Replacement for samr model that failed

I guess that is good for wireless routers. If you do not think the hwd should only last 3 years, then do not but this router/wireless. I was satisfied with the old router, wish that it lasted longer, but that's the way new technology is. This replacement has worked OK so far.

good wireless router for large area

The old router would cut in and out when watching movies. With the recommendation from a Best Buy salesperson we purchased the NetGear. No more delays from the wireless and it even goes through walls on a 2nd story home with metal lathe in it.
