My husband moved his office from the living level of our house to a basement office and could no longer receive the wireless Internet signal. This Wi-Fi extender enables him to receive the same strength signal in the basement as he was receiving on the living level.

Works for me. Placed in center of home to get extended wifi to garage cameras.

I bought this range extender to help with streaming Netflix movies through our Wii console. My router is on the main floor and with the range extender I can now watch flicks in my basement without any troubles!

I bought this to connect a DLNA blu-ray player to my home network. I kept getting disconnected from the wireless network with this extender. Not sure if it's a flaw with the unit or the model itself. I returned it for the dual-band WN2500.

I used it to extend a network connection to a 4 channel camera DVR. The fact that it had a 4 port switch built in made it nice because the DVR did not have a built in wireless adapter. So far it has worked great except that I did have to reset it once. That may have been due to the ISP dropping service for a few hours.

Good product for the price, but don't bother reading the directions. Go directly to Netgear's website and download the installer application or you'll beat your head against the wall trying to get it to work with just the instructions that come with it.

This range extended was purchased to extend the range of an existing NetGear wi-fi system that was installed in the lower level of the house a few years ago. The signal of the existing system did not reach to the kitchen, so I purchased this extender, which works well once I found a good position for it in the house.

I bought one of these a few years ago and it worked great. But it eventually went out. Got a new one, and it couldn't keep a connection to my router. Just had it replaced. Hopefully the last one was just defective, cause so far so good.

This extender had a very easy setup. I used the automatic WPS buttons on my CenturyLink router and on the extender to make the connection. It has not dropped the connection since activation!!!

bought hoping it would help with my belkin n+ wireless router. could not seem to get signal in a room 20 feet away. increased signal, but still slow. just bought a apple airport extreme instead, expensive, but no signal issues. I think this may be a router issue and not the fault of the range extender itself.

Bought this extender and an Apple Airport Express to compare. I have to say, this Netgear has MUCH better range than the Airport Express. I can't say I was genuinely happy with either, but this was the better of the 2 in my eyes.

Super easy to set up. Small enough so it blends in anywhere. Nice long power cord to reach where needed to place for best reception. Even has lighted icon on front to let you know where optimum reception is reached. Love it!!

I was hoping this would show up as the same network -- not require its own password and not require devices to switch from one router to the other. So it isn't a seamless increase in area, but it does what it says it will do.

Needed more range in my home because many of my devices did not have enough range to reach the router. This product extended the wifi signal so that all devices within my home could connect to the internet.
