for 2 laptops and a desktop computer. After the change back to cable internet I hooked the router up, fired up the laptop, typed in the password on the bottom of the router, and was online. No problem. When I plugged in to the desktop via an ethernet cable the computer did not find the router. It kept telling me to us the installation disc or go online to get the router software. Well, no disc came with the router and I couldn't get online because the computer didn't recognize the router. So, I plugged the internet cable directly into the computer to go online and get the software. I had to call the cable company and get them to ping my computer a couple of times. Finally got internet on the desktop. The software download was a bit confusing, but I finally did get it to save. Now back to the router. I unhooked everything then hooked back up through the router. BAM!! internet on the desktop. I then went to the laptop to get online, but the laptop couldn't find the router. Geeze!!! I'm sure I probably did something wrong, but this is not as simple as it is made out to be. I'm not a computer moron and after some fiddling around with the laptop I did get it to find the router. Now that I'm online the router works as advertised. Hate I had to waste an afternoon to get there though.

This router provides connectivity for numerous devices and has proven effective despite my residence being far away from most ISPs' central offices.
