Setup took less than 10 minutes. I love the user friendly status menu. There is a logo on the side of the router that lights up blue...Looks cool but is annoying.Press it in to turn off if desired....All in all a great router. Also has a lifetime warranty!!!!

I purchased this router a little less than a year ago and I love it. I had absolutely no problem installing it. In my household we have a PS3, Xbox 360, and multiple Cell phones that use the wifi and we have no issues. I often listen to the football game streaming while doing yard work and I never have a problem with losing my signal like I did with my old router. My brother-in-law is in the market for a router today and I am definitly recommending this one.

I wanted to wait until I had used the wifi for a while, before reviewing. I use it for Netflix, mostly. It does a very good job, except for one small problem. When watching streaming movies, I get some blackouts. Only for a second, and do not lose anything that I am watching. My Netgear is about 100 feet away, and one story above, at my computer. My Brother was visiting, and using my wifi, it worked excellent for his equipment. A very good wifi for the money.

Easy to set up, and speeds great with my desk top,lap top and a Ipad2 running at same time. VERY happy with it!

If you’re in the market for a new router check this one out. Easy setup and very reliable connections. I have an office basement and my old router couldn’t hold a connection through a vpn. I haven’t found a dead spot in the house now after switching. Now using this router I can have multiple devices connected at once without any type of lag or connection speed degradation.

had a linksys router, worked with all my deivces but my ps3, and didnt carry a great signal, bought a this netgear and its an easy setup and works great

it was easy to setup and with the software you can turn off the wi-fi with 2 clicks of the mouse. doesn't take up much space compared to some routers.

I bet on NETGEAR when it comes to routers. However, installation is not all that straight-forward. Also, there are rare surprises by normal operation interruptions. For the most part, though, the router is doing a great job and handling 4 laptops and a Desktop very well. The extras in terms of separate networks and network storage are a great plus. I believe that this router is well-worth the money and reliable. I haven't had the chance of trying other ones so as to specifically compare but this NETGEAR is a very decent solution for rapid home networking.

I replaced a wrt54g Linksys that I owned for years (since 2003). that router was amazing for its time. It finally required constant rebooting etc. I was looking for a "N" spec router and always had good luck with Netgear products. This router confirmed my experiences. I literally swapped out the old router, ran the setup disk and was online in less time then it took to get it out of the box. It's now 6 weeks later and I can only say it's run flawlessly. No reboots, constant connection etc. Let me also add I have a PS3 and a Tivo DVR wireless that would always lose the network. Since this installation both devices have never lost a connection. Just for that it's worth the money!! This router is a deal!! Really I love it. Good Luck.

Used this product to replace an expensive boosted-antenna industrial router. We got better range and speed than that $700 device. NetGear for the win!

I bought this product on Black Friday and save $25 or $30. It has definitely been worth it, even if I had to stand in the check-out line an hour that day. My previous router was 7-8 years old and dying and I really didn't know what I was missing out on until I got this one. It is SO much faster overall. I easily stream video from the internet now, anywhere in my 2-story house. It was easy to set up, gave me some great options, and the security is great too. After 2 months I haven't had any issues, no drops, etc. I 100% recommend this product, it is great.

It seems to have good range..very easy to set up with windows 7...software is easy to work with also

Purchased a Linksys first which was supposed to work on other floors of my house and have a wide range. My iPad only worked when I was in the same room that the router was and I had to keep calling customer service almost every day for a week to get it to work. Finally, I returned it and got this NETGEAR. It is a great router. Now I can leave the room that the router is in, go outside, or walk up two more floors in my house with my IPad and it still works. I'm glad I paid a little more than the others I looked at, but it was well worth it.

I bought this as an upgrade from what I thought was a nice router. Little did I know what was possible. This new unit is so much better. Very fast streaming of video and we can all use our devices at once without someone getting frustrated by constant buffering. Setup was sooo easy. Basically just connect things up and start them as the instructions say and you will be up and running in no time. I also appreciated the preset security. No messing around with that. So far so good and we couldn't be happier. Great unit.

This router was on sale for much lower than other dual band routers when I bought it. Devices catch signal throughout our house which is over 2K sf. Handles multiple devices at once with no problem. I think it was worth the money. I stream movies on PS3 while surfing on laptop and movies never buffer and internet never drops as it did with my previous router.

I have to change my first review as the internet provider checked our system and it was outdated and could have contributed to the problems with the router. We have an updated system now and the router works good.

So far it seems more reliable and appears to have better range than the Belkin unit it replaced when the Belkin croaked in less than 30 days!

I bought this on sale and it was worth the full price. Easy set up and use. Connected in minutes and going wireless soon after. Totally worth it.
