    My house is now wireless!

I purchased this for my husband for his birthday so we could use our iPad on the deck and around the house. He loves it. Our wireless devices work outside in the yard and the speed is the same as on our computers that are right next to the router. So, the distance is good, the speed is good (we have Charter here at about 10MB download speed) and the dual band works with our older products too. We had the Geek Squad install it and I would recommend that for everyone; they set it up quickly and correctly. I work from home and am on the Internet daily and I didn't even notice a difference when my iMac went wireless. It's that good.

I connect with other musicians online to rehearse and write music in real-time and this modem provides a strong (FULL) signal for my very demanding connection even while working a full floor above where it is set up. The simultaneous Dual bandwidth is nice and splits to either 2.4 or 5.0 GHz for shared connections. The ReadySHARE USB storage access is nice but it only supports FAT16/32, NTFS Read/WriteUSB and that's the one thing I overlooked when purchasing this product so when I tried connecting my 1TB SATA drive it did not work. I did have a small portable 8GB FAT drive laying around so I used that instead. The Smart Wizard installation CD was really easy to use and quick to set up. Also, if you are a gamer, this is perfect for multi-player gaming online.

I found this router provided easy and quick access to all of the items in my network. It also met the requirements for the most recent DVR used by Charter.

signal rate is great, many options to solve just about any type of installation. range is great, especially if used with another netgear router as a base and repeater, covers my entire house, runs 11 wifi, and around 4 hard lines, not many can handle that kind of load, but a good isp speed would be helpful, i use around 16 down, 1.5 up. great product, its my 6th netgear router. the only other router i think comes close is apples 2 type routers to do the same setup, the extreme, and express.

I bought this to replace my old linksys g router because it died. It's way easier to setup then the linksys one and i have 4 computers hooked into my router the speed of the router is of course higher and not dropped signal as of yet . I have only had it for about 2 and a half weeks. and no problems yet.

About a month ago my old Netgear WPN 824 which lasted 7 so years went out I was so bummed and lost without my wireless so was my husband. I went to my local Best Buy and thought maybe I would buy the same one since I really was happy with its performance, to no avail it wasn't available but the Netgear N600 was and suggested by the sales associate, knowing the guarantee from best Buy and the 30 day free support from Netgear I took a chance, well worth the purchase is all I can say. The support helped me get connected and the Netgear Genie is too cool no more going to their web site to get updates for the router it has a feature built into it. I will always go back to Netgear for any and all my routers, :-)

FINALLY - Stop pulling your hair out!

Typical story - bought this to replace another hardware giant's so-called "gem" that simply would not stay connected and needed to be reset several times a week. Installation was extremely simple - had all of our (6) devices connected within minutes of connecting the router. So far, speed and range have been significantly improved. So far so good. An update will follow after a few months of use.

I bought this router to upgrade my network from g to n. I get better coverage, I get full signal in every room of my house both upstairs and down. I get phenomenal transfer speed on both the 2.4 and 5 ghz band, and set up was pretty much plug and play. The reason I chose this particular router was because of the dual band and the ability to connect an external storage device, I've read reviews saying the transfer speed was slow from an external drive, but I get excellent transfer speeds from the drive, the usb is usb 3.0 so if you use a usb 3.0 external drive it will take full advantage of the increased transfer rate, also some reviews say that it is picky about external drives, basically if your drive requires software to use it won't work, but if it is a plug and play drive it will work just fine. If you read the manual you CAN turn off the bright blue leds on the side.

I actually went into BBY to buy a cisco router. But when I got there this router was right below it. I wanted the Cisco E2000 but this one boasted better data rates and was much cheaper. Thanks to the sale I got this great product. I am an IT Systems Administrator so my opinion on how easy it was to setup may not be the best gauge. Although, I will say it is extremely easy to setup. The web interface is great. I didn't even realize, until I got home, that this router has 3 seperate wireless networks all with their own SSIDs. I setup one for my internal network of computers, one for my gaming consoles and there is a handy 3rd one. It actually creates an isolated network that cannot communicate back into your internal network. This is good for when you want to have a guest connection for friends to get on when they are over. I hide the first 2 and broadcast the 3rd. I use my Cisco 7921 wireless VoIP phone on it as well and the connection is amazingly clear unlike my old router. All in all, extremely glad I bought this.
