followed the directions the geek squad member gave me. The set up was easy. my Iphone found the signal and went online as soon as I put in the password. My laptop the same. Never knew it would be so easy. Been using it for three months and it works perfect.

I purchased this router to extend wireless wifi thought my new home and so far have been quite pleased with it. I may have to purchase an extender as well to improve some slow performance issues in some of the far away areas of the house, but I am sure that this will solve all of my issues. I did research prior to buying and found that Netgear was highly recommended.

We bought this exact model of modem several years ago and it finally went out this year. And that was only after a huge thunder and lightning storm that tripped the circuit breaker. We never expected our modem to last so many years so we were not upset at having to replace it. We went online to find a modem and could not decide which one to buy, so I decided to just check and see if I typed in the brand and model name, then maybe I could find the newer model that replaced the one we had. I was happily surprised to find that Netgear still offered the same model that we had before. We were very pleased with its performance and never experienced outages or any issues during the many years that we had it. Also the price was almost half of what we had expected to pay.

Although the manufacturer would prefer the installer to use the quick setup tool with a little manipulation you can set up using the advanced tools. This will allow you to change settings so you can increase your security, allow port forward for those devices you might be running such as a security system or other sensors for remote monitoring and set limits for users if desired.

Value for money. Cover my apartment nicely which is more than 1500sqfts.
