The router has a very small footprint

I bought this wireless router that allows me to not only connect up my desktop, which my wife likes to use and I can connect up my wireless laptop and go to another room and keep on doing my work. Easy connection and set up plus small footprint makes it a great deal. And for the price from BestBy forget it no one had a better deal!

Excellent Router for a small house

This is my first Netgear router and I'm very happy with it. I have a two story townhouse and the range is very good. Smart TV, XBOX and iPad are connected to the 5GHz band all cell phones and laptops are connected to the 2.4GHz. and they all play nice with each other :). I had a small issue with the initial set up as the laptop would not connect to the router with a wire but it ended up connecting wireless after a few tries. Other than that, it's been a great experience.

I picked this up to upgrade and the install and initial operation was great. Typical home use plus AppleTV so it gets some use. Connection is fast and reliable. About three weeks in, the unit failed. I returned it for an exchange and the new one is operating well. Even though the first one failed, I am still happy with the product.

I have always been a fan of Cisco, but just recently I got tired of constant drops and overheating issues from the router that I had. I was told by a friend to try the Netgear router that I purchased and it was night and day for me. It doesn't overheat, it hasn't dropped me since I have purchased it about a month ago, haven't even turned it off, and has a cool blue light to it as well. So if you the same issues I have had with other routers than I would suggest to try this one, you won't be dissapointed.

Easiest router installation ever. I recently bought a Netgear N600 wireless usb for my new desktop. It took seconds to link it to the Netgear router. I have instant response time linked to the Internet. I find Netgear products amazing. I paid $80 for the router and $50 for the wireless usb and did not need the Geek Squad this time.

I have a long ranch house (1600 sq ft) and my router and living room are on opposite sides of the house. My previous N Linksys couldn't reach my living room. This Netgear reaches it, but I only get about 30-50% connectivity. Overall I'm pleased, I realize it's not the highest end router, but I haven't had any connection problems or any network hiccups so I'm happy. I can get online with my Nexus 7 and PS3 from the living room and that was exactly what this router was inteded to do for me.

Netgear is my choice for routers. I had previously had DSL and a Netgear router/modem. The DSL signal was so poor the speed was no better then dial-up. All the techs that were sent out by AT&T said that the speed problems were on their side. So dumped DSL and went with cable for the internet. We have 4 desktops 2 that are connected by wireless, 2 Samsung bluray players connected by wireless, and a Xbox 360 also wireless, and several laptops with the computers on and the Xbox on, we were are able to download Netflix movies to the bluray players and never experience any stuttering of the movies when being played at all. Netgear has never let me down yet.

I bought a WD N900 router, which I reviewed previouly. It was basically DOa on arrival. I took it back and replaced it with this router. As I stated at the end of the other review, with this router I was up and running in less than 15 minutes. I was upgrading from a Wireless B router with a N150+ upgrade. What a difference, my TV, which has internet access was able to play VUDU movie at HDX whereas before, it would continuously buffer and sometimes drop down to SD play.

Needed to get better range to reach Roku Streaming Device for Netflix. Very pleased with installation, signal strength, and range. But for some reason when I'm using AOL on my laptop, I lose my Internet connection quite often and need to re-connect using the Netgear Software that comes with the unit. The streaming TV runs just fine as does my iPad and the desktop PC connected directly to the router. Looking for a solution, but overall it is working well enough for my needs. JDD

I've owned this router for 3 years and it's been the absolute best router that I have ever owned. I have had two Linksys routers, a Microsoft and another Netgear prior to this one and none of them have lasted as long. Port forwarding is simple to navigate and it's just been reliable. I am beginning to see signs that it may be failing now as I have had to reboot it twice in the past 10 days or so. I will buy another though.

I'd recommend this router if you are willing to spend the money. I think they are a little expensive, but then again, they do work good. I just had one minor issue with it. The electric company was working around the neighborhood and shut off the power and turned it right back on. Afterwards, it didn't work. I tried to reset it and a few other things that didn't work, then a few weeks later, a storm knocked the power out for just an instant and we tried it and it worked again.
