Try to return after sixteen day and get a refund, I was told they wouldn't do that and even if I brought back before the fifteen days they would not take it back. Even thought one of their geek squad helped me pick it out, it did not perform very well.

I had a n300 that I replaced with 600 hoping for good range. But surprisingly haven't seen any improvement. They says it's good for large homes but it's not true. It's not enough in my largr hone.

Great WiFi Router for Multiple Connections

When I bought and set up my original wireless router about 5 years ago, we only had two desktop pc's to connect to the internet. However, with the advancing technologies of today where every device you buy has WiFi built in, we started having connectivity issues. We were up to the two desktop pc's, a laptop, 2 smartphones, a tablet, a smart tv, 2 smart Blu Ray players, and an Xbox 360. And all that's just for the people who live here. God forbid if friends or family showed up with their laptops, smart phones or tablets... I decided to look into other options for our WiFi system, and found that a dual-band wireless router should do the trick and I love NetGear products. After chatting with the guys at Best Buy, I ended up buying this router which handles all of my devices like a champ with much better connectivity and speed. There are four inputs for "hard wiring" devices, which we use for the two desk top pc's & the smart tv. The rest of the devices connect through WiFi and we have noticed an increase in speed across the board. The router was very easy to set up and got me going quickly.

    Good, solid router

I bought this router to replace A Vizio HD router that started dropping the wireless after three years. Before that, the longest any router I bought would last was less than a year. Even when the Vizio was new, our media streaming would frequently drop and stall. Since we installed this Netgear router 4 months ago, we haven't experienced a single media drop. We run a desktop, two laptops, a server, two smartphones, two game consoles and two wifi Blu-Ray players on this router with almost no trouble. And if you configure your wireless card properly, 54Mbps is very, very nice to have. Installation was fast, easy and absolutely painless, and though the system specs say it's compatible with Windows and Mac, I did all the setup and configuration on an OpenSuse Linux laptop using the web interface so easily I could almost have slept through the process. It broadcasts wireless on two separate channels (check my terminology, please), one at 2.4g and the other at 5g. I'm not sure how many devices support 5g yet, but its presence in this router means no worries when we upgrade devices. The one problem we did have may be more a matter of location than a function of the router. There's one spot, about 20 feet from the router, where the sofa is, that seems to have trouble holding the connection with my wife's laptop. But just behind that is my son's room, and he has no trouble with the connection with his desktop, so it's probably not the router itself. But still, make sure of your router placement. Higher up is better. Properly placed, this router seems to be the best I've tried yet. I'd definitely recommend this router to anyone looking for a fast and easy home or small business router. Not for a large network, of course, but it handles all our devices with ease.

    Improved my connection

I got this to replace my failing router that kept dropping signal and didn't have the strong connection it once had. Set up was a breeze right out of the box (Read the instructions) and i had my network up and running in less than 10 minutes including opening the box. I can tell a huge difference, my signal feels strong and very responsive. I'm a console gamer and enjoy playing online. The first game i played when i switch routers was Super Street Fighter 4, i now can enjoy it without the low ping and lag. Browsing and watching videos on the web feels a lot better to. I have a modem provided by my ISP which i use with this router to send the signal over Wi-Fi and have more ethernet ports to use. I use to think it was just my ISP that had bad service but little did i know it was my old router that was hindering my connection, i think this is true for most people. I'm happy with my purchase and glad i was able to fix my internet connection problems.

    Perfect for gamers!

I bought this router to replace my cisco valet that crapped out on me. The nicest part about it is the dual band capability. Previously I was running mixed b/g/n and my PC would connect at G, slowing my 50Mbps Internet to about 16 on everything. Now, I can have my PC on G, and my PS3, iPad 2, iPhone 4 and laptop on N, giving me full 50Meg. I couldn't be happier! My only complaint is that you have to login to the router to access the upnp connect button, instead of just pushing a physical button on the router, and it errors out a lot of the time. Other than that, the speed and range of this router is terrific and for the price, I highly recommend it!

Don't buy this unless you want to be frustrated hooking it up. The directions are useless. Couldn't get through to the telephone Technical Assistance, or to Best Buy customer service. Both are always busy. Save you money.

I have two computers and three PS3's in the house for which we needed internet connection. This baby does it's job. On the weekends everything is online and my boys don't lag in their games with their friends. I never loose my connection when I am online doing internet classes. I have a two story house with a basement ( where my kids play PS3) and that is no problem for this router to keep us connected. I have used other routers before and they sucked! And we were in smaller houses. Even though this router is so powerful, it was a breeze to set up. And I am in no way a technical swavy person. Best router I have ever bought!

I purchased this product to replace a centurylink router and with this one the signal was so weak it wouldn't even allow the computer directly hooked to it to go online. I would not recommend this product at all.

    Good Basic Router

This is my first wireless router and so far I have no complaints. Installation was easy - despite not so clear directions. I then loaded the install CD and it took me through the setup process pretty quickly. I then hooked up a new wireless printer to the network, fired up my laptop and IPad with no problems as of yet. The range appears to also be good - I have a larger condo with no problems with dropped signals as of yet. It took me longer to find an outlet to plug it in near my desktop than it did to get this up and running. And I am not a tech wizard by any means, so for me this was easy.

    Great Piece of Equipment

I bought this after I went looking for a replacement Linksys Router after a storm. After looking around, I decided on this one based on advertised performance and price as compared to the same in class Linksys. I have always used linksys and love them but since it was a forced, unscheduled update I decided to go with it to see how it worked out. After all I could only loose 79.00 if it did not work out. Well as it turns out I am wonderfully surprised because I love this router. Easy to set up and use with many features. The range is great, I use an WAP in another building 50 feet away with no issues at all. I have had no issues at all and will definitely look at it for my next upgrade.

    Netgear scores again

This router works excellently with our internet provider's equipment and all 3 versions of Windows on our various computers and laptops and game systems. I made a mistake setting up security but ran the CD on a different machine and fixed it right up without needing to call for help. In fact, I had to do the online install to begin with as the primary computer is currently without a working CD or DVD drive. (That won't last long! Just died.) We had an earlier, smaller version of this router and it didn't seem to communicate as well with all the different wireless cards and OS's in use. Glad we went with the slightly more expensive version, it was well worth the money for the more consistent surfing. That earlier one didn't last very well either, we went through 3 in less than 3 years, so we're hoping this one will last longer as well.
