This was a reasonably priced router. It was easy to set up and there are two bands, although I can't really tell the difference in speed between them. The genie tool/app is useful to see what devices are hooked up and for changing passwords to the network. I am disappointed that the parent controls through Open DNS are not easier to use. I have not been successful at setting up different levels of restrictions for different devices.

I have used other wireless routers that have been very unreliable. However this unit has been absolutely functional, and I think it provides very good performance at a good price. I only have two caveats (neither are actually that bad) . First, in order to "administer" the router you -MUST- be physically-plugged (via actual cable) directly into the router itself (not wirelessly, nor through other network devices). The documentation doesn't seem to explain this (I quickly found this out on my own, after a little bit of angst during set-up). This is actually a very good security feature. It prevents anyone from taking control of your router without physical-access to the device. And, second, I wished to use the wireless-router to access my established network resources (this is called AP, or "Access Point" mode). This is disabled by default (again, a very good security feature). However, the basic information-screen on the "Administration" screen shows "AP" enabled for both bands (this is a dual-band router). The problem (when it didn't seem to be working) is that the (overall) "AP" enable check-box, is actually on a different administration screen (and is disabled by default). So, it took a little searching to realize that "AP" functionality... while enabled on the basic-info screen, and independently-controllable for both bands (a really nice feature)... was actually turned-off by default (which is a good idea), but, having to enable/disable it in two entirely different places (within the"administration" screens) was a little confusing. Overall, I am extremely pleased. And now that I know about the two, little, gotchas... both, actually, providing better security... I am very happy with my router.

Has good range inside and outside of our house and was vey easy to set up. Does not take up much room.

Netgear is our favorite brand of wireless routers. They have never let us down and the are super easy to set up and get working.

Had I buy a new router because I was sick of century Link. So I bought this cox cable router. Works pretty good so far. Nothing fancy but gets the jobs done

After talking with someone in the store about this item, I reconfirmed the previous information that i had gathered on the Internet and a consumer guide purchasing magazine that I subscribe to about this product, and I can say now that I have it, that I really made a great purchase;good price, great quality, ease it to set up, what else can you ask for????

Having had to set up a router on prior occasion I was dreading the set up and it all happened with such ease. And so far working flawlessly. Lets hope it continues on this path

We have a small apartment with lots of devices draining our internet speeds. This router helped immensely! We saw an immediate difference and we haven't had any issues since!

I guess it was easy to setup, the technician did it for me but said it was one of the best routers to get. No problem so far.

This is s great wireless router that I have upstairs. Breeze to setup and connect. It was basically plug in, turn on, and connect.

This router works well for a family of five. With TV's, computers, tablets, and phones used on a regular basis there has been no problems with this device.

We are amazed at how much faster our computer is working. The kids were always complaining that our computer was slow and stalled all the time. The techs at Best Buy were very helpful in helping me choose this product and they were right on the money. I would definitely recommend this product. The cost was quite affordable too. The kids play a lot of games on the computer and I haven't heard any complaints since installing the new router.

I use this for my home WiFi and have not had any issues since I've bought it. If you're remotely close too being computer/technology savvy, you'll be ok

We have had netgear wifi for 7 years and had to get a new one because the connection was getting bad. This was pur next best purcase! Works great and easy to install!!!!

It does exactly what it should and it's just amazing! I did buy the warranty for it. But by the looks of it I won't need it. It's a really inexpensive and amazing product.

The Netgear Range Max Dual Band Wireless N Router with 4 Ethernet Ports was a huge help. My internet connection seemed to be very slow and this definitely increased the speed.

After going around with the cable company, I found myself in need of the wireless router. I picked this one to operate my XBox, Kindle, and laptop (often used at the same time). It took me about five minutes to install, and I'm not that good at such things. It comes with Genie, a program to monitor usage, security and other things. I haven't had any trouble connecting, no matter where I go in the apartment. I'm glad I made this purchase.

Needed to replace an older unit and this one is the newer model of what I had before. More compact and similar in look and operation, the installation process was a snap.

Good, basic internet router for the price. Ensure compatibility with your modem as I had some issues but were troubleshooter well. NETGEAR customer service is helpful.

I'm no techie, but the modem works fine. Easy to set up. We got it to replace an older modem (different brand) that had stopped transmitting a signal.
