Easy set up and great coverage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a competitor's product with the NETGEAR RangeMax Dual-Band Wireless-N Router because my old router kept losing connectivity with my computor and iPad devices. I repeatedly had to re-connect to the old router after periods of inactivity. The Netgear router has not lost connectivity even after long periods of the various household devises being in sleep mode. When I wake up a device now I am confident it will be immediately re-connected to my home wireless network.

Great Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great router, ridiculously easy to set up and use. Only issue I have and why only 4 stars is that the broadcast range in my home is not perfect. Thinking its probably not all the router's fault though since my previous router did not reach my bedroom either. I was hoping that a newer router and technology would jump that hurdle but I guess not. I live in a condo that is long and narrow and my router sits about a quarter from one end and my bedroom is at the other end.

Stick with Netgear!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great router overall. I had a Linksys/Cisco dual band and this one is much better. Speed doubled on my cable internet over my old Netgear RT314 (back from the stone age.....). Could be less expensive but it works like a charm with no dropped signal, and I had it up and running in 10 minutes. Wireless signal is great too.

Even A Novice Can Set It Up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was terribly nervous about hooking up a router as I had never done it before. The worry was for nothing. It was extremely easy. Follow the simple instruction (with illustrations) and it walks you through the rest. We use it for our laptop and our Wii. I like to catch up on missed t.v. episodes by watching online. This router gives us great connection and never pauses to buffer. Allows our laptop to work in any room of our house and I can also use it while in our yard.

Good N type router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a whiz..The only complaint that I have is that it came without installation instructions. Someeone who is not familiar with computers might be in trouble if there were installation problems Fortunately, Netgear has good user assistance. I am also impressed with the range of this unit. I have a half acre, and there is no place on the property where I can't get a signal.

Only Routers I Would Buy!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace my last Netgear G router. Had the G for almost three years never had a problem. It took a voltage spike during electrical storm. The easiest installation out there for a wireless router... not even a CD to do the install. 5 minutes and you will be up and running. Had this one about a month now and could not be happier. Great value for the money also!

Excellent Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently moved and at my prior location I had cable internet, but now I have DSL. This router worked seamlessly between both connections. It also allows me to hook up my external hard drive using a USB and now I can access the hard drive anywhere in my house. It's fast and it emits a strong signal even when you are upstairs (it's located downstairs). It's the perfect router.

Love the speed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a G to this dual channel N and my speed almost tripled. No more bogging down when I'm playing online video games and my wife is watching Netflix. The only small problem is the installation requires a physical connection to a computer. Since I have my router and modem in another room from the computers I had to haul my old (very old) laptop out and use that.

If I can set up this router, anyone can!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to admit I was scared to purchase this router because I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to set up. I got it home and took it out of the box and the rest was simple. I haven't had any problems with this router and it's been up and running for about three months now. I live in a colonial house with three levels and the strength is great no matter where I'm at.

Good router for moderate broadband speeds.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed to replace a router that was no longer supported in order to have compatibility with newer smart phones. Set up was seamless, and phones were recognized immediately. Using it with the Exede satellite internet service, running a PC, laptop, 2 Samsung Galalxy S6 phones, iPad, Kindle Fire HD, 4K smart TV and BluRay player.

Excellent Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I exchanged home routers from a Cisco WRT400N to this Netgear N600 Dual Band Router. The setup was way to easy. I've noticed a 5-6MB speed difference after moving to the Netgear. Don't know why, but I'm not complaining. The router has a built in firmware update option. So when a firmware update is available it gives you the option to download and install the update from the router admin panel, very cool. Overall I'm very happy I changed routers.

works great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little concerned as several people had told me I may not always have range outside my house. I have never had a problem even going out on my back patio which is the opposite side of the house of router setup... Some people I know told me with theirs they sometimes can not get their laptops or pads to work right on their own back or front decks, I go even further away out to the back patio and as of yet have not had a single problem...

Great Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have nothing bad to say about this router. I was very easy to install and I have had zero problems with it since the day it was plugged in. Highly recommended for someone who has a lot of wireless internet users in a household. Other routers could not handle the traffic volume that this one can.

Just enough...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a router that simply gets the job done, has adequate security (meaning WPA2), and for a low price then this router is for you. And the ability to customize its access further heightens the router's over all use and security. You're able to set time periods to restrict and limit access to your network- either wireless or hard-lined. In addition to time/period restrictions, you can also limit general device access with just a password and/or increase Wi-Fi security with a password and creating an exclusive list of specific MAC addresses only allowed to have access to your network. Oh, and you can create "Guest Network" access and allow or restrict a device(s) from accessing other devices on your personal network. (Meaning it will only be able to access the internet.) You're also able to block specific or general site types based on defined content. In addition to the above features, t also has... wireless repeating function (with the additional device)...the ability to track usage via kept logs and a "traffic meter"...the option to limit/restrict usage according to a customized schedule...remote access...USB settings (for devices connected to the router such as another hard-drive)...etc., etc. (It has more options "than you can shake a stick at"!)
