Very easy to set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup was very easy. I had it connected in 5 minutes. It works well and I have not have any problems. I have not had to reset it once. The only negative is that it did not improve performance as much as I expected. I had a 8 year our router. So, I was hoping for a tremendous improvement. It improved but videos still stall sometimes.

Outstanding product and easy to use.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up this Netgear Router on the recommendation of a friend and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I had an old linksys router and our wireless devices were always dropping signal. For the cost of this unit and for the performance, I would highly recommend it. We have not dropped signal once since it has been installed.

Good instructions, easy setup.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being a clutz I envisioned many problems setting up and using the router. The instructions were clear and simple and before you knew it I was up and running. I like the fact that the router has an off and on swtich,

Secure out of the box and easy to setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was realy the easiest wireless router I have ever setup. It comes right out of the box with a unique security key set. No configuration required. Plug it in, find the wireless signal, connect, enter your encryption key and you are on the Net. Great range and high data transfer rates. Highly recommended - I like simple and easy.

Reliable Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used Netgear before and it is a top notch router for what it does. It works well in the house which has an upstairs/downstairs and has coverage from end to end.

Very happy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old router had been a good and faithful friend, but it was struggling under the load. It kept dropping the connection for one of my three computers, and I bought a booster for it, but it just wasn't enough. It begged me, BEGGED me, to retire it. So I bought this new sleek, black Netgear router and sent my old router to the wireless pasture in the sky. The new router bulges with data-streaming muscles! No matter how humid it is or how hot, the air is no match for this wireless powerhouse. It flexes its ethernet cable and shouts BOOYAH! Bring It! whenever I connect all three computers wirelessly at once -- even the gaming machine. Its smooth lines and sleek finish are so handsome, too, and its comforting blue glow serves as a nightlight when I stumble through the house in the wee hours of the night for a drink of water or to find out what the cat's gotten into. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase.

Performance is worth the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third wireless router I have bought. The first two I bought off brand at a discount store. This time I decided to spend a little more to get something that would work. If you are looking for a router to connect to your internet wirelessly in under 20 mins and with basically no brain power to do so this is the router for you

No real trouble
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation of the router went pretty smooth. Had to call my cable provider to reset my cable modem because the router reconized it as a static ip address. Only problem i have is sometimes my laptop doesnt always want to authenticate with the router. When that happens i hit the blue button on the router and they start talking again

Privides my networking needs.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everytime I have a power drop, the router has to be unplugged and restarted. There should have been an advisory that the higher security settings are not compatible with Windows Vista. I wasted 2 days, getting more frustrated by the minute, until I finally contacted NetGear Technical Services. Only able to use the least secure system.

Dependable product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router so I could finally go wireless. This was, for the most part, easy to install. It took my husband and I a couple of minutes to realize what the instruction book was really saying about the cords and how to connect them with our cable modem. Once we got that figured out, I literally haven't had to think about it since.

Smart Move
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 4 years my Linksys wireless router gave up the ghost. I did some research and decided on this unit. I've had it for about a month and a half and love it. Setup was easy, met my expectations. I'd recommend it.

Stable internet connection throughout the house
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Netgear N600 router provides a stable reliable internet connection for my laptop, throughout the house. Setup was pretty easy, except I needed additional information than is provided in the product instructions to set up the link between the router and my cable modem. Once set up, it has performed well and is a great value.

Netgear Customer Service Was Terrible!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I've ever posted a review for any product that I've purchased. Initially this router worked fine. It was easy to set up and was hassle-free once connected. After 2 months the unit I purchased stopped working. I disconnected and powered everything down and attempted to reconnect without success. I called Netgear customer service and was connected to an gentleman with a distinct Indian accent who told me his name was "Arnold". He walked me through the set up process again. Then had me twice attempt a "firmware repair" over the phone, all without success. I ended up spending over an hour on the telephone with Arnold, only to conclude with him providing me with a Netgear "RMA" or "Return Merchandise Authorization". He could not describe for the the details of the return and was only able to advise that I would receive an email with further instructions. The email came and I then learned that I would need to mail the defective unit back to Netgear in Memphis, TN at my expense. Once received, Netgear would send a new unit back to me via ground delivery. If I wanted to have this handled on an expedited basis, I has the option of paying an additional $39.95, which represents approximately 50% of the total cost of the defective unit. Not wanting to spend any more than necessary, I went with the standard shipping, which I estimated would mean that I would go without wireless at my house for a week or so. I sent the item back via express mail and I confirmed that Netgear received the unit 3 days after I sent it. When I checked the status page link Netgear provided it indicated that the unit had been "exported to warehouse" but not shipped back. When I called Netgear to inquire as to when I might expect a new unit to be shipped out, I was told that this particular unit was "on back order" and that they were not able to tell me when my RMA might be processed. I am a bit disgusted that the manufacturer cannot fulfill its warranty commitment immediately due to a back order issue, when I can easily go down to my local Best Buy in Anchorage, AK and simply purchase one off the shelf. Overall, the product was fine while it functioned, which in this case was exactly 78 days. This will be the last Netgear product that I purchase. Hopefully, if you elect to purchase a product from Netgear, your "customer service" experience will be less frustrating.

Easy setup and amazing reception
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure which router to get for my new apartment. I seeked the help of a best buy employee who suggested this router. I was amazed how easy it was to setup! In addition to the router already being set to private that other people can't just jump on and use my router. My connection to has always remain high!
