Slightly difficult to set this unit up, but the customer service person was great. Once the router was set up it ran perfectly and is very fast.

Installation is easy, but wireless is sometime disconnected for no reason. Signal strength is not good. May buy something else later.

Had 2 Extenders installed. Increased signal and all items now work as they should. Before, had dead zones in areas farther away from router...

Had a 6 year old netgear router that needed replacing, and this one was just the right price with all the bells and whistles of higher cost routers.

    DIED AFTER 2 MONTHS

I got this about 2 months ago. I have already had to replace it. I had to send it back to NETGEAR before the would send the replacement. Plus i had to pay to send it to them. It did work great when it was working. I had 2 Laptops, Ipad, tablet, xbox and my phone on WI-FI and they all worked fast. I hope the replacement works longer than the last one. I am clicking on i would recommend this hoping this one will not do the same thing as the last one.

    Versatile little box

I purchased this router to take advantage (hopefully) of built-in "n" wireless capabilities of the iMac, HP printer and Sony TV and Blu-Ray players. Decent results although the highest (300mb) speed "n" network seems to come and go (SSID may or may not be visible) but with the multiple networks I created, my devices stay connected, usually with "n" (130mb) but no worse than "g" (54mb) speeds. Internal network performance is fine. I purchased with Reward Zone points and local discount so the bottom line was a very inexpensive upgrade to my older network.

    Read First, Do NOT Buy

I bought this router two years ago when I moved into my new apartment because the price and reviews were good. I had 15 Mbps of internet speed at the time and recently have upgraded to 100 Mbps. After recently checking my internet speed, I was only getting less than 30Mbps through the router, however, I was getting over 100Mbps connected directly through my separate modem. This router had just sit in a corner since I got it and all of my devices are no more than 10ft from it (6 total). Because of this, I contacted Netgear support and was transferred to a support technician in India and after a long, tedious conversation reading through a script, they wanted to charge me for additional tech service support to reconfigure my router to fix this issue. 2 years was over $200, 1 year was ~$150, and 6 months was about ~$80. There was no way I was spending that much. I went into best buy and just bought a new router. I got the Linksys EA6350 and it is awesome! I checked my internet speed and I am getting the full 100Mbps, give or take 10Mbps.

    Customer service costs extra!

Netgear advertises that this product carries a lifetime warranty. However, what they don't tell you is that they only give support for 90 days. If you need help you must pay for a service ($79/6 months, $129/1yr). If it turns out your router is not functioning properly, it will not be replaced if it still turns on and you can get wired internet access through it irregardless of whether or not it still functions as a wireless router (I was told this by a service technician over the phone.) To it's credit, it was simple to set up and was working in 20 minutes. It worked fine, although I don't put a lot of demands on it. The previous one only lasted 4 months and they refused to replace it.

Overall, a good value for the price. The only real disappointment is the limited range of the 5GH band. The range of the 2.6GH band is OK.

Pretty easy to install as long as you follow directions. Hasn't kicked us off internet unlike my old one. Maybe it's the upgraded speed too.
