Great router, fast, great range and great Web UI!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced my Netgear WPN824n with this router because I wanted dual-band, couldn't be happier. It has fantastic range and the speeds keep up pretty well. The web UI is also great, every feature I could ask for.

This works great for our needs.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The old wireless expired and we needed a new one. The people at the store recommended this one so we decided to try it. It works great and we have had no problems with it. Installation was easy and the distance isn't a problem at all. We are very happy with it.

Much Relieved!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased a Belkin Play N600 router first as a pre Christmas gift. This was to be a wireless solution for three holiday issues. In priority: Daughter-in-law's VNA nursing records, son's netbook Christmas gift, and granddaughters new hand held games. Followed instructions to the "T". The Devil's humor getting it to work. Crashed computer, blue screen, no connection, then finally...Worked for two days. Couldn't resolve the problem. New firmware wouldn't reconcile. Total bust. Returned it to BB. Never again will I buy Belkin Selected this Netgear N600 product as a substitution by reviews. Set it up for my son. Never a dropped connection. Everyone is happy. It was a breeze and made me look brilliant! I'm a PC builder and proud tecchy.

Great product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up, reliable, and clear signals. The only problem that I had was with my cable compamy. Called customer service and they were able to guide me through installation. Cox Cable apperently needs to be notified when you replace a router....for whatever reason.

Works...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told I needed to upgrade my wireless router to pair with the new wifi TV I got as my old router was insufficient... I'm not sure if I got duped here or what, but I got this new router. Set up was a breeze and I'm not the most tech-savvy guy in the world. Installation was a breeze. I remember my older Netgear router was a pain to install and my network was not password protected for the better part of two years because I couldn't figure out how to change it on the old Netgear. This one was easy to set up, easy to configure, a total breeze. Though, to be quite honest, I hadn't noticed faster speeds, and if anything, it seems like I'm getting more 3 bars when playing xbox live now than I used to with the older Netgear router, but that could be just due to me actually looking at it now... A little expensive and as I said, I'm not sure I actually needed the new router, but all in all a solid product.

Easy to set up, reasonable price, fast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up, fast speeds, covers my 400 sq foot home and 7 computers and a wireless printer. The only downside is that I had to buy 2 new wireless internet adaptors fot my 2 desktops running xp. The wireless G adaptors I had would not find the Netgear router.

Good unit fairly easy to hook-up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over-all this is a great router, my 2nd from Netgear in 10 years. They last. Easy LAN and Wireless hook-up, although setting up a network was a bit difficult. Small profile, space saver, speed + for all connections including 5G HS. Good value for the dollar.

It Gets The Job Done
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My belkin router had just stopped working after 7 years and I needed to replace it immediately. I didn't have time to research the routers that were in the store. I had a sales rep help me within the store. For under $100 and having less than 5 devices he suggested this route. So far, so good. no complaints. Setup was more timely than expected but all good.

Great Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Router was easy to install, compatible with all my devices, doesn't take up much space, and is pretty neat looking (for a router). You are able to see data usage and who is connected to the internet. In an average sized house, the range is good.

Great router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this at home where we have several levels and two home offices. It works great and does not give us any problems. My wife does not get as good a signal in her upsatirs office but we believe its nothing to do with the router and everything to do with the architecture of the home. Something in the walls reduces the signal. We know this through professional testing. This is the second router I have purchased from Netgear. I have found both very easy to install and reliable. I have to reset it occasionally but not often. And when I need toreset its simple and only takes a moment. I would buy this product again and recommend it. I also like the security features. We have kids in our home and we have set the router to block certain keywords and undesirable sites. It works great in this regard. helps to keep our kids safe from some of the nasty stuff on the web.

Save Your Receipt
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an AT&T DSL user and I replaced an old 2Wire router/modem with this NETGEAR dual band router/modem. Installation was easy as was set-up. My other devices were able to "see" the NETGEAR device and to connect easily. However, the second week that I owned the NETGEAR device I was encouraged to download a firmware update from NETGEAR'S website. As soon as I completed the download the router stopped working. I spent a great deal of time online with NETGEAR'S tech support department as they tried to figure out how to reset the router and to undo the upgrade. At the end a 1 1/2 hour phone call NETGEAR suggested that I return the device to Best Buy. Unfortunately I didn't have my receipt or the packing material any longer and had to exchange it with NETGEAR directly. This solution resulted in several days of down time. The device works well but save your receipt...just in case.

My whole neighborhood has internet now...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had one of the little white netgear boxes, that worked just fine until I started acquiring too many electronics that have wireless. Then the old wireless box would drop on or two of them, or cut out and need reset completely. Got this bad boy hooked up and i have an AMAZING signal, with everything going, and NO problems with it dropping or needing reset! If you are like me and have 4 or 5 computers, a few itouch, a PS3 or 3 and a few wiis, not to mention other wifi stuff floating around your house, you cant go wrong with this, the price was awesome and the signal is fantastic!

Excellent value with minimal installation effort
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While knowledgeable about this type of product, I never needed a home network before. I knew I wanted speed, value, and ease of installation. This router exceeded my expections on all requirements. I would not hesitate to purchase another Netgear product.

is this thing from the future??
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great router, what more could be said…. i use this with the Motorola surfboard docsis 3.0 extreme cable modem, they work perfect together. Haven’t had to reset either one and have had them on running 24/7 for the last few weeks or so… wish I could toggle the display lights on/off. I have this all setup in my bedroom, kind of keeps me up at night, but I haven’t really researched if I could. (not a bad thing Im just saying) … setup was easy just remember to set it up first with the Ethernet cable only after you have setup your modem and made sure that worked fine (FYI I have Comcast (performance), and 2 laptops running via wifi and a directtv hd dvr running on a Ethernet cable)

For the price, it's great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was very easy to get the router functional. It has a pre-programmed network name and password, which is nice. I didn't have to worry about my network being unsecured until I got the privacy settings updated. I was able to follow the instructions to get my 2TB external hard disk connected, but then I hit a wall. I wanted to change the name and password of my networks, and I couldn't through the "network genie" app. The only mention in the quick setup guide was that they advised against it. I had to find the user manual online (which was no small feat), which told me how to log in as an admin to change it. Not really an earth-shattering problem, but it was enough to annoy me. I can see how if you're not tech savvy, you might have some issues. Overall, though, it's working above expectations now that I have it set up the way I want.
