Huge waste of money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router about a year ago and it worked without issue until the last firmware update. Once updated, the signal strength wasn't what it was and the wireless signal would drop much more frequently. It finally died yesterday. This was the second N600 I've purchased in under 2.5 years. No more Netgear products for me!

No support. They charge $$$
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not recommend buying ANY netgear products. The least amount of problems turns into charges of $40 to $100. They do not recognize my products serial number on the website. However if you call the 800 numbers they recognize it. But you pay $$ to go forward to resolve your problem. This is a major rip off and I beg you to look at another brand of router. Any other brand cannot be as bad as Netgear.

After latest firmware upgrade signal drops
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Look online and you will find 1000's of post about this. At first it was fine, worked great. Then after applying the latest firmware upgrade this signal constantly drops the wireless connection. The solution? backlevel the Firmware back to the old version. Doesnt seem like much testing goes into their products. Going to try the backlevel and see if it works if not i am going back to Cisco.

Doesnt deserve one Star
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the router for Christmas and spent all day with customer service trying to get it too work and no success. T We re-hooked up our old one and everything worked so in the morning, we called and told them that it was definitly a bad router and would not do anything for kus. Said the techs should have "tested" the router. They would not do anything for kus. Techs know nothing.

Do not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I accidentally bought this before realizing I swore never to buy netgear again. As with my prior netgear experience four years ago, installation was a nightmare. The setup software couldnt even get past the first stage. After getting dropped twice by telephone customer support, everything went unceremoniously into a garbage bag to be taken back to Best Buy. Cnet rates this as poor as well.

Very Frustrated
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried to install this router with no success, my macbook saw the wireless signal, but the router would not connect to the internet, my ISP found the 800 number for me because I didn't have internet connection, called customer service, terrible! Very hard to understand, had to hear the person, after 1 1/2 hours of this I gave up! I am returning to Best Buy!

Not Good! Don't Waste money on This Item!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hate this device. I bought it to improve my reception. Best Buy assured me it would improve my reception and connection over my current product. NOT SO! It constantly kicks me off the internet. It cannot maintain a connection anytime. It lasts about 5 to 20 minutes--never more, and then in the middle of important business or work, I am kicked off the internet.

Would not wish this for my worst enemy.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has to be the worst router ever made. My old one that I had to shake to reset was better than this piece of junk. We have it set up in a small room. Our walls are T-N-G wood and the signal drops constantly from the next room. Moved it to the main living room, and the signal drops ten feet away. Weak. Lame. Buyer beware. Never buying netgear ever again.

Don't Waste Your Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this product in November 2012. It worked intermittently for about 2 weeks. After firmware update, it would connect to the internet but no device could connect to wifi. Tried to configure manually and automatically--nothing worked. Returned and bought a Linksys N600 (which works great and was easy to set up). Great customer service from Best Buy.

worst Router ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told this was a good one but it constantly drops my internet signal and has been causing problems from the start. I wouldn't recommend this to even my enemies.

Poor Range, Poor Speed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When paired with the proper NetGear N600 wireless USB dongle, still have speed and range problems. Can't get past 22-30 Mbps, while when I switched to Belkin I had no problem sometimes reaching 110 Mbps. There is something wrong with this router. Do not recommend! Range on 5 GHz is MUCH POORER than 2.4 GHz.

No access to admin functionality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After logging into routerlogin.net and changing the SSID/password of the nettwork the domain would no longer resolve. Put simply, I lost all access to administrative features. Bricked. Done. There is no tomorrow. It seemed like a good deal at $69, but the quality (at least of my purchase) is sketchy. Makes me want to go running for Linksys/Cisco.

Worst router I've ever bought
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this router as a christmas present, I immediately had problems with degraded speeds through wireless. I contacted Netgear, and although they offered to replace the device after 4 days of troubleshooting, I would have to pay for shipping, and be without a router for 3 weeks. I am never buying a Netgear product every again.

Failed within two weeks.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had one or two linksys's fail over the years so I thought lets try a netgear. Worked a week power cycled it worked 2 days, power cycled it worked 2 days, power cycled it to get to the weekend and returned it the next day. Bought the apple version it's pricey but I'm hoping the electronics isn't quite so cheap. My time has value too!

Drops coverage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is being returned. Our older, cheaper Netgear router maintained the wireless connections much better than this one does. My children's iPod touches and laptops are always losing their wireless connections with this router. In addition, they don't get the signal as far from our house as they got with our older Netgear WGR614.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router to replace my 8 year old Linksys that would not stay connected. Everything worked great for the first 12 hours. After that, we had to reset the router at least once every 24 hours. It is going back to Bestbuy. Going to buy another Linksys.
